Will one of the biggest selling and streamed tracks of recent times, of which is Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk return to #1, after its 7 weeks at the top?
Chart Run: 20/12/2014: {1}-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-2->9 After its early release due to an X Factor cover, it was decided to be released several weeks earlier than planned, which gave it 7 non-consecutive weeks at #1, which would've been 8, and consecutive weeks at the top if not for another X Factor related factor being Ben Haenow's Something I Need winning performance, a cover of OneRepublic's track. Last week, Ellie Goulding topped it off the top and this week it's looking like it'll settle for #2, unless the likes of Hozier is to knock it off. So the question is: Does Uptown Funk stand any chance of returning to #1? |

No chance. It already returned to #1 once and has spent 7 weeks there, plus it's dropped behind Hozier now and Ellie is still big

Nah, it's had its time now. Unless Bruno comes to the UK and does a massive performance.

Yes, 7 weeks ago!
Otherwise most likely not. |

I don't mean to come across rude, but do we really need specific threads to talk about whether a song will move up or down the chart? It's bad enough we have threads about when almost every song will leave the chart. What next? Will Uptown Funk ever be a non mover again?

It has overtaken Hozier on iTunes again - whether that is because of an increase in sales rate of Uptown Funk or a decrease in sales rate of Take Me To Church, I dont know. If it the former and it somehow trails off slower than Love Me Like You Do then it may well go back to number 1 after perhaps some high profile exposure.

Its popularity is declining a bit now so unlikely to return to number one but its likely to hang around in the top10 for a while.

There’s absolutely nothing to suggest that ‘Uptown Funk’ will reach No1 again tbh~
