In January, David Guetta at the Grammy said he's was working with RiRi on some tracks. Well after a short preview of a completed track is gonna be amazing.
David Guetta played yesterday a preview of his new song with Rihanna! Listen/watch below (after the 0:50 mark).
Meh. David Guetta is now becoming vastly overrated. His tracks seem to always start off as brilliant, but then they tend to get old very quick...
More news on RiRi's fifth album.
Didn't realise this era was to be so short.
At least its not been dragged out like Beyonce's latest, I think it's a good idea, the public don't seem to get bored of Rihanna.
Has anyone actually told her she's allowed to wait a year or two before albums? Clearly not.
The fact that she will have relesead 5 albums in 6 years though Honestly, I dont see what the rush is...she dragged the last album out for absoultely ages....
I'm excited for another album, hopefully a more GGGB sound. I doubt we'd get a fourth single though and 'Fire Bomb' needs a release.
Kesha has also written a/few track(s) for her
The same was said about GGGB/Rated R so I wouldn't worry too much. I think it'll be out next year at earliest tbh.
I hope she doesn't retreat back to songs like on GGGB, I think she needs to progress like she did from GGGB to Rated R.
I agree, there shouldn't be a retreat, i actually like RR just as much as GGGB.
Hopefully she'll stay darker like Rated R-ish, I do love RR aas much as GGGB, but I think the material on RR suits her more
I'm glad Rihanna is moving on quickly. I'm not keen on her new sound in Rated R. I hope she goes back to a more pop sound which made her last album such a smash.
Personally I much prefered GGGB to Rated R, however she couldnt really go back to the GGGB sound without people thinking of it as taking a step-back really.
The somewhat darker edge of RR did suit her well though i'll give her that.
She could still do some more fun pop anthems though, 'Rude Boy' was hardly that dark and that's gone on to be her 2nd biggest hit behind 'Umbrella'!
Of course its beat Take A Bow .. lmao sorry
*Chooses to ignore*
Like TAB or not, there's no denying it was a big hit for Riri
Rude Boy is one of her very best imo!
PRODUCERS NERVO HOPING TO LAND “QUIRKY” LOVE SONG ON RIHANNA’S NEW ALBUM!
I will find hilarious if the producers talking about the upcoming album don't make the final cut.
That's right, it's pretty much confirmed that the new single will be out late summer, Rated R is officially done (after 'Hard').
Here's the chat via Twitter:
Q: luvRockstar101
Im expecting some sort of Ke$ha work on this album...
I'm really looking forward to it
I really am annoyed now. Ah well. Nine Times Out Of Ten artists leave their best tracks as album tracks It's not the first time RiRi's done it, is it?
Excited for her new era. Hopefully another XF performance
Hopefully this album is gonna be a smash surely a return to her pop roots would see her smashing the charts once again
I hope the whole 'the bar for this album is MJ's 'Thriller' is true if so then were gonna have 100000 singles again
I loved the Rated R era, the music was just amazing. Hope this time she doesn't leave any good tracks out (e.g. Breakin' Dishes & Fire Bomb)
Roll on the fifth album
Great news! Cant wait now! I still really love Rated R but I think I prefer her 'pop' sound more, very excited now
Why do people think 'Rated R' flopped? The singles have been VERY successful and the album has now sold way over 500k. So why people say things like "smashing charts once again" and stuff, is beyond me.
^sorry I love Rihanna to bits she's my favourite singer, but what I meant by that was how her singles sales were having chart longevity in the US and stuff. Rated R singles have been successful IMO considering her image change but they havent stayed as long and sold as much as the GGGB singles (bar Rude Boy). The album itself sold 2-3 million worldwide which is respectable considering the state of the market.
It's not passed 300k yet has it?
EDIT: Clearly i'm living under a rock LOL
Rihanna Rated R 454900. VERY nice sales!
The week it debuted at number 17 or whatever it was, it sold 60k-70k I think...
LOL, it wasn't that much!
She's moving on far too quickly for my liking. I've got this bad feeling that it's gonna sound like GGGB and be a regression in sound or all sound like Rude Boy copies.
Her albums have so far, all been better than the previous. NOTHING to worry about yet!
Dr Luke, Stargate, Tricky Stewart, Neyo DREAM TEAM
I'm looking forward to it, I don't really listen to Rated R much now.
GET THAT DATE IN YOUR CALENDARS PEOPLE
New developments
We do have another fifth album discussion here http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=114846
I'm really looking forward to her new album I'm a bit surprised how quick she's moving on though
But Rihanna fails to disappoint so bring on record #5
Rihanna herself has confirmed on her fan site RihannaDaily that her new album will be entitled 'LOUD'
Ugh I don't really like the title that much. It's ok. I guess it's like that saying 'never judge a book by it's cover' lol
I think its an ok title, nothing amazing, but not bad.
Really lazy and unimaginative title. Sounds really weak and boring.
I CANT WAIT for the album!
Not too keen on 'Loud' being the title though.
I recieved an e-mail from Island records and this is what they said:
Rihanna
"Only Girl (In the World)," the first lead single to the highly anticipated new studio album "Loud" is hitting the airwaves!
The album, which has been described by insiders as a return to the uptempo dance grooves of her earlier records, arrives November 16th!
16th now eh? I don't mind like, no rush haha
I hope I like this album more than Rated R. I only like about 5/13 songs on Rated R.
I don't think Rated R was a disappointment at all, it was just different.
Looking forward to this!
Rated R was amzing imo, best album so far. I'd like a few darker tracks like RR but dancey ones to like GGGB
Love 'Who's That Chick'!
Think I prefer it to 'Only Girl' already.
Is 'Who's That Chick' gonna be on Loud?
'Who's That Chick' is pretty good ! Prefer 'Only Girl' atm though!
Watch it before its gone for those who havent seen it.
The video is quite colourful, reminds me of the Cali Gurls vid but a much cheaper version
Not that keen on the amount of autotune they've used, in the verses especially.
The chorus is nice though, very catchy.
I love the video.
It's like a colourful and hyper version of 'Disturbia'.
Thats amazing! I actually prefer it to Only Girl! The video's really cheap though...
Has anyone got a CDQ version?!
This sounds a bit mad because i only heard the song half an hour ago (Who's That Chick), but i think its my favourite Rihanna song ALREADY.
I must be quite behind, is 'Who's That Chick' a promo song like 'Wait Your Turn' was for 'Rated R'?
Love it though, not as much as 'Only Girl (In The World)' though.
Te Amo leaked ages before the RR. Although it wasn't a confirmed track - it still became a single.
I think this is a buzz single though, they wouldn't of made a video if it wasn't.
Ok, after listening to 'Who's That Chick' on repeat for an hour and a half, its now officially my favourite Rihanna song ever.
Oh dear.
Who's That Chick makes me feel ill. So cheap.
I kind of like the cheapness to 'Who's That Chick?', but I definitely see what you mean about it being cheap and I don't think it should be a single, even if it is nice to see her actually enjoying herself in the video. Really liking the song, but something's missing from it. I think I prefer it to 'Only Girl', but I'm not completely sure
Apparently it's David Guetta's new single, not Rihanna's. I hope so anyway, it's nice, but she can do better.
I hope its Guetta's single, I like the song, but not as much as Only Girl (In The World). The only thing that makes me think that its not Guetta's single is because he's not in the video
Who's That Chick is okay, but Only Girl (In The World) >>>>>>> WTC for me.
Rihanna has took to Twitter about the leak of 'Who's That Chick'
Who's that Chick, is an online music video/commercial that we shot for Doritos and it got leaked.........
18 minutes ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®
I don't want u to get confused...doritos is in no way connected to LOUD
17 minutes ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®
Who's That Chick = Doritos
Official album cover:
I really don't like that font. Where's the 'R' too?
STUNNING actually I LOVE IT
Simple yet effective. Love it.
Ooh I love the new cover, very simple, but stunning.
I love the album cover, she looks gorgeous. It's very simple, but looks effective.
it does not look right without the 'R'.
It's not that great...
It's alright, the covers for 'Rated R' and 'Good Girl Gone Bad' were better.
I hate the font. I also don't like how the R isn't there.
This has been posted on a website, don't know how official it is -
JustJared had an exclusive listening to Rihanna new album Loud earlier today. Her new album which hit stores on November 16th. He revealed the partial track listing to what songs he listen to, and a quick review on what the songs are about. Check it out below.
“S&M” – It’s definitely a club banger and the naughtiest song of all! Here are some of the sample lyrics as best I heard them: “I may be bad but I’m perfectly good… There’s sex in the air. I don’t care, I love the smell of it… Sticks and stones may break my bones but chains and whips excite me. I like it, come on, come on.”
“Only Girl (In The World)”: The whole room was dancing along! During the lyrics “hold me like a pillow,” L.A. hugged himself like a pillow, too. Funny moment!
“What’s My Name?” – It’s the second single off of Loud – listen to a bit of the track here! “Oh nah nah, what’s my name? …Hey boy, I really wanna see if you can go downtown with a girl like me. Oh boy, I wanna really be with you, you’re just my type… You’re so amazing, you took the time to figure me out..”
“Cheers” – The song samples Avril Lavigne’s “I’m With You” and is so unbelievably catchy! Avril’s “yeahh, yeahh, yeahhh, yeahhh” are prevalent throughout. This song will be so huge in clubs, bars, and everywhere that serves alcohol. Everybody will be raising a glass! Sample lyrics: “Turn it around with a dollar round, there’s a party at the bar everybody put your glasses up… Cheers to the freakin weekend, I drink to that. Everybody put your glasses up. Don’t let the bast*rds get you down… Drinks on my mind and my mind on my money.”
“California King (Bed)” – A beautiful ballad! Lyrics include: “nose to nose, palm to palm, wrist to wrist, toe to toe…Feels like more than distance between us. In this California king bed, we’re 10,000 miles apart. I’ll be California wishing on the stars, my California king.” It’s L.A.’s favorite song off the album!
“Raining Men” – The fast and uptempo song features Nicki Minaj! There isn’t much of a chorus, but the song features a variation of the popular children’s phrase “eenie meenie miney mo”.
“Who’s That Chick” – Used for a Doritos ad . There are two videos for this track!
“Fading Away” – A beautiful ballad that likely references her relationship with Chris Brown. The song includes the lines, “Ready for change, baby, Open up my eyes and finally realize you’re fading away. Too late… Running your mouth. So fed up, don’t press your luck today. What’s a girl to do when she’s crying inside?”
“Man Down” – The song starts off with sirens and sounds like a metaphor for deadening a relationship. Lyrics include: “I pulled out my gun… Ra pum pum pum pum. Oh mama, mama, mama, I just shot a man down in central station. Never thought I’d do it. Whatever ever happened to me. Why did I pull the trigger. What am I gonna do?”
--
If true it means that 'Who's That Chick' is on (Even though Rihanna herself said it had nothing to do with 'Loud')
I'd so love a Nicki collab, that would be amazing!
'Man Down' sounds so good. Really hope it's true!
A very simple cover but I quite like it! The type is actually quite nice.
Rihanna & Nicki = AMAZING
Well now we know why Avril has a writing credit on Cheers!
I know this has got nothing to do with 'LOUD' but Rihanna is in London
I wanna know her whereabouts [stalker alert]
What's she in London for?
I already do love the sound of 'cheers'.
''Cheers'' sounds AMAZING. Glad that ''Who's That Chick'' looks likely to be on the album too!
The deluxe edition of 'Loud' will have this...
'This special deluxe version of LOUD includes a 30 minute DVD that chronicles Rihanna recording her new album and features special behind the scenes content.'
I'm defo buying the deluxe edition
I don't get why they put DVD content on deluxe editions....I would rather have 3 or 4 more bonus songs...that is why I buy a deluxe edition......I love Who's That Chick too....it should be put on this album...the video is fun!!
http://musicistheheartofoursoul.toxicstrut.net/?p=7626
Apparently its fake
It would've been great if it was real, Lady Gaga duet would've been fab
LADY GAGA!?
*PLEASE DONT BE FAKE!*
Its fake.
I've just typed the barcode in on musicmagpie.co.uk and its the barcode for GGGB.
http://www.musicmagpie.co.uk/Sellit.asp?offerprice=MC4zMA&artist=Rihanna&title=Good%20Girl%20Gone%20Bad&NoCds=MQ&format=CD&tf=CD&barcode=0602517361614&raw=MC4wMQ&loc=103
'Broken Heels' featuring Lady GaGa? Come on, they could've at least put a bit of thought into a fake title than using the title of an Alexandra Burke single.
'What's My Name' Featuring. Drake has leaked in CDQ!
Edit: It didn't leak, it was sent to American Radio Stations.
Its Amazing.
“What`s My Name?” is awesome!
Rihanna and Eminem are teaming up again for a sequel to their hit song, “Love The Way You Lie.”
JustJared.com can confirm the Alex Da Kid-produced song will appear on Ri’s forthcoming album Loud, which drops in stores November 16th.
In the song “Love The Way You Lie (Part 2)“, Rihanna sings,
“Even angels have their wing cut schemes, and you take that to new extremes, but you will always be my hero, even though you lost your mind.”
I can't wait hopefully it'll be an unexpected smash like 'Empire State Of Mind Pt. II'
Empire pt II was a hit straight off the back of the original but Rihanna already has Only Girl, What's My Name AND Who's That Chick out there so I don't think Love The Way You Lie pt II (if it's even any good) should be a single.
oOo I look forward to that!
Yay, I think it could be immense! But 'Empire State pt. II' got VERY boring very quickly, so maybe it's best if it isn't a single.
Excited to hear this. Maybe it's a Rihanna solo?
According to DefPen Radio (they are quite reliable) this is the tracklisting for LOUD:
I'm very interested to hear 'Love The Way You Lie Part II'!
I cant wait!
Is 'Who's That Chick not on the album? Or is it a Bonus Track?
'Love The Way You Lie (Part II)' is blates a cash in on Jay's & Alicia's recent success with 'Empire State Of Mind'... Ah well. Hopefully it's good!
Deluxe Edition...
^OMG!
Pre-ordered!
It's just called being clever. Why not cash in on the song's success? Personally I wish it didn't feature Eminem but oh well. I'm not a big fan of the original anyway.
^ I agree, everyone knows and loves the song mostly for the chorus. Not Eminem's rapping, sorry but it's true.
Oh and loving the deluxe cover, it looks so much better with 'Rihanna' on the cover.
What?!?!? Eminem's rapping is the best part of the song/
I'm not normally a fan of rap, but I like Eminem's part almost as much as Rihanna's. I think it's just some of his lyrics that I love (especially the part about window pane)
I hope they chuck Who's That Chick on the end, 12 tracks minimum on an album please!
As much as i'm loving the new stuff, Only Girl, Who's That Chick and What's My Name, ATM i'm preferring the Rated R Rihanna i think. Im already starting to get a bit bored of the 3 songs we've heard off Loud.
Im still VERY excited to hear the rest of the album though. My opinion might change after listening to it...
rated r was $h!t . loud will be brilliant. rihanna is back on top of her game finally
Rated R is easily her finest effort.
I strongly disagree about Rated R. There are only four or five tracks at best which I like on the album. Its a much harder sound and image which doesnt really suit her in my opinion.
Rated R is definitely her best album as a whole, she really came into her own with that and her attitude on some of the tracks actually seemed more authentic than any previous attempts at that. It was better because it was more real sounding. Good Girl Gone Bad had a few catchy pop classics but it had its fair share of filler on there, Rated R had about two or three fillers.
This new stuff is sounding quite generic, I quite like 'What's My Name' though.
Rated R worked extremely well as an album, which personally I don't think is common with today's pop albums, usually they're quite sporadic but Rated R was structured and laid out perfectly. The only track that didn't do it for me was Photographs (feat. will.i.am.
I cannot wait for Loud. I love Only Girl and What's My Name! I'm really eager to hear Man Down!
I'm personally really eager to hear 'Cheers', what I've heard about it sounds like it could be AMAZING.
Yeah, definitely sound's like a party anthem. I don't know why I'm so eager to hear Man Down, I think I remember her talking about it in an interview and it excited me, although I can't remember what she said.
Cannot WAIT for 'Raining Men'. Rihanna + Nicki surely = absolute HEAVEN?!
Someone on PJ who's heard the full album says that Complicated is the stand-out whilst Raining Men is the low point. He says it 'doesn't showcase Nicki' and 'doesn't go anywhere'. We'll see!
As an ex-hater of Rihanna I'm going to jump into the fan community and say I can't wait
Saturday Night Live Performances
The 'Only Girl (In The World)' performance was quite a mess she shouldn't have used those auto-tune effect and the band I just hope she doesn't have them on her X Factor performance tonight or it'll be a complete disaster
The 'What's My Name' performance on the other hand was good IMO the bridge was sung amazingly well!
Oh dear at the 'Only Girl (In The World)' performance. It seemed so messy, I hope she has changed the performance for tonight on The X Factor. The performance of 'What's My Name' on the other hand, was incredible!
Wasn't a real fan of "What's my name" when I heard it on YouTube... but this performance makes it all right
Pre-Ordered my copy from HMV before.
So excited to hear it!
Love the Way You Lie (Part 2) is completely !
ADORE it.
It's great isn't it? And I don't even like Pt 1! Even Eminem is tolerable on it.
I really like 'Love the Way You Lie (Part II)' as well. Looking forward to buying the album.
'Love The Way You Lie (Part II)' is sensational! Her vocals sound real. Interest in this album has been reignited for me!
'Love The Way You Lie Part II' is absolutely stunning! Rihanna's voice is beautiful on it, hopefully it becomes as big as Part I.
I really like the drums and the whole mood of Love The Way You Lie Part II. It's just so moving. Her vocals on this is her best to date.
I just really hope it doesn't become a single. It would be a backwards direction for Rihanna.
lol i can't really tell much difference between the parts
The verses are literally SUBLIME.
I already prefer it to everything else I've heard from 'Loud'.
LOVE it!
I prefer it to the Eminem version.
Love The Way You Lie Pt. II is absolutely amazing this album is shaping up to be her best
Seeing her tomorrow at Westfields! YAY
GGGB & RR were fantastic albums but this is looking to be so much better
literally LOVED LOVED LOVED every song I've heard so far!
I loved that she experimented on the last album and love that she went down that root, but this album suits her so much more I reckon
Wow, Love The Way You Lie pt. II is amazing . Her vocals are immense and the lyrics are really good, probably better than the original. I don't think I'd mind too much if it got released, but I might get sick of it quick, just like I did with 'Empire State Of Mind pt. II'.
I much prefer the new version of 'Love The Way You Lie'. It sounds more powerful and has more intensity to it.
Part II is lovely, it does sound even more similar to Airplanes than the original though.
Did it leak yet? If so can someone PM me a link? I am too excited...
OMG just got home from Westfields, had the best time everrr I was at the front and when she was walking in, I was face to face with her I am so overjoyed! and towards the end when she was having her picture taken with the competition winners, I waved my Rihanna book at her and she saw it, she SMILED and WAVED back at me she is such a nice person I would've gotten the book signed but the staff wouldn't let her go down
OVERALL had an absolutely AMAZING time
Love 'LTWYL pt. 2'! A lot better than everything else I've heard from 'Loud' so far ('Who's That Chick?' would've been, but I heard the mastered version and it's crap!) It should be a single, and it will be as it's a blatant cash-in. Plus Eminem wouldn't mind the extra sales of 'Recovery' I'm guessing.
Has anyone got a CDQ Love The Way You Lie (Part II) link please?
It's available to pre order on UK iTunes right now. Just pre-ordered it.
OMG. LTWYL Part 2. Preferred it over the first one which is very unexpected.
New 30 second leak: California King Bed
http://www.zshare.net/audio/82341708c534779b/
http://neonlimelight.com/2010/11/04/new-music-snippet-of-rihannas-california-king-bed-leaks/
...and I don't know if it's been posted yet...
...as the tracklist differs, I think it's fake, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was the style. After all I haven't ever seen that picture yet...
Yeah, whoever made up the name of that Lady GaGa collaboration could've tried harder to come up with a more convincing title at least...
Well true... I just wonder where they got the pic from.
You can listen to previews of all the songs here:
http://www.rihanna.de/
Click on 'MP3 Download' on the right and then click 'Loud'
Really like the sound of 'S&M', 'Raining Men' and 'Skin' especially.
You can listen to clips here!
http://www.umusic.me/dispatch.do?def=.detailsLayout&productId=00602527577265&catUniqueName=Rihanna
It's true, I know...
...however I believe this one already circulated before the tracklist was revealed. They did get some of them right, unless they were already revealed. I don't know. Oh well...
Really wouldn't be too surprised if this leaks tonight. There's already been a hoax leak and now S&M has leaked in full.
Actually LOVE it!
Brilliant album opener.
Love the verses on S&M but the chorus is a boring Sexy Bitch rehash. It's supposed to be the third single as well... I can only hope they'll change their minds.
Cheers is just brilliant.
ah wtf. I'm dying to hear the clips but they're not working for me.
I love 's&m' though, my favourite song from 'loud' so far behind 'only girl'. really wanna hear 'cheers' and 'complicated' though.
'S&M' is incredible! I LOVE it.
This is shaping up to be Rihanna's best era so far!
'S&M' is gooood, I was expecting something more exciting with a title like that but it's catchy and solid.
okay, I've just found 'cheers' on the internet.
never thought I'd love a rihanna song this much. it's completely brilliant. the avril lavigne style 'yeah yeah yeah!'s especially. f**king love.
Leaked.
Oh it's fake. :\
Credit to Rihanna's team for being able to prevent the leaks with only one week to go before its official release [Nov.12 in Ireland]
I thought that it would leak around late October because they revealed the tracklisting and stuff but I'm glad that most of it is still not leaked.
S&M is amazing been listening to it all day today I'm looking forward to hearing 'California King Bed'
S&M What does S&M stand for btw?
I want to hear the rest NOW!
Sadism & Masochism.
The pleasure of inflicting/receiving pain on/from someone...usually sexually.
I want this album to leak, like, NOW.
There have been so many fakes.
sounds like a radio rip but still, you can hear it's godliness.
Still not leaked yet?
'Cheers' and 'Complicated have leaked in full now.
Wish the whole album would just leak already, it's annoying that songs are leaking separately!
The 'Cheers' vid Doug posted is just all the clips from online put together as one song, it's not the full song itself.
It's certainly the majority of the song though!
EDIT: Just had a listen to them and they're both quite dull. Especially 'Cheers'. 'Complicated' is a bit too shouty for my liking.
Hopefully the last 5 (?) songs from the album will be brilliant. I really can't see this topping 'Rated R' for me at all though.
Both are pretty great! Cheers has such refreshing production. So chilled for a party song. Complicated keeps switching the production up throughout the song and her vocal delivery is fearsome! Both are way better than S&M.
well tbh this could not just be my favourite rihanna album, but my favourite album of the year judging from the tracks we've heard so far. 'cheers' and 'complicated' are f**amazing and 's&m' and 'only girl' are also great. bring on the 4 remaining tracks.
Love Cheers! Can't wait for LOUD.
I think this could be my fave album this year, S&M and Cheers are brilliant as are Only Girl, Whats My Name and LTWYL Part II and Complicated is really good too!
"Cheers" is amazing Love her going back to the Barbadian summer feel...
I think Cheers should be a fourth single for the summer. I like it's so laid-back and different from your average "party" song.
I really don't like 'Cheers'.
'Raining Men' has leaked and I LOVE it. It's pretty much what I expected after listening to the clips.
Rihanna + Nicki =
Ugh Raining Men is really poor. Messy, tinny production. Nicki is the only good thing about it. Best to worst so far:
10.0 What's My Name
09.5 Complicated
09.0 Only Girl (In The World)
09.0 Cheers (Drink To That)
08.0 S&M
06.0 Raining Men
Raining Men
S&M
I haven't listened to Cheers or Complicated yet, i'm just going to wait until the album properly leaks now.
I'd say:
10.0 What's My Name
09.0 Raining Men
08.5 S&M
07.5 Complicated
07.5 Only Girl (In The World)
06.0 Cheers (Drink To That)

10 - Only Girl
10 - What's My Name
9.5 - S&M
9 - Cheers
9 - LTWYL Part II
8 - Complicated
6.5 - Raining Men
Loving them all, although Raining Men isnt the best (but I think it'll grow on me)
Anyone else think Raining Men = Video Phone (Part II)?
For me:
10.0 What's My Name?
10.0 Love The Way You Lie Part II
09.5 S&M
09.0 Only Girl (In The World)
07.5 Cheers
07.0 Complicated
06.5 Raining Men
S&M is sooooooooooo amazing Only heard that, WMN, LTWYL 2, RM and OG (obviously) as my internet speed is sooo slow, far too slow to download the zip/rar file, so I'll rip the remainder from YT when I get time
jumping on the bandwagon.
10: Cheers
10: Complicated
10: Only Girl
09: S&M
08: What's My Name
not listened to 'love the way you lie part 2' and 'raining men' yet.
Fiiiinally leaked!
This album is already epic and her best...
10.0 - S&M
10.0 - Only Girl
10.0 - Love the way you lie II
09.5 - What's my name
09.0 - Raining men
08.5 - Cheers
08.0 - Complicated
FINALLY!
I was just about to go bed though...
I can't find a Torrent download...
*jizz* I can't wait... *follows download bar*
PM me for link!
Link me up please Nick!
I reckon you guys got the link now?
I don't really like Cheers on first listen...
Fading
Love all of them up until now (#5) really... I should be preparing for bed but nu'uh, RiRi first
Only on the first track, but I adore 'S&M'. It's so naughty, but I love it and ridiculously catchy too .
My favourites are probably 'LTWYL Pt. 2', 'What's My Name' and 'Skin'.
Still not a fan of 'Cheers'. Really like the others although there is room to grow.
I can see 'California King Bed' being one of my favourites after a few listens...
Don't think there is anything to rival 'Hard' as my favourite Rihanna song.
EDIT: Absolutely LOVE the intro to 'Fading' but the rest of the song doesn't live up to it imo.
must download now!
Wasn't keen on Man Down at first, but it grew on me by the end.
Complicated - Good, a bit too shouty though...
Skin Sounds very Rated R like, love it.
California King Bed is soo perfect!
'California King Bed' is stunning!! Can easily see it being one of my favourites.
10.0 S&M
10.0 What's my name
09.0 Cheers (Drink to that)
08.5 Fading
10.0 Only girl (in the world)
07.0 California King Bed
08.0 Man down

Absolutley brilliant album, So far 5 songs I rank 10/10 but the others look likely to grow to this too. The only one thats not doing alot for me is 'Raining Men' and 'Skin' isn't all that great (on first listen anyways) but either way this is without doubt in my top 3 albums this year, If not my #1 proper loving it and her atm. Think she is my fave artist of the last couple of years GGGB, RR and now Loud era are all epic!
Best album thus far of 2010 definately
Im going on holiday 2 weeks today, Man Down is going to be my beach song.
can somebody please please please send me the link for this?!
PM Moi plz.
08.0 S&M - only for the verses!
10.0 What's My Name - easy favourite
09.0 Cheers (Drink To That) - I can't decide if I preferred the leak with the instrumental in the middle or not...
09.0 Fading - such a cutesy song! I think it'd be an amazing fourth single.
09.0 Only Girl (In The World)
08.5 California King (Bed) - puts me in mind of Fire Bomb. Always a good thing!
08.0 Man Down - the roll in her accent when she sings rum-pa-pa-pum is amazing.
07.5 Raining Men - I hate that it's already growing on me! Still reminds me of Sell Me Candy though.
09.5 Complicated - the best album track.
08.5 Skin - living for the mood and the production but the chorus is a little lacking currently.
09.0 Love The Way You Lie pt II - would be practically perfect without Eminem.
Strong album. I don't know yet if I prefer it to Rated R or GGGB - all have their share of filler. I do like how it doesn't abandon the sound of Rated R completely though.
The singles should be Cheers for third and Fading for fourth.
Album is boring. Eh.
I love the album. It's much better than Rated R for me. There isn't a song I hate on Loud.
OK. I definitely appreciate how Rihanna likes to experiment, but this has gone a bit in a wrong direction.
10.0 Complicated // Lyrics-wise really close to what i am feeling.
09.0 Only Girl (In The World) // Finally grew on me.
08.5 Raining Men // NICKI bitch makes any song a masterpiece <3
08.0 Fading // The intro is incredible <3 I even forgot it was a Rihanna's album lol.
05.0 What's My Name // DRAKE <3 Still very average though.
06.0 Love The Way You Lie pt. II // MEH TO THE MAX. Overrated as hell, both parts.
05.0 California King Bed // Boring.
05.0 S&M // Rude Boy was in the last album, repeating yourself Ms. RiRi.
04.0 Skin // Forgettable.
03.0 Cheers (Drink To That) // Awful. Don't like the Avril sample, really not suiting the song.
02.0 Man Down // Awful. The worst Rihanna song by quite far. She sounds so fake and try-hard there too.
Rated R was slightly better.
Everything about the album is so good except "Skin".
Listening through for the first time! Bizarre choice of sample on Cheers. Avril's I'm With You? I guess it does work though in a bizarre way.
What's My Name is obviously amazing, my favourite Rihanna song since Disturbia!
08.0 S&M | I expected the whole album to be pretty much like this. I actually think it'd make a great 3rd single, so I hope it is!
10.0 What's My Name | Love this so much. 2nd favourite on the album.
06.0 Cheers (Drink To That) | I just don't 'get' this.
08.0 Fading | Absolutely adore the intro and really like the song if slightly forgettable.
07.0 Only Girl (In The World)
08.0 California King (Bed) | I can see this majorly growing on me.
07.5 Man Down | I can see this becoming slightly annoying and repetitive but I'm liking it at the moment.
09.0 Raining Men | RIHANNA! NIICKI! AMAZING!
08.0 Complicated
10.0 Skin | Favourite on the album. Similar to Rated R in style and just generally amazing.
09.0 Love The Way You Lie pt II | Even prefer this to the original. So much emotion.
Looks like there's a 'Piano Version' of Love The Way You Lie on iTunes as a bonus track on the deluxe version...without Eminem! Looking forward to hearing that!
Definately not her best work, songs like Cheers make the whole thing sound a bit rushed and half-assed. OG and WMN are pretty good though.
The album is AMAZING. The only thing stopping it from being perfect is 'Cheers'. They should have had Who's That Chick as track 3 instead.
Just got round to listening to this album. 'California King (Bed)' is quite possibly already one of my fave Rihanna songs ever. It's the sequel to 'Fire Bomb' and also has elements of 'Big Girls Don't Cry' by Fergie and Enrique's 'Hero'. AMAZING.
'cheers' is excellence and nothing less tbh. doing that would sooooo bring the album down.
I'm gunna wait for the rest of this album, just less than a week away until it's out anyway.
I'm really not getting the hate 'Cheers' it's an obvious Avril song, and i'm a huge fan of her, but it doesn't deserve the hate it's receiving!
Cheers is lovely. Although I've had to make a radio edit to cut out that chant part.
The leaked album was the clean versions of the songs, so i hope the physical CD versions are the dirty ones.
I LOVE Nicki's "FAT BITCHES!" part on Raining Men.
Man Down and Cheers are amazing! Love the island feel to them.
California King Bed should be a single, amazing!!! S&M sounds better in HQ too! <3
My rate after one listen [only heard it a few hours ago since I was in school ]
10.0 S&M
9.0 What's My Name [ft. Drake]
8.0 Cheers [Drink To That]
9.0 Fading
10.0 Only Girl [In The World]
10.0 California King Bed
8.0 Man Down
7.0 Raining Men [ft. Nicki Minaj]
9.0 Complicated
8.0 Skin
10.0 Love The Way You Lie Pt. II
Overall, I love the album 'Raining Men' is just a bit too Beyonce for me but its ok can't wait to get my copy next monday
California King Bed & Fading
I really want the explicit version of the album, I had the clean version of Rated R since its the only one the UK released
Im sure my Rated R CD is explicit...
That was like when they bleeped out the word 'fuck' in 'Rockstar 101', really didn't work as well.
Why don't you guys just go easy and get an import Shipping costs on Amazon.com are far from obscene
Just having a quick listen now and its quite average Step down from Rated R tbh which remains my favourite Rihanna album but this era seemed so promising with early releases like Only Girl, Who's That Chick, What's My Name and Love The Way You Lie II but it seems to not really go much further than that. Although I do like Skin! More when I finish the rest of the album
My first few listens rate:
08.5 'S&M'
09.5 'What's My Name'
08.0 'Cheers (Drink To That)'
09.0 'Fading'
07.5 'Only Girl (In The World)'
10.0 'California King (Bed)' ON REPEAT!!
07.0 'Man Down'
07.5 'Raining Men'
09.0 'Complicated'
08.0 'Skin' [Reminds me of 'G4L']
10.0 'Love The Way You Lie (Part II)'
Very solid album, most tracks seem to be growing, bar 'Only Girl' which seems to have peaked a while a go for me. CKB is my clear favourite though. Very, very good album. (As expected with a Rihanna album)
10.0 S&M: This is SPECTACULAR. I don't care if it's a bit Guetta-esque at points, that post-chorus/chorus hook is astounding. My existence is MADE WORTHY by 'NANANANANA COME ON'. HOMO PARADISE
09.0 What's my Name?: I think it's being a LITTLE overrated, but this is only my second listen to it and I think it'll grow - and fair enough it's probably already grown on you all!
09.5 Cheers (Drink To That): The sample starts off very 'WTF?!' but makes a lot more sense later on. I LOVE Ri's Bajan accent on this.
08.5 Fading: That intro is absolutely divine. The rest is wonderful and quite…affable? This deserves an 8.0 but while I was listening I could never bring myself to demote it.
10.0 Only Girl (In The World): Was there ever a moment more :disco: and OSHT at the same time than the synth stabs heralding the chorus? I want them underscoring dramatic moments in my life.
10.0 California King Bed: The verses are v. Big Girls Don't Cry, the chorus is v. Fire Bomb. The results are v. fabulous. (BTW THAT GUITAR SOLO MAKES THIS)
10.0 Man Down: I LOVE the tinny Caribbean production and 90s reggae sound to all of this. Fantastic. A VERY clever yin to Russian Roulette's yang!
08.5 Raining Men: It's very Check It Out/Diva/tinny mid-00s rap crossover. Somehow it still works. Because it features Nicki Minaj.
10.0 Complicated: This is very The Last Song on caffeine through the medium of early 00s dance/trance! Which is actually quite shockingly an amazing mix.
09.0 Skin: RATED R LIVES! Very G4L mixed with a bit of Russian Roulette mixed with something else from that album mixed with the middle eight of Question Existing. Lovelove.
09.5 Love The Way You Lie (Part II): I live for this. Apart from the Eminem bits, which I merely enjoy.
I think this is really contending for album of the year for me, but I'll give it another few listens. Definitely the best step forward for Rihanna.
THE GAYS are so easily pleased nowadays! TEE HEE

I'm rather unimpressed in all honesty. I may not have been the greatest fan of 'Rated R' but I'm finding new appreciation for it all the sudden when compared with this.
The first half is most definaly stronger than the second, S&M I'm quite taken with due to it's gaymazingness and Only Girl remains very good. Whats My Name and California King Bed are also enjoyable but unworthy of their hype, Part II of LTWYL is decent but bumbles along as a bit of a non-event.
The sample in Cheers does bizzarly enough work but it doesnt stop the song from not being very good, Complicated isnt too bad but the rest well, even Minaj cant save Raining Men and Man Down is just awful.
I did want to like this album (mainly since it's been 2 years since I posted anything vaguely posistive in the Rihanna forum) honestly but sigh, I'll just have to add her to the list of female artists who's BJ topics I come and ruin with my NEGATIVITY.
My current ratings:
09 S&M
09 What's My Name
08 Cheers (Drink To That)
09 Fading
11 Only Girl (In The World)
08 California King Bed
07 Man Down
06 Raining Men
05 Complicated
11 Skin
07 Love The Way You Lie (Part II)
Ok. 'Complicated' may be giving 'California King (Bed)' and 'Love The Way You Lie (Part II)' a good run for their money as the highlight of the album. It's something Alexis Jordan should have recorded instead of that 'Happiness' thing!
I'm with the majority of prefering 'Rated R' which is my favourite Rihanna album and one of my favourite albums ever. This is still pretty strong, but feels like her most rushed album, still has amazing tracks in 'Cheers', 'California King Bed' and the two singles though.
Funnily enough I can quite easily imagine Rihanna recording Happiness and it fitting nicely on this album LOL
I've fallen in love with 'Complicated' I've grown on liking 'Man Down' too
regardless of what ya'll think, the album will sell well, she's had a ww hit with only girl, she's about to have a ww hit with what's my name and she'll undoubtedly have a ww hit with s&m so i'm sure her label are happy.
i'm a fan of the album personally, i found rr too dark.

Overall, another incredible album from Rihanna, not sure if I prefer it to Good Girl Gone Bad or Rated R yet, after first listen, but I have a feeling I'll end up preferring it.
She is becoming one of my fave Artists ever atm
And mine, and I never thought I'd say that a few years ago. I positively disliked her up until the Good Girl Gone Bad era, Unfaithful and SOS aside. I found Pon De Replay, We Ride and If It's Lovin' That You Want all truly awful, so I never thought I'd be a fan! But since 2007 she seriously hasn't put a foot wrong in my eyes, even if I don't 'get' her songs at first, they always grow on me to the point of love, without fail. Loud is another stunning collection imo, her third absolutely brilliant album in a row.
I've had this album on repeat for 3 days now.
Can't wait for my physical copy to arrive. Hopefully it'll come on Saturday...
In case anyone didn't realise....Fading samples the track One By One by Enya! She rarely ever lets anyone sample her music, so im surprised they got clearannce for it
This is the track incase anyone is curious
^ That's the best part of the song! Had no idea it was sampled, thank you!
Really love her new album, my favourites are S&M, Man Down, What's My Name, Only Girl and Complicated.
could someone put me in the direction of a link please. every one i have tried has been deleted
I've grown even more addicted to "S&M".
Biggest grower: "Raining men". Those 2 + "What's my name" are the tracks I play over and over...
Love The Way You Lie pt II (iTunes Piano Edit) is out there now. I don't really like it as much as the main album version and I never thought I'd say this but the song actually needs Eminem on there. The piano edit doesn't feel as emotional without him and without the synths etc.
Yeah I agree, it does feel a little bit bare actually. The drums and synths definitely work in the original Part II, as does the cut to Eminem and you certainly notice them missing here. Still a very good song but won't go down as a classic ballad rework.
Any version without Eminem is a good version.
Explicit Raining Men <3
The promotional pictures for 'Loud' are absolutely STUNNING she is so beatiful
Hope my physical copy is here tomorrow
Avoiding this until Christmas Heard 'Man Down' on KISS the other day, so I've heard that
i love it though.
I'm listening now and it's very poor. To say we'd heard 6/11 of the songs, all the 4 new ones I've heard so far are incredibly poor, with 'Raining Men' the best of a bad bunch! I'll rate the whole thing after a couple more listens, but most of it's forgettable thus far.
How bizarre, I'd say Raining Men is easily the most forgettable song on the album! Not the worst (least brilliant?) but the least memorable. It doesn't have a hook really, just a chant.

I realise that looks RIDICULOUS but it's truly a fantastic album.
it has definitely grown on me over the past few hours or so
My physical copy didn't arrive today!
I pre-ordered it on HMV 2 weeks ago so i'd get it a couple of days early before its release, but its not come...
I'll have to wait till Monday now.
The album is AMAZING Not one song I dislike!
I just can't get past the production on S&M. It's so fucking cheap and so out of place on this album which is otherwise full of the slickest production of her career. It's a shame because the verses are amazing but that chorus ruins everything. I don't really think What's My Name is throwaway either (especially not compared to S&M!). It's just downbeat.
How can you RESIST something as ICONIC as 'NA NA NA COME ON, I LIKE IT LIKE IT COME ON'?
That's not iconic dear. Umbrella is iconic. Rude Boy at a push. This hysterical hyperbole has to end.
I can't resist either of them tbh.
Got my album today I also bought the piano verson of LTWYL Pt. II
Shame the album is clean, but its explicit on iTunes so i'll buy the explicit tracks separately
GET LOUD BITCHEZZ
My physical copy FINALLY arrived today.
BITCH PLEASE. Te Amo is boring azz. What's My Name is her FIFTH BEST SONG!
Anyway she has a very fabulous new 'do:
After one listen through;
09.5 S&M
07.5 What's My Name
09.5 Cheers (Drink To That)
07.0 Fading (most forgettable song on the album)
08.0 Only Girl (In The World)
09.5 California King (Bed)
09.5 Man Down
08.5 Raining Men
09.5 Complicated
09.0 Skin
10.0 Love The Way You Lie (pt II) [I thought high expectations would soften it's impact on me, but this song just DRIPS with emotion]
EDIT: The bonus Only Girl remix has made me fall in love with the song all over again.
Don't like the hair at all.
I swear she looks more amazing all the time. I'm loving her so much more with long hair as well I think she looks absolutely stunning in the 'What's My Name' video. I would.

That new hair is HORRIFIC. I hope she gets rid of it quick.
'LOUD' is currently #2 in the midweeks, behind TT
its sold 34k on its first day of release already outsold 'Rated R' first week sales of 32k

Brilliant album bar a couple of blips for me. Skin I still can't remember after 10 listens through the entire album thus far, and Raining Men just isn't my sort of thing - I've still failed to be impressed by Nicki Minaj personally Man Down is quite good but I don't love it. Everything else though is basically brilliant - the first half of the album is spectacular. California King Bed would be my ideal third single!
Yey Physical copy is here, need to blast it now!
My physical copy arrived today, love it!
Her midweek position and sales are both incredible, judging by the sales, I predict she might get about 80k!
After a fair few listens 'Cheers' has really grown on me now. I've had it stuck in my head all day today...
I don't use this word often but this album is EPIC, playing it LOUD on my CD player now!

Average: 8.77
A big improvement on 'Rated R', which had one 10 (Hard), and some songs lower than 6.
'Raining Men' is really growing on me, so addictive. I adore Nicki's rap in it too.
'Raining Men' is definitely the song Beyonce tried to make! It's excellent.
Anyway, my updated rate:
08.0 'S&M' (Starting to get bored of it. Hope it's not the single after WMN )
10.0 'What's My Name?' (The biggest grower. It just grows and grows)
09.0 'Cheers (Drink To That)'
10.0 'Fading' (Still as stunning as the first time I heard it )
08.5 'Only Girl (In The World)' (So this may be re-growing!)
10.0 'California King (Bed)' (Contending for my favourite ever Rihanna track!)
07.0 'Man Down' (Although it's alright, it's the only song on the album I skip)
09.0 'Raining Men' (Grower!)
10.0 'Complicated' (I get a weird feeling, this could (or should, at least) be a single)
08.0 'Skin' (On memory, it's forgettable, but when it's on I Love It!)
10.0 'Love The Way You Lie (Part II)' (Full of pure and raw emotion!)
Album of the year? Definitely a contender. Her best album yet? YES! I realise it maybe too early to say that, but I'm astounded at how she manages to improve with each album, and every one has been better than the last.
my rate:
10: S&M - great opener to the album, the lyrics in the chorus made me laugh quite a bit. it does sound like 'sexy bitch' a lot but that doesn't stop it from being amaze.
08: What's My Name? - overrated. drake is no improvement either. it's listenable, but nothing more really.
10: Cheers - favourite on the album, matter of fact favourite rihanna song. the fact that it samples lavigne is enough to make it enough.
10: Fading - really stunning ballad. love the 'go on, be gone, ta ta, song long' and 'it's too late, it's too late' parts especially.
10: Only Girl - before I heard the album I thought this was going to be my favourite, but it's quite far from, and that's saying something as I still think this is brilliant.
10: California King Bed - another 10, this song reminds me of 'fire bomb' quite a bit. love how it starts off acoustic and then the electric guitars kick in.
09: Man Down - reminds me a little bit of robyn - 'dancehall queen'. I like it.
07: Raining Men - least favourite on the album. I've listened a few times to the album now and I can't really remember what this one goes like. nicki is awful also.
10: Complicated - loved it from the moment it leaked, maybe my favourite rihanna ballad behind 'russian roulette'.
08: Skin - quite forgettable, but I still like it.
08: Love the Way You Lie (Part 2) - well I don't like the original, but I like this as it's more rihanna-centered. doesn't make it amazing though.
I really wasn't expecting to love the album as much as I do, possible shock album of the year for me. my favourite is 'cheers', then followed by 'complicated' and 'california king bed'. the three Cs on the album.
I love how she changes her look every era <3 I think it's good and kind of useful that people will associate appearance with an album!
After a few listens:
08 S&M
10 What's My Name feat. Drake
09 Cheers (Drink To That)
09 Fading
09 Only Girl (In The World)
10 California King Bed
09 Man Down
07 Raining Men feat. Nicki Minaj
09 Complicated
09 Skin
10 Love The Way You Lie (Part II) feat. Eminem
GOOD GOD Doug your rate is absolute madness. 8/10 equates to a song being 'listenable but nothing more' does it?! No wonder you gave five thousand tens.
California King Bed and S&M are my current faves.
What's My Name isn't all that, shame it got the #1 instead of Only Girl in the US.

More polarised that Rated R, which was pretty much 8 and above for the whole thing but had only two 10s - Hard and Rude Boy. I'm not sure whether this or Rated R is her best album in my eyes...
FIVE POINT FIVE?
Oh YOU
Anyway my revised rating:

I never come here but I need to ask...
Is Only Girl (In The World) a good representation of this album? I love that song and have gotten quite into Rihanna.
Ish. 'S&M' is the only song properly like it though. Doesn't mean it's a bad album though!
Yeah Only Girl is one of only two big DANCE numbers really. For me though the fewer the better - the rest of the album is more of a GGGB/Rated R hybrid.
10 S&M
9.5 What's My Name
8 Cheers (Drink To That)
8 Fading
10 Only Girl (In The World)
10 California King Bed

10 Love The Way You Lie Part 2
Cheers (Drink to That) and Man Down are my favourites at the moment.
Debuts at #2 in the UK
What's My Name debuts at #18 in the singles chart
Rihanna burning up the charts
AMAs performance ('LTWYL Pt. II', 'What's My Name', 'Only Girl'):
Amazing performance!
Love seeing her dancing during what's my name. Those LEGS!
That performance was brilliant! I loved her vocals for the part of LTWYL Pt. II, and she looked A.MAZ.ING.
Stunning performance! Seriously amazing, she's becoming SO good as a performer. Really hope she tours with this album!
Best performance from the LOUD era IMO
Her legs are just WOW and she just proved that she can dance
I ed when she fell off the tree

So pleased that she sold over 200k hopefully it'll be another million seller!
It's already outdoing 'Rated R' first week sales so hopefully it'll sell more in the long run
Who the f*** is Jackie Evancho?!
in youtube check out my remix of the song Complicated... Rihanna - Complicated (ETL Remix) or check your my channel stillaboymusic
'LOUD' down 3 to #5 this week
'What's My Name' climbs 8 to #10
and 'Only Girl' falls 1 to #5
2 entries in the Top 10 this week
I hope 'Who's That Chick' can also reach top 10, Imagine Rihanna having 3 top 10 singles simultaneously Rihanna Domination
Just listened to Love The Way You Lie II, it reminds me (especially nearer to the end with Eminem's bit) of 'Stan'! It's fantastically written, the whole thing, She should definitely release it!..
Cher sang 'Love The Way You Lie Part 2' on X Factor tonight
Hopefully it'll give the original song a boost since Part 2 isn't available to download
'Man Down' is f***ing amazing ! <3
'Complicated' has finally properly clicked with me. Love it!
'Complicated' really is quite something once it clicks. It's brilliant.
'Man Down' has suddenly clicked with me. It's pretty great and the "rump-apa-pom" parts give me a weird Christmassy feeling Every track is now at least an 8 or above imo. This album seriously doesn't get old. The only 2 songs which I don't think that much of are 'S&M' and 'Only Girl (In The World)' but saying that OG(ITW) is re-growing...
Looking at the midweeks and sales from last week, this will have probably sold more in the UK than the US as of Sunday. How odd!
Anyone know how much it has sold in the UK?
I'm bored, can I make an album rate game for this?
Go ahead! Was going to myself, but I'd only end up not completing it.
awesome I'll set it up in a few minutes.
I've given this album a good couple of listens now and overall, I'm really impressed! I love it! My favourite track on the whole album is 'Man Down'.. I just love the 'rum pu pu pum' bit she does! California King Bed and Cheers (Drink to That) are also standouts for me as well. Love the rocky edge to California King Bed!
Complicated and Raining Men haven't really clicked with me yet... they are OK, but compared to Man Down etc I'm not very keen on those tracks at all.
If I had to rank them...
Outstanding Tracks: Man Down, California King Bed and Cheers (Drink to That)
Good Tracks: S&M, Fading, What's My Name?, Skin, Love The Way You Lie Part 2
Average Tracks: Only Girl in The World, Complicated, Raining Men
I'm bored with Only Girl In The World now.. I think it's because it's been played so many times and I don't think it's one of her best songs.
Overall, I'd rank the album a healthy 8/10.
Doing SO well in the UK.
Went back up to #2 this week, selling 193k (!) bringing her total to 514k. Amazing!
I hope this can reach #1 during a quiet week next year! most likely when 'S&M' is released
I could see it reaching #1 some time next year, it would be great if 'What's My Name?' reaches #1 in the first week of 2011 and 'Loud' did too!
Will easily get to #01 in early January I think. Think this might actually surpass Good Girl Gone Bad as her most successful era Which I never thought was possible. We'll see though, it's being handled MUCH better than 'Rated R' so far.
I was doing my xmas shopping at HMV today and I saw a lot of people buying 'Loud'
Rihanna is so popular atm, my mum bought me loud in hmv! I'm not complaining S&M has not dropped out the top 100 on itunes... Please after this release Califronia King Bed or Love The Way You Lie Part 2.
LOUD sold 306k (!) this week, bringing its UK total to 820k and making it the 4th-best seller of the year.
Rated R is superior.
It's up to #1 this week!
So glad it is at #1 finally!
This era has been absolutely MASSIVE so far.
She finally lands the number 1 in the uk and ireland in the same week.
About time!
Now she just needs 'Whats My Name' to hit #01 please <3.
I'm sure it will, it's lead on iTunes is quite good!
76k too! She also ends number 4 on the EOY chart! This album has been seriously huge for her!
Thanks to NickF1...
SO Happy its finally got to #1!
'What's My Name' for #1 next week too please!
I can't believe this era's going so well for her, it's fantastic! Hopefully they keep up the good work, the album has potential to do even better, given the right support.
Matches its original peak in the US of #3 sales are around 65k!
Brilliant!
Sold over A MILLION ALREADY!
Amazing! Looks like it might even outsell 'Good Girl Gone Bad' eventually! Who woulda thought?!
amazing sales
I couldn't find a general discussion thread so this shall have to do for now. Ciara dissed her on some E! show in the US, Rihanna's reply on Twitter was genuinely hysterical.
SWOON.
#howrudeofme
Lol they've made up now!
I read that MAJOR LOL @ 'Goodluck with booking that stage you speak of'
Gotta admit they were both immature but Rihanna's replies were just
I wonder if they've made up though cause after Ciara replied
'Rhi u know its always been love since day 1! Doing shows/everything. you threw me off in that party! Apology accepted. Let's chat in person'
Rihanna replied 'Joke' Ohwell, both of them were in the wrong I guess, they did provide us with LOL's
@rihanna
Anything but 'Raining Men' I can't see it working as a worldwide single
'California King Bed' or 'Cheers (Drink To That)'. The latter looks like the US radio will eat it up so would be a good idea IMO.
'California King Bed' and 'CKB' <-- slang for it are both trending worldwide. That pretty much says it all.
OH MY GOD. CKB. PLEEEEEASE!
I think California King Bed is def the best choice next, and if it is a hit too, then they shud throw out Cheers in the summer time
Haha.
Ha! She's incredible.
I f***ing love this album. Rihanna really is in her class of her own for me at the minute. I really like every song on this album apart from Cheers and Fading.
MAN DOWN MAKES ME WANT TO MOVE TO BARBADOS. Best thing she has EVER DONE!
did´t like the rated R too..
Randomly had the urge to listen to 'Skin' for the first time in ages and I'm so glad I did. WHAT A SONG.
In my top 3 Rihanna tracks of all time no doubt.
Skin is rather underrated indeed. I've seen so much hate for it and I honestly don't understand
'Skin' is so good! The whole album is (still believe not one track is below a 7 for me!), but this track often never gets enough credit!
Fading is my non single highlight
It's all about Man Down Definitley her best non-single, probably ~4th for me if I were to rank all her songs *.*
^ I'd personally consider 'Man Down' to be a single!
Favourite 'Loud' album track for me... I can't decide between Fading and Complicated. Possibly an unpopular opinion, but my least favourite track on the album is 'Love The Way You Lie (Part II)'.
Jay's going to be banned from the Rihanna forum!
Typing the request as we speak
Man Down was a single I guess but not a main one, it wasn't a single here anyway aside from Man Down my pick would definitely be Complicated!
Loving the 'Fading' and 'Complicated' love *awaits a backlash for either of the tracks now*
Fading and Complicated are the only tracks on skip on this album...oops!

cali king bed and ltwyl are the two duds imo.
I just listened to Fading on Spotify and the beginning is changed? Copyright claims? I still love it, either way!
2,029,600 copies sold for Loud in UK.
10th biggest album of the decade.
I always forget when I play the album on streaming sites and not from my CD that the beginning of Fading is now changed.
That Enya sample really makes Fading tbh.
This is such a strong album though even California King Bed is sounding good and that was always my least fave ballad she’s ever done.
I think this is probably her most iconic album.
I've been listening to the album this morning and ranked the album:
1. S&M
2. Skin
3. Only Girl (In The World)
4. Love The Way You Lie Part II ft. Eminem
5. What's My Name ft. Drake
6. Man Down
7. Cheers (Drink To That)
8. California King Bed
9. Raining Men ft. Nicki Minaj
10. Complicated
11. Fading
This is as high as #3 on Ireland iTunes!
She has a new fan in Ireland
#42 on UK iTunes!
LOUD is ten today!!
A slow cover of "What's My Name?" by US singer CASSIDI is big on TikTok, currently appearing at #1002 on Apple Music UK
Listening to Man Down reminded me of this great video of a radio segment Rihanna did in Australia around 2012. It still makes me laugh.
Just listened to this album in full whilst on a walk this morning.
Every song sounds like a smash even now and it goes OFF such an album.
I’d only rank Rated R above this in terms of her discography for me. Reminiscing now about just how everywhere she was during the release of this album and the impact the album has had even to this day is undeniable, in terms of UK/Europe I’d say this is her imperial phase the Loud campaign / lead up to TTT / We Found Love she was everywhere.
I wonder if she’ll ever release music like this ever again or if her dance pop days are done.
Re-enters the UK albums top 100 at #81.
First time inside the top 100 since 2013!
112 weeks on the chart.
First time in the top 100 in the streaming era is a little surprising. Great to see though.
