Hello all! This week's chart features a number of new entries and some re-entries from artists who were at the Isle of Wight Festival this year, which was amazing! The Killers were a particular stand out for me, and their second single Run for Cover from their latest album Wonderful Wonderful has re-entered at #1, after originally peaking at #4 a few weeks ago. Other IOW Festival artists in my chart include Manic Street Preachers at #2 and #15, The Killers make a second appearance at #8, Blossoms at #14 and Tom Grennan at #27. Last week's #1, Kygo & Imagine Dragons - Born to Be Yours drops down 6 places to #7, whilst The 1975's Give Yourself a Try stays strong at #3. Declan McKenna's Brazil re-enters the top 10 at #10, with Marshmello ft. Leah Culver just missing out at #11. OneRepublic's latests single Connection debuts at #17, definitely expect that to rise, as I've been loving it recently! No Rome debuts at #33 with Seventeen, a song produced by The 1975 members Matty Healy and George Daniels. There are also three entries from Panic! at the Disco, after the release of their (his?) sixth album, Pray for the Wicked. Next week, expect to see new entries from Gorillaz, Florence + the Machine and Jonas Blue. See you then! #1. The Killers - Run for Cover (5-28-x-1) 2. Manic Street Preachers - Motorcycle Emptiness (2) 3. The 1975 - Give Yourself a Try (1-1-2-3) 4. Maroon 5 - This Love (6-5-4) 5. Catfish and the Bottlemen (31-8-5) 6. Hi!
Your chart really is random isn't it Run For Cover and The Man are both great songs though, shame both still sell less than Mr. Brightside I'm assuming you've just missed out the name of the Catfish song and you've not just stuck the band itself at 5 (just looked and I see 'Kathleen' is the song that was there last week, that is actually my favourite of theirs ) Nice to see Sober enter, Tom Grennan really is impressing me with his new stuff, and the new Years and Years song is probably my favourite from this era so far! Great chart |

Great chart Hey Pete! Yeah, my chart is incredibly random, but so is my listening taste! I agree, I love both The Man and Run for Cover. TBH, I've never understood why people love Mr Brightside so much! I think it's a decent song, but they have so many better tracks! I did mean Kathleen - that's been corrected and I adore that song. Tom Grennan has been constantly impessing me, every song is great! I can't wait for thr album on Friday. The new Y&Y track is great! I do prefer Sanctify, but both that and If You're Over Me are really solid tunes. Thanks for commenting! |

As much as I would love to see Maroon 5 go back to sounding like their Songs About Jane, I don't see it happening anytime soon, so I'm just happy with their new songs as it is. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if they bacame a bit more rocky in the future as they get older. Thanks for commenting! This post has been edited by WhoOdyssey: 6th July 2018, 03:10 PM |

Hey there WhoOdyssey
I approve of the randomness of your chart, it's refreshing 'Run For Cover' is a wonderful chart topper, I'll honestly never get how that wasn't a smash here, sounded like a potential Killers classic Radio 2 absolutely rinsed it during my work experience last September so at least they were stanning I guess :') 'Bangarang' is such a banger *.* my favourite Skrillex song is still 'Break'n A Sweat' with The Doors though what do you think of that one? My favourite more up to date new entry is 'All For You'! I wish that was smashing like 'If You're Over Me' is haha. Great stuff |
