16th october 2016

2 weeks on top for gorgous Red Sky July as Robbie Williams does a double big climb, Russian into the 10 for 20 years of top 10s, as his heavy entertainment shows in the 20! The singles chart streaming teens might not like him but us older folk still do. Lots climbing times 4 for kishi bashi such a varied artist. The weeknd makes it a 3rd or 4th top 10 i think, as bruno rockets into the 20.

Jean-michel snd Pet Shop Boys gets a single release at last and returns at 60, with the highest new entry from Smoove n Turrell is a cover of Hot Chocolate's 1971 2nd hit single You Could've Been A Lady.

Hey John, glad to see Billie still remaining strong in the top 30 there wub.gif

I found a song as a potential for BJSC but decided it might not do too well, anyway out of interest i'm sure it's something you'd like!

Hi Jason,

Robbie needs all the promotion he can get these days, very little non-dance/Tropical/urban makes the chart anymore! ohmy.gif

The Weeknd is more him than Daft Punk, you're right, but it's good to have both together cool.gif

Bruno prob should have gone for something totally different to Uptown for his first single after guesting, but he's very retro-70's these days anyway and I suspect he's going to appeal to older folk laugh.gif

thanks and cheers!

Hey John, glad to see Billie still remaining strong in the top 30 there wub.gif

I found a song as a potential for BJSC but decided it might not do too well, anyway out of interest i'm sure it's something you'd like!

Hi Rob, thanks for dropping by, Billie is still great smile.gif

That's an interesting potential BJSC entry, very mid-80's and a German track I've never heard in my life! 80's-sounding seems to do OK in BJSC generally, and I expect Suedehead and myself would like it, though not sure of how everyone else would go on it I'd be shocked if a few didn't like it. I've had a German synth 80's classic lined up for about a year now which I'll try not to overlap with you on for a while in case you go for this one. laugh.gif

cheers!
john
