Eek at 7/11 probably about to come last.
'Single Ladies' as low as possible, 'End Of Time' as high as possible please!
C'mon If I Were A Boy and Listen
46. "Amor Gitano" (feat. Alejandro Fernandez) | Average: 1.7
In last place, and rightfully so is 'Amor Gitano' which see's Beyoncé sing with Mexican singer, Alejandro Fernandez. I can't say that I particularly love this track.
45. "Fighting Temptation" (feat. Missy Elliot, MC Lite and Free) | Average: 1.9
Unfortunately 'Fighting Temptation' has not aged particularly well and I think in general is a tad meh, which you clearly thought too seeing as it finds itself 0.2 points of last place.
44. "Part II (On the Run)" (feat. Jay Z) | Average: 3.0
Taking a large jump in terms of average is the first Bey-Z collaboration to be eliminated.
43. "Wishing On A Star" | Average: 3.4
Falling out next is 'Wishing On A Star' which is a nice cover by Beyoncé, but lets be real, we aren't here for a cover song.
Yeah all those FAR from her best
Runnin to be as high up as possible plz.
Videophone to go asap.
I see 7/11 is slaying.
Hopefully 'Check On It' isn't one of the first 10 out! Such an underrated gem
No casualties in the first lot which is a great achievement for Buzzjack countdowns!
No losses so far, thought that “Fighting Temptations” would have been last though, can’t wait too see more.
42. "Lift Off" (feat. Jay Z & Kanye West) | Average: 4.3
Next up we have a track that Beyoncé collaborated with Jay and Kanye on. In all honesty it just sounds like a rabble until Bey steps in, so I am not surprised by its low position.
41. "At Last" | Average: 4,4
Another Beyoncé cover falls out next and fails to make the top 40. This time it is her cover of 'At Last' by the late Etta James. I actually do really like this cover but compared to her other singles it is weak.
40. "Until the End of Time" (feat. Justin Timberlake) | Average: 4.6
Scraping a top 40 placing is the track 'Until The End Of Time' with Justin Timberlake. I find this song a little bit bland, but it does have it's moments in places.
39. "Video Phone" (feat. Lady Gaga) | Average: 4.9
The first of Beyoncés proper singles from her own albums falls out first. It is the first of 2 collaborations with Lady Gaga. 'Video Phone' seems somewhat empty and is indeed missing something. The instrumental is incredible and the video is very fun. I think the problem for me is that the chorus is very weak.
Video Phone is indeed her worst proper single. Thank that it's last of them.
I was really digging 'Video Phone' when I listened upon rating (I think I gave it a 7!) but it's not one I'd listen to out of choice and it's not one of her best.
video phone coming out around the same time as telephone also just makes video phone seem extra shit. gaga definitely only agreed to this cos it was beyonce
38. "Diva" | Average: 4.9
A diva is a female version of a hustler, in case you didn't know! I don't mind this Beyoncé song but it is a little bit of a non event. I do love the video however
37. "Ego" | Average: 5.0
Another track, that I am not huge on, but that is just my personal opinion.
36. "Get Me Bodied" | Average: 5.0
'Get Me Bodied' is a very fun song, but I do understand why it is so low. I guess it sounds rather dated and upon listening it hasn't aged with me very well.
35. "Say Yes" (with Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland) | Average: 5.1
A fun song next, with Michelle actually managing to be relevant and not come last! I still have no idea how Bey and Kelly agreed to be on this track but in all honesty it is such a bop and Bey is slaying those braided dreadlocks in the video
say yes vid inspiring formation. I C O N I C
that get me bodied position hurts my soul
it remains one of her best ever and i will hear nothing else
Say Yes is way too low, what a JAM
Video Phone, was just awful, thankfully Bey's other collaboration with Gaga was a million times better. "Diva" again another dire track, glad it got skipped over for release in the UK, (why wasn't "Radio" released instead).
I do actually like "Ego" and "Get Me Bodied", quite decent tunes, but very standard and listening to "Say Yes" again, and well I do kinda like it, kinda like a mini DC reunion, a really nice up lifting track.
no casualties so far - a buzzjack rate first!
Say Yes is horrendous Joseph! JUDGING YOU
Say Yes *.* Diva
No real losses yet - most of those out are just ok but nothing really that great!
When Joseph say yes, nobody can say no (especially Joe) x
Pleasantly surprised with the results so far, no huge casualties. No doubt when I check this thread next I'll discover that I spoke too soon!
Diva isn't as bad as people say and I think her cover of At Last is really nice, but real losses so far *.* I very much doubt that will carry on, I can see 7/11 being out soon.
Diva is really so bad, always upset me that it was even included on such an otherwise tremendous album.
Ego has always been one of my favourite Beyoncé songs. I wasn't expecting it to be high here but it just has such a good feel and the video is fab too.
34. "7/11" | Average: 5.1
WTF at this being so low.
33. "Work it Out" | Average: 5.1
What an absolute throwback this is! I still can't get over how Bey has hardly aged at all since the video's release.
32. "Me Myself and I" | Average: 5.2
This is not one of my favourite tracks, but I can see why it appeals to some. I find it a tad boring.
31. "Ring the Alarm" | Average: 5.6
I do enjoy this, but again not a favourite of mine personally
Work It Out far too low
7/11 far too high
7/11 is definitely too high. What a racket.
7/11 yaaaaaas. When will your Say Yes Videophone favs?
7/11 is an absolute bop and you will all deal.
To be honest, never liked "7/11", find it very irritating and just plain bad. Also never that keen on "Work It Out", found it a very unappealing first single and glad her follow ups were much better.
"Me Myself And I", is not bad, but wouldn't rank it as one of my faves and it probably stands as the most forgotten "Dangerously In Love" era single.
"Ring The Alarm", now I do actually quite like this one, and found it a shame that it never got a UK release, I thought that it was a good follow up to "Deja Vu", but yes they both kinda got overshadowed by "Irreplaceable", which is another song of Bey's I do like.
'Ring The Alarm' is the first casualty for me.
The Freemason Mix of 'Ring the Alarm' is a 10/10 for me; honestly my favourite jam right now!
Tbh, a lot of Beyonce's shit records have incredible remixes but, unfortunately, it is only fair to rate them as they appeared originally.
I'm actually impressed that "7/11" made it THIS high especially with the amount of vocal haters the track has!
A lot of the Sasha Fierce singles are just WAY TOO LOW.
work it out is jam, videophone too
Work It Out
Ew 7/11 too high
Good that Say Yes is quite low. Annoying lyrics and etc.
these averages are a joke
7/11 a 5.1/10.0 song
Ring The Alarm a 5.6/10.0 song
whatever buzzjack
7/11 is much better than a lot of songs still to come. :3
30. "Green Light" | Average: 6.0
I guess you guys never gave it to Momma the way Bey wanted as Green Light manages to scrape a top 30 placing.
29. "Hymn For The Weekend" (with Coldplay) | Average: 6.0
Beyoncé is not even listed as a featured artist on this single, but her vocals are used heavily in the chorus and other parts of the song so why no include it. My personal opinion is that she is the saving grace of a rather dull song. It is not too bad though.
28. "03 Bonnie & Clyde" (feat. Jay Z) | Average: 6.0
Not my favourite Bey-Z collaboration but it is still quite good.
27. "Why Don't You Love Me" | Average: 6.4
I always forget this this was actually a single but I do enjoy listening to it from time to time. Not her strongest however but the video is very fun!
I wish she'd do more "different" stuff like 'Why Don't You Love Me?' over the vast majority of totally generic R&B she has put her name to. It's so good. Love the video too!
Green Light is too low! Fabulous track.
Hymn for the Weekend is by far Coldplay's best song IMO, really really like it.
How on earth is Hymn... so low, especially considering its current slaying of the Multichart?
Guessing lots of the scores for Hymn came in before it had really taken off. One of Coldplay's best for sure.
I really like Hymn For The Weekend, definitely one of Coldplay's best, I just wish she was on it more. Why Don't Love Me is an absolute tune too
"Green Light" is actually quite good, the Freemasons remix really brings it to life.
As for the Coldplay collaboration, honestly not very keen on it, as they've never really appealed to me, just find them vastly overrated and quite dull, plus never really connected with their songs, apart from "Viva La Vida", which in my opinion is the best thing they've ever done. But apart from that, I can't think of any of their other songs, I actually like.
"03' Bonnie & Clyde", now this brings back memories, way back in 2003, where Beyoncé's solo career was just about to take off. I like this one from them and if I remember correctly wasn't there some controversy surrounding this, with Toni Braxton claiming that they stole the idea or sample (or something), from one of her album tracks "Me & My Girlfriend", and didn't she try taking Jay Z or the record label to court, or something, dunno can't really remember. But anyway I do like this tune and actually bought it's single CD.
"Why Don't You Love Me", I always assumed that this was just a download only release to be honest. A kinda pointless release in my opinion and way too high here, especially as it's above songs like "Ring The Alarm", "Ego", "Green Light" & "03 Bonnie & Clyde", all of which are better than this forgettable tripe.
Hymn For The Weekend is horrific, thank gosh it didn't go much higher than that
Why Don't You Love Me going is my only casualty yet, but even then it's quite right in it's placing.
Another great bunch love Hymn For The Weekend and Why Don't You Love Me
Hymn for the Weekend
I think her parts are a perfect addition to the song but I think the amount that she's in it works very well, I don't think she needs to be more prominent.
Run The World to win.
'Bonnie and Clyde' will probably always remain my favorite pre-Beyoncé Beyoncé track. Partly because I like only very few of her songs but also because I think 'Bonnie and Clyde' is heavenly. Especially B's middle 8 part and those ongoing guitar chords underneath the beat are great.
26. "Check on It" (feat. Slim Thug) | Average: 6.5
25. "Broken Hearted Girl" | Average: 6.7
CRYING!
How the heck is Broken Hearted Girl sneaking into the top 25
One of her best ever songs and a beautiful ballad
'Check On It' has finished about 10 places higher than I expected so I'll take that! Even though it deserves to be higher
"Check On It", isn't bad, but wouldn't rank it as one of her best or one of my faves, it's okay enough though, quite harmless fun.
"Broken Hearted Girl", lands about right here, in my opinion and deserved a better chart peak than #27 in the UK, should have at least went top 20 in my opinion.
24. "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" | Average: 6.8
23. "Naughty Girl" | Average: 6.8
22. "***Flawless Remix" (ft. Nicki Minaj) | Average: 6.9
21. "Run the World (Girls)" | Average: 7.0
Thank god Single Ladies is out so soon, it's aged terribly.
The Flawless remix is foul and Run the World isn't great, sad to see them above the underrated Naughty Girl.
"Single Ladies", Yes I do find it a tad overrated and while at the time, it was a good song and iconic, it just into overkill and was everywhere, then I just went completely off it, but now I have warmed to it more. Considering of how much of a classic it is, while it did top the American charts, but only managed #7 here in the UK, despite selling bucket loads.
"Naughty Girl", another likeable track, quite good, but not something I'd go back too, these days though. I remember listening to the album for the first time, when it came out way back in 2003, and remember thinking... This will definitely be a single. Back in those days I used to be good at picking singles from new album releases, but now I totally suck at it, ever since Leona Lewis's 'Echo' album (which I completely picked the wrong singles), I just don't have that knack for it anymore, apart from the odd one or two occasions.
"Flawless", never really connected with that one, so can't really give an opinion, maybe it's because Nicki Minaj features on it and I'm not a fan of hers at all.
"Run The World (Girls)", now this is the first real big loss for me here, at the time I admit, I wasn't that keen on it, due to it's underperformance on the charts, but now I love it and think it's very underrated and I'd personally rank it as one of her best.
Single Ladies is so overrated.
20. "Déjŕ Vu" (feat. Jay Z) | Average: 7.1
19. "Runnin' (Lose It All)" (ft. Naughty Boy and Arrow Benjamin) | Average: 7.2
18. "Pretty Hurts" | Average: 7.2
17. "Baby Boy" (feat. Sean Paul) | Average: 7.3
Baby Boy is a tune suddenly grew on it when I came across it the other day.
The rate is going really well
Runnin being so low Such an incredible track and Beyonce's vocals shine so so badly on it
I was hoping Runnin' would be a little higher. Still sounds so good!
Apart from 7/11, this is indeed going well. I'm glad the horrendous Runnin' is out earlier than expected, it is torment on the ears. All my favourites are still in: If I Were a Boy/Drunk In Love/ Sweet Dreams/ Formation/Countdown
XO out next please
Deja vu is such a jam, really glad it's higher than I expected
Baby Boy being higher than Pretty Hurts, Broken Hearted Girl, Run The World (Girls) and Flawless is shocking.
Fun story: my friend got dumped last week and so we all went to cheer her up and singles ladies came on and well let's just say ...she wasn't on the dancefloor.
I truly believe 'Single Ladies' to be the worst song in the world ever, it's just that horrible.
I think Single Ladies is truly great. A product of its time, no doubt, but as a brilliantly well-crafted pop song that is packed with memorable hooks from start to finish (lyrically and instrumentally), I think it's completely undeniable. It's always a major moment at her concerts too.
Kind of surprised it's even as high as 24th though, considering the hard time it receives on this forum (worst song ever??).
"Deja Vu", always liked that one, a really good and strong lead single for the "B-Day" era, and will always be a highlight in her discography for me.
"Runnin' (Lose It All)", again another one of hers I still haven't connected with, find it kinda boring, but maybe in time it might grow on me.
"Pretty Hurts", a lovely number that should have been a chart smash and more credit, so touching and moving. I really like this one.
"Baby Boy", really loved this at the time, and back when Sean Paul was hot property, this was a fantastic follow up to the immense "Crazy In Love", A huge chart smash in the USA, 9 weeks at #1, and a decent peak of #2 here in the UK, but with poor sales and pretty quick drop out of the charts, this deserved so much more here in the UK, and especially at the time, I remember it being everywhere on radio and music channels. I know the sales climate was bad back then, but come on, even with this digital age, the sales should have improved on this over the years. I guess it's been kinda forgotten about now, considering some of the chart smashes that followed this through the years.
Run The World higher than Single Ladies!!! I never would have predicted that, glad to see Run The World as high as it is. I agree with Jay about Single Ladies.
16. "Listen" | Average: 7.5
15. "Formation" | Average: 7.7
14. "Irreplaceable" | Average: 7.7
13. "Partition" | Average: 7.7
Formation should be top 10, already. It's that good.
Irreplaceable should be top 10
The thing that irks me about 'Formation' is the way it uses (overuses) the word "slay" throughout, I know it's just a modern day online hipster thing but it makes me cringe so much. At least it's better than the likes of 'Single Ladies', 'Run The World' and '7/11' though.
"Listen", yes such a beautiful song and a brilliant moment in the Dreamgirls movie, but has been overplayed to death now and was everywhere at one point. I was glad however when it got a second chance on the UK charts, re-entering at #8 and beating it's previous #16 peak, well deserved.
"Formation", Dunno why, this just doesn't gel with me, maybe it will grow on me, but at the moment it doesn't.
"Irreplaceable", This deserves top 10 at least, way too low, definitely one of her best. Again however this got played to death upon release and kinda saved the B-Day era, after the slight underperformance of the lead single on the US charts, and the follow up missing the top 10. But they weren't bad peaks #4 & #12, still pretty good in my opinion and this song is well... awesome, still love it.
"Partition", Another great track, that didn't get the success it deserved, however I don't think many people knew it was an actual single release. But good song though.
All of them good shame they missed out
'Formation' is in about the right place tbh. 'Listen' & 'Irreplaceable' however, are NOT!
Great to see 'XO' still in. One of my firm favourites from her!
Why are Listen and Irreplaceable anywhere but top 3 and top 5??
Irreplaceable is a Beyonce classic and is always a fantastic listen and Listen is one of Beyonce's best easily, the song is utterly beautiful, is from a fantastic movie and she gives some of her best vocals ever on the track
Irreplaceable shockingly low (position wise & its average )
Irreplaceable saved her second album and should be top 3
'irreplaceable' is shit compared to most of her singles. never got why some people love it so much.
These results are all over the bloody place. Why Don't You Love Me so low? Formation so high? (I love it but REALLY.)
Irreplaceable was amazing at the time, but I've gotten a bit over it.
Flawless remix and Baby Boy deserved way higher, top3 for me easily. Check On It deserved better too.
Glad "Single Ladies" and "Listen" are out of the way. Partition is so overrated.
12. "End of Time" | Average: 7.7
11. "Countdown" | Average: 7.8
'End Of Time' is her BEST song ever by a long distance.
10. "Best Thing I Never Had" | Average: 7.8
09. "Love on Top" | Average: 7.8
Love On Top is horrendously bland and so average, it gives me absolutely nothing. FARRRRRRRR too high for sure, I really don't see how on earth people rate it so highly... Absolute joke that her two best (Listen and Irreplaceable) are below it
I don't mind the last four songs posted. Love On Top is rather catchy but BTINH is kind of dull. Countdown and End of Time are quite good though.
08. "XO" | Average: 7.9
07. "If I Were A Boy" | Average: 8.0
Now XO, that's more like it Such a joyous track.
'XO' is her second best for me, so joyful and euphoric. I wish she'd do more stuff like it, different for her.
'Love On Top' grew on me after hearing it on nights out, it's a total earworm and the 7 key changes are just ridiculous. It's singalong joy.
If I Were A Boy being 6 places too low (at least it's top 10, her best song, she sounds incredible on it and it is such a beautiful ballad )
The last four are all incredible !!!!
Love them all and all from the same album
One of her dullest ballads followed by one of her most moving.
Love the top 10 thus far
Interesting to see four songs from 4 finishing back-to-back-to-back-to-back! Glad they're all so high although I never cared for 'Best Thing I Never Had', the other three are incredible!
'XO' is dull (agreeing with Joe I think?), way too high here.
'End Of Time', Yay glad it's getting the love it deserves and should have been made a proper single, one of her lost classics. 'Countdown', Yay too high, don't see the fuss with this one, kinda bland if u ask me.
'Best Thing I Never Had', great song, definitely one of her best. 'Love On Top' another great tune, that really grew on me through time. 'XO', doesn't really do it for me, and should swap places with 'Irreplaceable' here, it's nice enough and everything, just lacks that special something.
'If I Were A Boy'', a well deserved placing on here, a really nice ballad and another definite highlight in her discography.
'XO' has become the firm favourite for me. Such a beautiful song. Really gutted at how poorly it did! Even with a BRITS performance.
'If I Were A Boy' is one of my faves too. Top 5 for sure! I always thought it was under appreciated on here, but I'm glad to see that's not the case!
XO is such a great song! One of those euphoric songs which lighten your mood anytime.
Really not here for 'XO' being described as dull. Joyful & euphoric, on the other hand - absolutely! It's one of her most lyrically beautiful songs too.
Countdown really deserved the top10 over that boring ballad at #10. Especially since both averaged a 7.8. Shame.
XO is really good, but a bit too high here.
It kind of felt like at the time 'Drunk In Love' stole 'XO's thunder and it got left by the wayside, which did annoy me a bit.
XO is dull !!!
06. "Beautiful Liar (with Shakira)" | Average: 8.2
Awful, horrible song! Freemasons remix is a big improvement though.
I find "XO" to be overrated. "Beautiful Liar" is LEGENDARY.
05. "Crazy in Love" (feat. Jay Z) | Average: 8.8
04. "Drunk In Love" (feat. Jay Z) | Average: 8.9
oh thats shocking results
whats top 3 then Halo and?
Yesss Buzzjack, Drunk In Love > Crazy In Love indeed.
SUCH a jam. Yessss, at Sweet Dreams still being in!
Drunk In Love is a tad overrated no way should it be higher than CIL!
03. "Telephone" (with Lady Gaga) | Average: 9.0
so it is Sweet Dreams VS Halo. Predictions?
'Drunk In Love' and 'Telephone' are way too high, 'Crazy In Love' I despised for years but I can appreciate it a lot more now.
Good top 2, don't really mind which wins. I think 'Halo' will get it though.
Halo will probably win but I'd MUCH prefer Sweet Dreams.
02. "Halo" | Average: 9.1
01. "Sweet Dreams" | Average: 9.4
Omg perfect top 3
Saying that, was not expecting Sweet Dreams to win!
Omg that winner! *__*
Beyonce's best song winning the rate! Silly hen doesn't even perform it on tour anymore.
There's a reason why she never performs it. It's dreadfully overrated and incredibly "of it's time". Blehhh. 'Halo' shoulda won out of that top 5 with 'Drunk In Love' 2nd.
Thanks for doing this. Really reminded me how much I think she's overrated
Great top 5, shocking result for 'Sweet Dreams' though, never thought that would win, it's a great song though and just fantastic. 'Halo' another incredible production, 'Crazy In Love' should have been at least top 3. While I do like 'Drunk In Love', I honestly think it's a bit too high here, should be around #6 or #7. But anyway great results, thanks for hosting this and come and check out my Britney Spears Singles results, if you have time.
Somewhat surprised and pleased at that winner, but do I really have to add "Crazy In Love" to the list of Beyoncé songs that are underrated? Y'all are shameful
Well I think it's fair to say these results have been ALL OVER THE BLOODY PLACE.
that's actually decent winner. much better than Halo and Telephone
nice unexpected winner! thought CIL would take this
Hmm like the top 5 although for me it goes CIL > SD > Halo > DIL > Telephone
But good results none the less
'Countdown' (song + video) is one of her finest moments yet tends to be overlooked in general so it's great to see it finish as high as #11, frustrating as that position may be. Would've much preferred 'End Of Time' to also sneak into the top 10 over its inferior fellow '4' singles.
Quite a surprising #1 but then it does seem that Beyoncé lacks the one or two universally loved tracks/obvious favourites (on here at least) that other artists have, so it makes sense that a song with solid appeal like 'Sweet Dreams' could dark horse it all the way. Definitely a song that only got better with time so I'm not complaining, especially with it beating 'Halo', which always felt to me like all style and no substance.
Great winner! Glad it wasn't the super overrated Crazy In Love.
Telephone is way too high
Terrible top 3
Pretty indifferent to sweet dreams so meh
