BuzzJack Music Forum _ Television _ Big Brother UK • Series 18

Posted by: Klaus 11th May 2017, 09:48 AM

Tagline is 'Welcome to the United Kingdom of Big Brother... and everybody is welcome'. Remember that the auditions were exclusively for pairs too! There has also been another expansion of the house this time as the garden wall of the main house was knocked down.

Should be starting in about a month's time! Which double Z listers will be appearing in this series?

Posted by: Klaus 11th May 2017, 09:50 AM

I get they're being topical, with politics (especially surrounding the nature of the UK) never being more prevalent BUT the eye is horrible lmao. I hate all the random images it has.

Posted by: Klaus 11th May 2017, 10:43 AM

The main thing I want from this series (in terms of being realistic) is actual GOOD and inventive tasks. The last few series of both CBB and BBUK have really failed in that aspect and last series of the civillian version was particularly bad for tasks. Having truth tasks EVERY SINGLE DAY has zero effect, as was clear by the end of the series where they just didn't give a f*** anymore. There's only so many truths they can tell! More stuff like the Bubble task from last summer's CBB please.

I would ask for consistent nominations but that ain't happening. Its just ridiculous how one week its every one with 3 noms, the next everyone with 1 nom and the next everyone with 2 noms?! How are people supposed to play the game (which producers seem to want them to do now) when there's zero clarity.

Posted by: Aaron. 11th May 2017, 12:57 PM

First off.. that eye is horrible. What the hell.
I also forgot this was 'Pairs', which sounds like a horrible twist. I did read an article that Nikki would do the show with Brian Dowling. Lol Nikki, I don't see that happening.

Agreed on the Twists and the Nomination Manipulation. More and More Big Brother has tried to interfere and it's not working, evident in the fact that they basically just gave up last year and cut the season short. Everything goes back to Casting and the Casting has been terrible over the last few years. The last real good housemate was probably Gina.

Posted by: cqmerqn 11th May 2017, 03:43 PM

IM SO HYPED.

But that eye...

Posted by: Liаm 11th May 2017, 03:52 PM

Fitting eye for the UKIP voter who'll probs win x

Seriously though wtf it is SO ugly laugh.gif Who approved and designed that?! It'll be good to have it back but I don't hold out much hope, as has been said they just f*** around with the basics too much. It's not exciting or interesting at all when they have twists every week, never have proper nominations and they have all these stupid tasks like who bitched about who and of course the dreaded public opinion tasks.

Posted by: JosephStyles🐶 11th May 2017, 04:09 PM

Agreed on the tasks being awful last year, but them aside, I LOVED last year's civilian series, so many watchable characters and most of the good ones actually made it far into the game (notably Jayne, Laura and Evelyn).

Posted by: HausofSZA 11th May 2017, 04:36 PM

CANNOT WAIT

Eye is bad + not really here for pairs but I know i'll be hooked as ALWAYS.

Normal noms please and no MEGA CRAZY OMG twists!!1

Posted by: HausofSZA 11th May 2017, 04:37 PM

I would say, can they sort out BOTS too cus that used to be essential viewing but it's just crap now sad.gif

Posted by: Klaus 11th May 2017, 06:41 PM

Oh yeh BOTS has just turned awful nowadays. I miss the actual backstage aspect that it once gave but the main show overall is jyst keeping more and more secrets. Now it just basically one hour of Twitter as all it contains is people shouting over each other along with some random loony who examines peoples coughs or something.

Posted by: Jack 11th May 2017, 09:33 PM

I much prefer the Celebrity series now which they do usually get right! I'll watch but I never really enjoy the civilian C5 series too much. The last one I properly enjoyed was Gina's series.

Posted by: Harve 11th May 2017, 10:48 PM

I actually really love the colour scheme of the eye. I'd love a version with the images removed.

I so agree with this, I would love the eye if it didn't have the random images scattered on it as the colour scheme is eye catching wub.gif

I loved a lot of the housemates last series but they need to make it more of a basic concept for it to be popular again laugh.gif esp the tasks. I dont care about who has said what and creating drama.

Posted by: Liаm 16th May 2017, 02:58 AM

It's over now but did anyone see that Mind The Age Gap show on Channel 5 last week? I am almost certain one of them will end up on BB laugh.gif There's a couple of older ones who are a bit UKIP I could imagine C5 loving for the controversy, they don't get many older HMs after all.

(basically the premise was old and young people living in a house together and they were pushed a bit to discuss stuff like politics, homosexualty, religion, with a view to educating both sides of the varying views each age group has)

Posted by: Jack 16th May 2017, 12:42 PM

I watched the first episode but it was so god awful I couldn't watch anymore. The young people were so weak and the old people were absolutely disgusting.

Posted by: Liаm 19th May 2017, 02:51 PM

4th June launch, which is a Sunday! They apparently want to capitalise on the general election and it's been described as a "culture clash of modern Britain" so I can see them putting like a really bad UKIP grandad in and then like a gay Polish Muslim on benefits who believes in communism laugh.gif

I saw the first one last night. Even allowing for the fact that he retired (or was sacked) almost 20 years ago, the thought of one of them having been a police officer was frightening. His attitudes were firmly stuck in the 1950s. The fact that he is barely ten years older than I am made it even worse.

Posted by: Mack 19th May 2017, 09:56 PM

Bring back a similar show to BBLB with previews of tasks and with news. And not a housemate sitting on a bucking bronco answering stupid questions.

Posted by: Liаm 19th May 2017, 10:28 PM

Yes definitely! BBLB was always a much better format, even when BOTS was Big Mouth back on Channel 4 it never tended to be as good. But now it's unwatchable :/

That COULD be interesting or it could go the other way and be horrible viewing. It would be a good idea to set itself apart from all the other endless reality shows that are out there now, particularly Love Island which is basically the show that Big Brother was slowly wanting to be at times and will be a big competition for it again this year.

I wonder how that will link in to the duos twist though, unless they've abandoned that because they've latched on to this new idea?

Posted by: Liаm 19th May 2017, 10:46 PM

I feel like they might pair up someone with UKIP views with a foreign housemate, or say a life-long Tory and a die-hard Corbynite, and force them to work together for safety, rewards etc., if they're still gonna go with the pairs idea. But I think if that was still a thing they'd have teased something by now?

Posted by: Mack 19th May 2017, 10:53 PM

Would be it strangers being pairs or people who auditioned as pairs originally who would go into the house. I don't really want an housemate who is only going in there to have sex.

Posted by: Klaus 20th May 2017, 11:41 AM

Yep, so we have a really posh person as well as person from a deeply religious family who married someone outside of that religion (or vice versa).

I do think it could be an interesting move but I'm being hesitant because I know I'll end up regretting saying that! laugh.gif

Posted by: Khappa MJ 21st May 2017, 08:35 AM

but do they do again yet?

Posted by: Liаm 22nd May 2017, 09:07 AM

Rylan has said it's back to the roots a bit, more of a social experiment, they always say stuff before the series that means nothing but this would be fab if true and it'd fit with the theme. I can see them proper following that Mind The Age Gap show, that was a social experiement really but they did push the differing views a bit and I can see them doing that a lot for drama in this series, which could be good in some cases but will likely get a bit old if they keep pushing it.

Posted by: cqmerqn 23rd May 2017, 06:10 PM

5 June 2017

Posted by: Mack 23rd May 2017, 07:08 PM

It will most likely be that Mind The Age Gap elements there.

Posted by: Liаm 26th May 2017, 07:02 PM

Officially confirmed for a Monday 5th June start, clashing with Love Island!

Posted by: Liаm 30th May 2017, 12:31 AM

Oops didn't see Cqm's post before mine laugh.gif

Anyway, rumours abound on Twitter that the housemates will enter naked... Can't see it happening, imagine a Naked Attraction/Mind The AGe Gap crossover drama.gif

I definitely reckon it will be like Mind The Age Gap, I've noticed they are really playing on the fact the general election is happening during this when they tease on Twitter etc., but I wonder if they will actually stick to the theme/concept like Timebomb did mostly (although that was a bit of a shite one, it was just "a twist could happen at any time" which happens anyway nowadays) or will it fizzle out like the "others" thing last year? There's only so much "I voted UKIP and you're a Polish immigrant f*** you" they can spin surely, I feel like the "theme" might just be them making sure htey cast people who are likely to clash because of their views and then there'll be loads of tasks that spark debate, or something like two clashing personalities get to watch a debate or even the election results and we watch that. Conversely, it could mean that there isn't as much interfering as people will argue naturally but that's probably asking for a bit much kink.gif

Posted by: Klaus 30th May 2017, 06:15 PM

Rumours that the Launch Night twist is that housemates have to be VOTED IN to the BB house to be housemaes, general election style.

Not sure about that as the likes of Alex Cannon etc will easily be voted in whilst we could easily lose the likes of Jayne, unless there's a further twist?.

Posted by: Liаm 30th May 2017, 06:18 PM

Yeah I'm not sure about that given what happened when we voted for something instantly on Power Trip kink.gif

Posted by: Klaus 30th May 2017, 06:24 PM

omg I forgot about that!! Yes, definitely hope it isn't true then laugh.gif

Posted by: Mack 30th May 2017, 09:49 PM

Do we really need a 'naked' house when they enter? Leaves probably e.g. BB6 UK, Orliath, Eugene and Kinga's entrance.

Posted by: Liаm 30th May 2017, 10:01 PM

They keep going on about it being "revealing", idk if that refers to the naked thing or if the rumour came from that but I can so see them framing it as us having to judge without the pretence of designer clothes but I feel like without much else to judge on it'll just be who's the hottest and maybe one larger lady who seems really confident for a "mix" laugh.gif

Posted by: Klaus 30th May 2017, 11:52 PM

I think the naked thing is just some fans running away with the whole 'revealing' thing. There's no way it will happen, especially when it is going out at 8:30pm!!

Posted by: Klaus 31st May 2017, 06:01 PM

omg they've knocked it out of the park AGAIN with the house design. The theme is an English village and there is so much detail, it looks beautiful! The kitchen/dining room is in a seperate room to the lounge area too for the first time in ages <3 Only thing is that the shower has no modesty panels and basically in full view of the garden!

Definitely something that they actually do really well in!

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2017, 10:06 PM

I keep waiting for them to reveal the housemates early laugh.gif I think they might this time like they did with Timebomb, if we're going to vote it will be helpful to have something beforehand.

Posted by: jase. 31st May 2017, 11:29 PM

LOVING the new house!

Apparently C5 have revised the number of episodes from 40 to 52. It's something but I feel it's still around a week too short.

Posted by: Ptime 1st June 2017, 08:06 PM

can not wait - twist or no twist and the time BB is on - never long enough.

Posted by: Liаm 2nd June 2017, 02:19 PM

6 housemates have been revealed on the BBUK FB page!

We have pairs, there are Hannah & Deborah, Imran & Sukhvinder, Kayleigh Morris from Ex On The Beach and Lotan (who appears to be in the Dreamboys). As they said 6 housemates I assume they're separate still but just know each other, like Jackie and Charlie. No info about them yet they just put the pics up and names for now, I hope before the launch night they properly reveal them or it'll just be the Ex On he Beach bint because people know her and the Dreamboys guy because he's "fit". Unless that's not true lmao they haven't said anything, unless they've definitely picked these ones and they're the ones they really want and don't want to pass up on whereas others we can vote on? idk.

Posted by: Klaus 2nd June 2017, 04:32 PM

So being on Ex on the Beach now means you can be on either the civillian or the celebrity edition of Big Brother?? I was thinking the other day whether someone from Love Island could appear on CBB (although I guess they're banned because they're the main competition) and then I thought it would basically be like putting someone from BB on CBB and it basically means the distinction is completelt erased. Not much different from some of the other 'celebrities' they've had on though.

Anyway, I don't like it when they reveal the housemates beforehand, it ruins the launch night for me. At least they've said they're not revealing any more BUT at the same time, why just reveal six of them?? If this launch night twist is true, they have an advantage, which may be why they've done it?? It seems they may also have done it because Love Island revealed all their contestants. Not much to go on but they all could be interesting as long as they don't fit into their stereotypes (meat head who is dull, reality girl who is shameless and nasty, older married couple who drain the fun)

Sorry, this post just reflects that my thoughts are all over the place! laugh.gif

Posted by: HausofSZA 2nd June 2017, 04:37 PM

I assume they'll all be revealed before the show starts so we can get to know them in advance before having to vote.

I also hope it's not just HERE ARE LOADS OF HOUSEMATES CHOOSE WHO YOU WANT and more pairs where we choose one of them to go through over the other (which is less risky because the producers can almost plan it so the best get through tongue.gif)

Posted by: Klaus 2nd June 2017, 05:20 PM

No it has been confirmed by Channel 5 that no more housemates will be revealed!

(although we all know they like to go back on their word...)

Posted by: Liаm 2nd June 2017, 05:21 PM

I think maybe they've already picked say half of them (ie these ones) and we get to choose others, I don't think they'd allow us to choose them ALL because they've probably got Kayleigh on a payroll (and to promote Ex On The Beach) for example, and I'm sure they've got some housemates they think will make great TV (but probably won't) and don't want to let go with a twist. We'll see laugh.gif Or it could be like the others thing where they have people next door and we vote them in after launch night or something?

Posted by: HausofSZA 2nd June 2017, 05:22 PM

Oh that's probably the best case scenario tbh. They have ones they want in there and then we choose from a few others to fill the final spots!

One of TOWIE's producers has joined BB for this years summer series. Christ. laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 3rd June 2017, 02:21 PM

There are more rumours flying around of housemates, I really hate that there are rumours for civillian BB :/

Chanelle McCleary is one, she was on one episode of Ex On The Beach before getting kicked off for starting fights :') Another is "fashionista" JSky who is a fashion blogger and was best friends with Steph Davis but they fell out. Such a pedigree of personalities x

Posted by: jase. 3rd June 2017, 07:37 PM

It may as well be called Big Brother: The Z List at this point. Absolutely f***ing ridiculous manson.gif

Posted by: DNQrella 4th June 2017, 12:23 PM

Why can't they just get NORMAL people who didn't sleep with anyone famous or had an appearance on some trashy reality tv show?! It's so much more fun like that. Once in a while there will be some Ø-list 'celebrity' (that's lower than Z too x) but when all of them are it's f***ing exhausting and just stupid. They are usually the same type of people playing the same game which is to get as many yellow pages filled out with their pointless life stories and first world problems no one cares about.

Posted by: cqmerqn 4th June 2017, 12:50 PM

Last years cast was great, a nice balance!!

Still so hyped for this. The Reality TV forum is my home for the next couple of months laugh.gif

Posted by: HausofSZA 4th June 2017, 01:02 PM

^ agreed!

I really don't have a major issue with whether the housemates have been on other reality shows before unsure.gif I haven't seen them on the shows so it's still like a brand new set of housemates for me and if they are known to bring the drama then I am all for it! The show's format changed with its move to Channel 5 - I think many of us (me included) long for the days of mid-Channel 4 days glory but it's not that show now and much more prescribed and celebrity driven, we kind of need to accept that and just enjoy it for the drama it still brings.

I am so excited, it's my favourite show and will be pretty much all I think about TV wise for the next few months <3

Posted by: Klaus 4th June 2017, 01:22 PM

People always wish that it would return to the mid-Channel 4 times but, when it gets the closest to that (pre 4 In 4 Out Timebomb), it just gets called boring. Sadly, reality TV has changed and reverting back to those days just doesn't work for the audience anymore. I wish it would because, for example, I REALLY loved those two weeks of Timebomb, but that isn't to say the new approach on Channel 5 hasn't worked. There have been a large number of misfires but there still has been a lot of fun to gain from it overall!

Posted by: Liаm 4th June 2017, 01:46 PM

I normally don't mind as long the housemates are good (Lateysha for example ended up being one of my absolute favourite housemates of all time), but it's just pet hate is when they cast someone, in BB or CBB, and cite that they know X person and will divulge everything in the house, because they invariably won't laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 02:23 AM

Another rumour I am acc hoping is true is Lorna Bliss!!!!!!!!! LMAO IMAGINE

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 10:50 AM

omg the Diary Room chair is tragic, such a shame when the rest of the house looks brilliant.

More refined rumour of launch night twist: Public get to vote in ONE housemate who will hold great access in the house, even having access to the outside world :/ :/ :/ :/

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 01:05 PM

That's confirmed by C5!

I think it's better that way, but I'd prefer they were just a normal housemate. I wouldn't trust the public to vote for the whole cast, tbf as much as they meddle with the classic format which is bloody annoying, they do tend to get casting right at least with 4-5 great housemates each time. I feel like if it was us, we'd end up with all the men being hot and boring and the women would have no chance if they're attractive and vaguely confident laugh.gif Last time we gave someone this power after launch night it went terribly wrong but hopefully this one doesn't give a vile bully a pass to the final and if it goes to their head as much as Pauline then they can dig their own grave! I don't like the outside world thing, I assume that they'll get to find out the election result and be able to share it with people if they want or sth for a task.

EDIT: actually I could be here for it if it's like America's player from BBUS, where they get told what secret missions to do, who to vote for eviction (so in this case we'd pick their nominations, stuff like that, I suppose that would be outside contact as you're getting instructions from viewers but I doubt it will be, knowing C5 they'll be tweeting and shit laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 06:31 PM

I've just seen on Twitter that press photos have leaked? So, I'm staying off in case laugh.gif I don't mind the stuff I've seen already accidentally or what's been confirmed but I don't want to see the whole line-up until the launch tbh.

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 06:36 PM

Yeh, people seem to know the line up. I'm going to avoid it too but apparently there's lots of reality TV people again

Posted by: HausofSZA 5th June 2017, 07:10 PM

Avoiding those spoilers!

Just here to say the chair is VILE laugh.gif Almost laughably so. It fits with the theme, but gosh it's bad..

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 07:38 PM

Actually this does sound like an interesting twist!

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 07:39 PM

I bet it'll be Tom because he's the best looking male lmao

Posted by: cqmerqn 5th June 2017, 07:43 PM

Arthur.. ew god no.

Oh Ellie was off the Ibiza Weekender or Magaluf whichever it is.

She seems fun though.

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 07:46 PM

She was one of my favourite newer additions to Ibiza Weekender, I think she'll do really well!

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 07:47 PM

Omg I already love her, she's giving me a Lateysha and Chloe cross on speed rotf.gif

wub.gif

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 07:52 PM

Yeah, I haven't really posted in here much so far, but I am loving the interior design. The chair is disappointing but I do get what they were going for in a kind of abandoned manner, even if that's not what we usually look to the diary room chair for.

Posted by: Connor. 5th June 2017, 07:53 PM

Ellie was great on Ibiza Weekender. Reckon she could last a while. wub.gif

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 07:58 PM

What a prick :/

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 08:01 PM

eww he seems horribly vain and cocky manson.gif

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 08:02 PM

c**t.

I'm not sure I like any of the people's housemate candidates oops.

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 08:04 PM

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 08:04 PM

Omg I'm stanning Sukhvinder, I got queen vibes from her and i was right

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 08:07 PM

What a polar opposite to Lotan, these two come across as incredibly likeable immediately. Strong opening interview to get people on their sides aswell <3.

Posted by: HausofSZA 5th June 2017, 08:08 PM

Imran and Sukhvinder already. That's how you do an entrance interview! heart.gif

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 08:10 PM

Omg I'm living for these two as well, as long as Mandy doesn't end up being a Carole esque mother villain!

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 08:20 PM

*looks at Buzzjack* Here are your faves xx

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 08:22 PM

Yeah, surprised I'm actually liking all of the couples so far!

This guy seems... interesting. Initially, looks like someone I'd hate but the more he spoke, I thought there are sides to him that have potential to step up to it.

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 08:30 PM

Ugh that f***ing crowd, I hope "geezer" isn't the new Showbiz drama.gif

I think I'd pick Andrew for the people's HM, Simone is like a poundland Ellie so far and Sue is giving me definite Pauline vibes.

Posted by: HausofSZA 5th June 2017, 08:34 PM

Liam !! He has nothing on KING SHOWBIZ *.*

QUOTE(Liаm @ Jun 5 2017, 09:26 PM) *
The couples are all spot on!! Love these already, cliched I know laugh.gif

Yeah definitely! I'm doing a ranking as we go along, and so far my top 6 are all part of a couple laugh.gif

Joe seems pretty terrifying, but could be in the centre of explosive arguments I think so i'm glad he's in for that reason.

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 08:35 PM

Yeah not to stereotype but he seems like he'd take no shit and argue with everyone laugh.gif

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 08:39 PM

KIERAN HELLO

Please have more to offer than fancying yourself.

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 08:39 PM

She seems very likeable too, actually.

Posted by: Mack 5th June 2017, 08:40 PM

Watching on +1, is it worth watching on?

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 08:40 PM

Oh this two seem very fun on first impression! I feel they have potential to go either way though.

Posted by: cqmerqn 5th June 2017, 08:41 PM

Sue pls

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 08:41 PM

HELLO KIERAN, seems more likeable than Lotan and he's actually good looking but we'll see.

Rebecca seems nice too, another solid pair I'd say.

Posted by: cqmerqn 5th June 2017, 08:42 PM

HMM... idk about these.

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 08:45 PM

So, she's pretty much just admitted she's going in there for a romance. BORING. Bye.

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 08:46 PM

Christ she's a psycho. I guess that is the qualification needed to go on Ex on the Beach though.

Posted by: HausofSZA 5th June 2017, 08:46 PM

NEXT. "Madly in love"... for now we shall see if that changes..

Also aside, it's 5 years since Deana entered the house. I've never supported a housemate more than I did her <3

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 08:47 PM

omg her boyfriend was on Coach Trip, who liked my Tweet in the Teams task 😂😂

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 08:52 PM

"Madly in love" so she's this series' Steph Davis then xx

I heard one of them say something about a reunion with Kayleigh?! Also I want Sue again bc she's gonna "stir cook and serve" *.*

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 08:52 PM

STIR COOK AND SERVE

Posted by: HausofSZA 5th June 2017, 08:54 PM

So far I am rooting for Andrew cus that Sue speech was a bit weak and no way is she gonna get close to the most votes. He's way too exciteable and kind of annoying but he seems like he'll be quite manipulative and clever with the game as he seems a huge fan of the show/desperate to be on. Sue getting it would be fab too *.*

Not holding out much hope for the "omg so fit" guy to come (who will probably get the most votes dry.gif)

I assume any that don't make it tonight will be added as late additions to the show anyway in a few weeks :')

STIR COOK AND SERVE

ALREADY ICONIC

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 08:55 PM

Yeah I feel like they're on standby if anyone walks, is kicked out or they decide to do a 4 in 4 out thing again if the series doesn't take off as they want it to laugh.gif Apparently Sue's daughter who was on Meet The Parents with her was supposed to enter with her so that could be one. Either that or I feel like they've got other people's pair partners left on standby.

Posted by: HausofSZA 5th June 2017, 08:57 PM

OMG RAPH WHAT AN ABSOLUTE QT NOT EVEN LISTENING TO WHAT HE'S SAYING how cute <3

ahh his political views oops

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 08:58 PM

The rest of what he said made him sound like a pretty reasonable human aside from the Trump thing. I think he'll surprise the booing audience right now and do very well.

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 09:00 PM

"He's only cried once in the last three years... over a video game" omg why is he me in every way apart from Trump ffs I can't look past that

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 09:00 PM

If he was such a gameplayer, he wouldn't admit he was a gameplayer to the audience!! laugh.gif

Despite his previous voting, it is nice to see not only a big fan of the show, but a fan of international versions too!

Oh actually she seems way better than Kayleigh laugh.gif

flush this tragic mess

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 09:06 PM

Not sure why we need THREE from the same show, but she's my favourite yet.

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 09:07 PM

She seems better than the others but didn't she get kicked off Ex On The Beach for fighting laugh.gif

Where is the option to Re Open Nominations for the People's Housemate?

Posted by: HausofSZA 5th June 2017, 09:11 PM

1. Andrew
2. Sue
3. Simone
4. Tom

thinking.gif Will be very happy with any of the top 2 though - Sue is a RISK but thinking longterm, i'm favouring Andrew~

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 09:12 PM

My rank is the same as Bal's, I see Andrew as a potential long-term hope.

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 09:12 PM

I think I'd almost pick Sue but I'm wary of srong older black women after Pauline and to a lesser extent Natalie :') Especially with the power element to it, being "above" the others with special privileges and info that the others don't have. Simone seems like we've got her niche covered by various other housemates, she has bits of a few of them. Andew I'd say as well, the most unique and seems to have the most potential, but I'm almost certain it'll be Tom based on looks lmao

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 09:12 PM

Sue is very much a risk, all I keep thinking of is Pauline and I CAN'T have that back in the house.

Posted by: cqmerqn 5th June 2017, 09:15 PM

Sue gives me Natalie vibes

Posted by: Mr. C. Joel 5th June 2017, 09:15 PM

This is so shit! Whats with them all being on TV before?

It's so dull.

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 09:18 PM

Wtf why are they telling them....

I don't get the point of this twist if they know laugh.gif

Posted by: HausofSZA 5th June 2017, 09:18 PM

Oooh i'm glad they're informing the hms of what is happening! No more "omg we have an amazing twist...." which the housemates predict within minutes :')))

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 09:22 PM

It does look like a promising cast, mainly down to all the pairs. It's good that many don't actually have previous TV appearances (unless something creeps out of the woodwork), I'm just disappointed mainly that we have THREE Ex on the Beach people. Particularly when Kayleigh has appeared on more series than CBB winner Stephen Bear. laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 09:23 PM

Omg a girl I went to school with vaguely knows Raph from uni laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 09:31 PM

"No I was in Marbella and got a facebook message"

rolleyes.gif

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 09:37 PM

Oh the Facebook live thing is absolutely ridiculous, completely destroys the concept of the show. sad.gif

Posted by: Ryan. 5th June 2017, 09:39 PM

The Facebook Live thing is actually the first opening night twist BB have done in years where I've thought, actually that's quite a clever idea! The no outside influence thing ended years ago, and this seems like a very on trend thing to try out.

Posted by: HausofSZA 5th June 2017, 09:49 PM

Andrew said it spot on, on BOTS: "It's not a dating competition, it's a personality competition".

the public never learn supporting and rooting for the "fit guy" when they offer nothing but misogynistic comments and showmances that no one cares about. Still i'll give him a chance I guess, it's just some of the others had so much more personality.

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 10:05 PM

I knew this would happen so I'm glad it's only one housemate we had the power to vote in, with very limited info we all have our superficial ways of preference judgement I suppose laugh.gif Like for Sue I was like "yaass sassy black woman", I think it should have been these four who were revealed before tonight and they have VTs on the BB website! I'm glad it's not *too* big of a twist but I'm slightly worried about the contact with outside, extra info etc getting out of hand. I think it's clever to use techonology t make him aware of the info he's being fed, but I'm not sure Facebook live is the right way. If he's sat there live reading everything, there's no filter and they could tell him anything and give god knows what away, I think the producers should just choose tweets to him or something but I guess this way it's less open to manipulation.

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 10:22 PM

Yeh that's my problem. Facebook Live means he is literally open to EVERYTHING. Whilst I absolutely hate all the Twitter comment reveals, at least that has the potential to just be ONE random person's thoughts.

It is just one step away from giving housemates full access to Twitter where they may as well not even be locked up in the house.

QUOTE(HausofSZA @ Jun 4 2017, 02:02 PM) *

It's just so much harder to personally relate to the cast now, which made the show have a very, very different appeal in the days of Jade Goody and other nobodies. The vast majority of Big Brother viewers don't have instagram followers into four figures so the concept of the show has indeed changed. And so have its ratings ooops

(I realise this is nothing new)

Posted by: cqmerqn 5th June 2017, 10:38 PM

Good show.

I reckon we'll get Andrew, Sue and Simone at some point. Seems quite unfair that they didn't make it in!

Posted by: cqmerqn 5th June 2017, 10:39 PM

Not a huge fan of the cast though, far too many reality stars and prof models. Look at 2016 Big Brother... that's a cast and a half!

Which was full of reality stars and professional models laugh.gif It's pretty much on the same level, if anything I know less this year.

Who were known from last year? I can't remember

Lateysha... and? lmao idk oops

Posted by: Klaus 5th June 2017, 11:05 PM

Last series had literally everyone having some tiny claim to fame (apart from Hughie, Jayne & Evelyn I think), this year is certainly better in that respect.

Laura was from Young, Free and Single & did acting work on like Casualty, Lateysha from Valleys, Georgina from taking New York, Alex from Judge Geordie, Ryan from X Factor, Natalie from dominating George Osbourne, Jason from being Dave Baustia's body double, Marco from being Marco Pierre White's son, Charlie was on Snog Marry Avoid and other stuff.

Loved hearing him talk about the show and was gutted when they cut him off just as he was about to talk about BB US!!

Posted by: Liаm 5th June 2017, 11:09 PM

This time it's really only the Ex On The Beach people I'm a bit iffy about just because like Megan, Chloe and Bear were on CBB. Ellie you deffo make a case for CBB as well but this time around there a lot more with no little brush with fame.

Posted by: RobBob 5th June 2017, 11:34 PM

Megan and Bear were just about the two biggest names from Ex On The Beach, in terms of the impact they made on the show. It pretty much revolved around them both at points, you couldn't really say that about any of these three. Likewise, with Ibiza Weekender, I imagine only Jordan and Imogen (the two main characters from the beginning) would be classed as CBB-worthy.

Tom. Really UK?! You're going to vote in TOM?!
It should have been Sue. But. They were all piss poor options TBH.

WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE TOM IN THERE ugh

Posted by: Liаm 6th June 2017, 09:35 PM

Ugh hate Tom and Joe so far, especially the former. He is deffo gonna get arrogant with this power, hopefully he takes himself out like Pauline but I'm sure the public will let him off because he's a Love Island reject with muscles and a few tattoos.

Posted by: Mack 6th June 2017, 10:02 PM

Chanelle doesn't wear very much does she! Flipping heck falling out nearly. Does Joe remind anyone of Chelsea in mannerisms from the last series?

Posted by: Liаm 6th June 2017, 10:08 PM

Omg YES I'm getting Chelsea vibes!! I think a tweet i saw earlier sums him up perfectly "that bloke down the pub who always has something to say" laugh.gif

As much I dislike Tom I do think separating the couples is a good idea, it'll stir up some drama with the people who can't it and it forces the couples right out of their comfort zone and they'll need to make connections with others quicker. I can see Lotan vs. Chanelle for the first eviction, Lotan might just be quiet now he's in but Chanelle screams first evictee to me, although I doubt she is like that the whole time. Having to make such decisions should be left a couple of days imo, they're all a bit hyper and excitable at first, they've just gone in Big Brother!

Posted by: RobBob 6th June 2017, 10:14 PM

Joe definitely reminds me of Chelsea, yes.

Chanelle already promoted to instant favourite for me, not ready for probably lose her on Friday.

Posted by: HausofSZA 6th June 2017, 10:16 PM

WAHHHHHHHHHHHH

(I don't think she'd be first out! In a vote to save she's one of the loudest / will therefore attract votes.. depends what the twist is for who gets put up but I can see her surviving)

At least Chanelle is a character unlike some e.g. Tom, Arthur and Kayleigh.

Posted by: HarryApa 6th June 2017, 10:24 PM

What annoys me is how Tom etc hates Raph just because he has seen the VT saying he has a game plan....are you aware it's a game show Tom laugh.gif Like why is it such a bad thing?

WAHHHHHHH!

Posted by: Mack 6th June 2017, 10:30 PM

Raph and Tom will clash soon I reckon.

Posted by: Klaus 6th June 2017, 10:31 PM

Rylan seems to have reigned it in a bit too.. Please can this continue?

Seems a bit convenient that the one they recruited from Facebook is the one having all this protection and ended up getting voted in :eyes: If it was one of the others they'd probably revel in throwing someone out for it.

And they definitely would delete the comments, they always bloody do drama.gif

Raph and Sukhvinder are my favourites so far. wub.gif

Posted by: Liаm 7th June 2017, 09:20 PM

Sukhvinder is 100% the Toya of this series, she is taking none of their shit but the public will HATE her for it and she'll be like 2nd or 3rd out sad.gif

Posted by: RobBob 7th June 2017, 10:05 PM

I'm finding Sukhvinder way too serious so early on the series. Have fun, it's only the first 2 days, no need to be so dismissive and critical. I'm not buying Arthur's character either, I think he's putting on some controversial, airtime-grabbing personality that is all just an act. Real or not though, he's just coming across as rude to me.

Ellie went down for me this episode too, I imagine plenty here will point fingers at Lotan as the typical arrogant male but he put much less emphasis on that being a "thing" than she did, chasing him around and getting friends to speak to him about it all. Boring.

Mandy's grown on me, Imran's coming across very well, Chanelle continues to make me smile whenever she's on screen as her face alone is funny but the way she phrases things just make everything more amusing than they should be. I think once she calms down some of the 'fanny flutter' kind of talk which I think is partly down to insecurities and feeling she has to be larger than life, we'll start to see a real sweet side of her aswell as we started to tonight.

Posted by: Liаm 7th June 2017, 10:09 PM

Ellie seemed to me tonight to be like one of those girls who chases the first boy who breathes in her direction and gets puppy dog eyes because he says she's pretty drama.gif

Mandy is a queen, she had me howling with her blase response to the sex tape story laugh.gif

Posted by: RobBob 7th June 2017, 10:17 PM

She's gonna pedal this Josie type "oh, he's out of my league, why would he go for little old chubby me" until the wheels come off aswell.

great to hear such different views from you guys - enjoyed reading them. I am trying not to judge as its so early on but opinions are forming. love it to bits and I love the mix - a real good mix it is and that is going to make one hell of a summer. this is my 10 cents on Arthur - I think he is a strong person but the question - will they crack him eventually ? will he need a minder (pun lol )

arthur - daley- does he need a MINDER ? 08.06.17

Basically agree with what you said Rob. I want to like Suhkvinder but she's being waay too serious too soon. I don't think she's handlling it too well, hopefully she'll change as she gets used to it all. I think she'll definitely be in danger on Friday though.

Chanelle is actually really warming on me. As long as she stops this waaahh shit & fanny thing, I think I will grow to like her. Maybe in the same vein as Laura last year.

ngl I wasn't even paying attention to that final part, just zzz.gif

Posted by: Klaus 8th June 2017, 06:58 PM

Seen an image of tonight's show where they're in the other house's back garden. It hasn't even been touched in terms of redecoration since last year 🙈🙈🙈

Posted by: Mack 8th June 2017, 07:53 PM

Plenty of arguments tonight potentially.....

Posted by: HausofSZA 8th June 2017, 09:58 PM

Really good episode. Perfect blend of arguments, drama and character development.

Sukh is far too volatile. I agreed with everything she said but it was far too loud and aggressive to be taken seriously. Rebecca's bite back during the podium task though mellow.gif

Tom's decisions for exile/safety were a f***ing joke. He is such a snake and using "the public told me" as some lame excuse :') Easily the worst in there.

Chanelle omg, fast becoming my fave laugh.gif

Apparently Tom will chose who to evict out of the bottom 2 housemates.

I think the bottom 2 will be Rebecca and Mandy, with Tom chosing to evict Mandy. :/

Posted by: Liаm 9th June 2017, 01:57 PM

Mandy would be as bad a first evictee as Bonneh or Stephanie sad.gif I think it's gonna be her, Rebecca or perhaps Imran as he hasn't had much screentime other than telling Sukhvinder to calm down lmao, either way I think he would choose Mandy.

Ugh I hope his power stops then, like Pauline's only lasted a few days. Perhaps we can change who is the people's housemate like with Power Trip having a different person in power, idk. As long as it's not him for any longer :/

Posted by: HausofSZA 9th June 2017, 03:44 PM

I really am not doubting Imran's chances of being safe at all! I think he'll be very close to topping to vote/maybe even topping it? I know he hasn't had much screen time but he's been consistently positive and I think people have really warmed to him and will back him in force. That's just my prediction, who knows really.

Rebecca out please.

Lotan could potentially be in danger.. and Tom will for sure choose him to go if he's bottom 2 ohmy.gif

Apparently Tom will chose who to evict out of the bottom 2 housemates.

I think the bottom 2 will be Rebecca and Mandy, with Tom chosing to evict Mandy. :/

I have to say - I'm digging this season. Hopefully the momentum keeps going.

Happy to see the Bromance between Kieran/Lotan/Tom/Joe hasn't really been a focal point. I actually think Tom is doing a good job in being impartial with this whole twist.. he basically just left his best bud up for eviction. I really thought I was going to hate Chanelle, but I absolutely love her. Sukhvinder on the other hand is taking this wayyyy to seriously. Why be so argumentative? Although her opinions are valid, how she's expressing them is very off putting. I thought she would be a finalist.. but at this point.. even with a Vote to Save.. I'd give her 2 to 3 weeks tops. She's going to struggle if she's up for the vote against the wrong people.

LOVE: Chanelle/Rebecca/Sukhvinder
LIKE: Deborah/Hannah/Ellie/Imran/Tom
OKAY: Arthur/Kayleigh/Mandy/Raph
BORING: Kieran/Lotan/Charlotte
HATE: Joe

I was kind of hoping that Tom would leave Charlotte up there and that she'd go. She's the most boring of the lot.
Arthur I think has the most potential to really turn this around. He stands out for all the right reasons. I think he has the ability to win the public over.
I'm fine with Mandy leaving. I really want Rebecca to stay.

Posted by: Liаm 9th June 2017, 08:08 PM

Ah it's only vote to save for this stupid twist, hopefully they keep it because it is better if we lose like Lotan or Imran or Rebecca over Sukhvinder just yet. It's to do with the small print of Ofcom I think, you have to evict the person with the most votes if it's to evict whereas if it's to save, they can do this silly twists with it.

I love Arthur lmao, I feel like he might get a bit much and annoying but he's winding everyone up in the best way.

Posted by: Liаm 9th June 2017, 08:27 PM

"Don't walk that way or you'll fall off the edge" LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The crowd are so DEAD laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 9th June 2017, 09:10 PM

Hope he boots Imran, I love Mandy sad.gif It would also drive Sukhvinder even more crazy laugh.gif

Edit: Ugh f***ing IDIOT. He only did that so he can have a showmance with her daughter and sail to the final. Mandy had so much potential, I think this is up there with Stephanie and Shabnam as a first eviction being absolute w*** :/

Posted by: cqmerqn 9th June 2017, 09:12 PM

Mandy probably had more votes than Imran. Can't stand Imran

Posted by: HausofSZA 9th June 2017, 09:12 PM

I am happy Mandy went over those two, but I really don't like them using the "your daughter will open up more without you" card - like mothers are free to have their own lives too and live for it. Plus she's FAR more interesting than Charlotte so far ha.

Posted by: Liаm 9th June 2017, 09:16 PM

Yeah I hate that too, I think Charlotte is just more boring than her mum and that's that laugh.gif It's like Charlie Travers, she was the same with and without Jackie, you can't just assume everyone has that wild side waiting to come out the second a certain circumstance is fulfilled like their mum is evicted.

I really don't like Imran and Sukhvinder is putting me off more with each episode, but at least she's bringing the drama.

Posted by: RobBob 10th June 2017, 12:20 AM

I think I'm disappointed with who went tonight but when I look at all of the characters that were up, perhaps it's not a bad thing? I don't think she had a HUGE amount to offer and I think she'd have been a bigger character than her daughter but her daughter wasn't up, so it's a pointless comparison. Out of the bottom two (which I'm very shocked at, with Imran!), I think she was the better of the two to go.

Arthur does come out with some funny comments but I just find him so false and constantly reaching for camera time that I can't enjoy it. He's way too aware.

was booting mandy arthurics or BB politics ? 10.06.17

this was my kind of democracy
a village meeting
i'm the biggest hypocrisy
highgate no's its no cheating.
arthur got order
but there was a revolt
this question time was on the recorder
the day they shut parliament after the split bolt.
writing was on the wall
mr arthur got very fiery
no time for frustration to stall
firing a blank would cause a smiley.
love the back bone
worshiping arthurs ground
dominating the entire zone
its going along the world as its not round.
fridays eviction was icing
both would have been randy
we must not give imran over pricing
but for now delighted for booting mandy.

This is how I think the vote went

1. Chanelle
2. Arthur
3. Lotan
4. Rebecca
5. Mandy
6. Imran

This series is giving me life so far, but Kayleigh is just sick2.gif

Posted by: RobBob 10th June 2017, 09:05 PM

Poor, poor Imran.

Posted by: Liаm 11th June 2017, 03:29 PM

Omg Sukhvinder is legit mini Pauline, everyone was stanning launch night and even without the power she's completely blown up drama.gif I'm not a fan of Imran either thoguh, he has nothing to him really and keeps going on about unity, but she just goes off at nothing and whilst she was bringing drama last night with the alcohol was ridic. She is surely gone at the next opportunity as it'll most likely switch to vote to evict, especially now Arthur is gone I think she could get a significant % although obviously we never know that nowadays apart from the time they told Pauline she had like 80% laugh.gif

I just love how it's always alcohol that causes such a furore!

has Arthur gone ? not seen anything yet - I will be so disappointed if has walked - going to not read nothing or try not to and judge it when I see it. with all the trouble about the wine that is what I decided to focus on with my latest work. hope you all enjoy.

will winegate get into highgate ? 11.06.17

first of all i apologize
with the news its now Ebeneezer
n6 and BB is the criticize
this will not be a melting like a malteser.
the booze is fueling
its like a gardener and spading
sukvinder is already known for ruling
her BB experience will lead to significant down grading.
evident is the dilemma
like society and equal i underline
this was just as bad as a middle east tremor
kayliegh is a fanatic her poison is wine.
king arthur is oblivious
not sensible getting involved
i won't back him in saying its ridiculous
like Parliament BB will have to be dissolved.
this is the result of institution

is signing up to BB a act like prostitution
so many thoughts poring from the gate of wine.

Yeah, Arthur quit. Apparently were talking about that now. I had no idea he left until I saw that message.
Apparently this episode is going to be massive. Arthur trying to spill the tea on Twitter while not revealing much and Marcus tweeting that he's still doing voiceovers 4 hours before the show even goes on the air.

There's a small clip of an argument leading up to what I'm assuming is Arthur leaving. DUST. ANYONE. DUST?
Disappointing. He was by far the most complex character in there. I went from thinking he had a chance to win, to no chance, to a good chance due to the bullying. Hopefully he's replaced by someone great.

If your refering to what's been put in Spoilers, it's Arthur leaving. Which is why I'm not putting this in spoiler since you've already spoiled Arthur has left. blink.gif So it's this episode. Was edited up to pretty much the last minute.
Granted. I don't watch the show in real time. Only when it's uploaded.

Digital Spy said tomorrow is when it's aired, but I assume it's the events of today's highlights that leads to it. Normally they chuck it at the end of the highlights and say "this was today" but idk. It'll probably just be disappointing af but I am hoping for an OTT dramatic ejection and walking mutual thing.

Oh, I don't know I'm just assuming it's tonights episode. I may be wrong, I haven't been paying attention to the timeline, so spoiler it up if it needs to. I'm not watching this episode live.

Posted by: Mack 11th June 2017, 08:39 PM

He isn't helping himself is he, Arthur?

Posted by: Mack 11th June 2017, 08:41 PM

Reminds me a bit of Shahbaz's behaviour from BB7. Doing things for attention. Arthur.

Posted by: Connor. 11th June 2017, 08:43 PM

I honestly cannot see how anyone can defend Arthur? Social media can be a weird place at time. I mean, some of the others are just as bad but I'm sure many of us would be feeling the same way about him if we were in with him.

Posted by: Liаm 11th June 2017, 08:46 PM

Yeah I'm getting definite Shahbaz teas, I said that in the other thread! Like, I can easily see he's annoying them, but they are borderline bullying him at this point. Kayleigh and Tom are absolutely vile people. At the end of the day, like with Bear, they don't help themselves by exacerbating him with attention. I understand that being in there with him would make you snap at some point but they don't make it any better for themselves.

Posted by: Connor. 11th June 2017, 08:59 PM

Kayleigh is just as awful as well. She'll be straight out when she's up.

Posted by: Liаm 11th June 2017, 09:00 PM

Kayleigh is rancid "this ain't no f***ing game" erm I think it is love you're all competing for money at the end...

I also don't think the producers are helping always giving them alcohol to exacerbate the situation, hasn't this been every night so far they've had alcohol? laugh.gif

Posted by: HausofSZA 11th June 2017, 09:02 PM

What a weird episode.. I actually agreed and sided with Joe and Tom throughout and Arthur's behaviour made even them two grow on me mellow.gif

I can't stop belly laughing at Chanelle whenever she is on screen. She is giving this series the laughter it needs amidst all the explosive drama.

Excited for tomorrow now ohmy.gif

Posted by: Houdini 11th June 2017, 09:29 PM

I just watched this properly for the first time during the series and that girl that was talking about doggy style is obviously lacking class to talk about it in such detail on national TV.

Posted by: Parallel Reality 11th June 2017, 09:36 PM

Joe definitely came across well tonight. I don't think Tom did really and Kayleigh is vile. sick2.gif Excited to see what happens on tomorrow's episode now!

Tom and Kayleigh really are rancid c**ts aren't they?

Gutted about Arthur. Don't get me wrong, I can imagine he'd have been in a pain in the ass to live with, but what an absolute cracker of a housemate.

I'm sure if he's replaced we'll get another Ex On The Beach cast-off rolleyes.gif

Posted by: Liаm 11th June 2017, 10:13 PM

Hopefully they put Sue in, she's been slagging off Tom left right and centre on Twitter *.* I still think at least one of the other people's housemate candidates will go in, perhaps to stir up dramz when like Sukhvinder and Kayleigh are evicted and there's less going on, as they'll have watched and formed opinions and go in with a vendetta.

I'll wait and see tomorrow but if Kayleigh doesn't get warned I'll be v suspicious, it will reek of Viacom protecting their precious Ex On The Beach """""stars"""""".

I agree with everyone about Kayleigh. She just doesn't seem to show any nice qualities really... At least Sukhvinder can be reasonable 50% of the time but the only time Kayleigh seems to laugh is at the expense of someone else. We can see Arthur is a pain in the arse but he wasn't actually doing anything to provoke her when she started screaming at him on the sofa. I'm not defending his behaviour - I think a lot of it stems from his childhood, my guess is playing up for attention, though his behaviour doesn't really come across to me as particularly malicious.

Yeah, not keen on Kayleigh AT ALL. Sure, Arthur is very annoying and comes somewhere around the bottom of my list, but she's just SO unpleasant and seemingly doesn't have a vocabulary that stretches further than having to say "f***ing" every 3 words.

Caught up on the weekend's episodes and both Sukhvinder and Imran have really fallen down in my estimations. Never mind the lack of happiness but I can't get over anyone thinking the world is flat.

I also hate it when housemates look up to an older housemate just because of their age despite the fact that they're thick as shit. *cough*Joe*cough* Tom seems to be a full on proper puppy dog, just following him around everywhere. Tom is really just full of himself and thinks he's a hard man too when its nothing of the sort. On the reverse, I'm actually warming to Lotan! ohmy.gif

Mandy being evicted was expected and wasn't hugely disappointing. I don't feel she had lots to give, in the same way the others might have done (for better or worse). Her interview was quite boring even though she did only have like 4/5 days to go on.

Posted by: Klaus 12th June 2017, 10:14 PM

Sad at Arthur leaving. A nightmare to live with I'm sure but it would have been interesting to see how that would have played out over time.

I feel like she's the obvious winner at this point manson.gif

Posted by: HausofSZA 13th June 2017, 08:48 PM

She is legit my least favourite housemate right now laugh.gif So fake and see-through and not funny in the slightest. Sure she's not malicious, but she's annoying as f***. Playing every Big Brother cliche, and getting them all wrong, nah.

Posted by: cqmerqn 13th June 2017, 08:54 PM

Ellie is just so similar to Chloe Wilburn though... hope she wins. Lovely, genuine girl.

Posted by: Liаm 13th June 2017, 08:55 PM

She's like a really calculated cross between Chloe and Josie, without having the appeal of those two. Except I doubt she has the brains to calculate such a persona I think she's just boring af.

Omg I still can't get over Sukhvinder thinking that she was legit gonna suffocate over Chanelle putting a bag like a tiny bit over her head rotf.gif

Posted by: Liаm 13th June 2017, 09:40 PM

This series is confirmed vote to save!

I do think it's more exciting that way, and should weed out the bores in a better way, I really hope Charlotte doesn't go (she HAS to unleash the Ashleigh teas) but it could be her, Rebecca or Kayleigh imo. Rebecca low-key problematic queen *_* Like, I can't take to her fully but I didn't expect her to get so many nominations laugh.gif This should keep Sukhvinder much longer too which is fab, she is the huge reason to watch atm for me.

Posted by: Parallel Reality 13th June 2017, 09:45 PM

I think at this stage, Rebecca or Kayleigh are in danger of those up.

Posted by: Ryan. 13th June 2017, 09:47 PM

Charlotte reminds me of Ashleigh too, I hope we don't lose her too early! sad.gif

It's promising she's had more airtime than Kayleigh again today and Rebecca will surely struggle for votes too so hopefully there's some sort of Charlotte fanbase out there for her.

Posted by: Liаm 13th June 2017, 09:56 PM

Ellie is single handedly dragging this series down JESUS CHRIST STFU GIRL. I really hope this costs her because she seems so hyper aware of the conventions of a "fun" "normal" girl on the show and is butchering them ALL. I feel like she's 100% going to be one of those who coasts to the end from never being nominated then just wins though :/

This series has gone downhill quite quickly lmao, it's hard to give a shit about anyone beyond Sukhvinder, Charlotte, Raph and Chanelle, and I guess Imran but I can't fully take to him. I think there is potential from the likes of Rebecca, Hannah, Deborah, maybe Kieran though so I hope that when we've lost 2 or 3 more housemates they get more screentime and come out of their shell a bit more.

Chanelle is my fave but she wasn't at her best this episode. I desperately want to see more of Hannah, Deborah and Charlotte. Really want Kayleigh to go this week.

I think Imran MAY leave this week. He was quite clearly at the bottom last Friday so hopefully he'll leave. Looks like there'll be a twist though as it's VTS.

Posted by: Liаm 13th June 2017, 10:10 PM

^They said on BOTS Mandy was bottom of the vote! And Imran has had more airtime this week I feel, he feels much more relevant than say Rebecca and more accessible to watch than Kayleigh so he'll be fine I think. I wouldn't be hugely shocked if he did go, saying that, I just don't think he will.

I doubt they'll do a twist again I think this series just is vote to save, the first two C5 series were and CBB always is so they probably just switched for whatever reason.

Also ofc Ellie has been on TV before with the Ibiza Weekender so I think she knows exactly what she's doing, although I'm not sure she is even smart enough to calculate that, perhaps she is just a really generic person, not that it's too much better that way drama.gif

Posted by: jase. 13th June 2017, 10:20 PM

BigBlagger on Twitter, usually a reliable source, says this week is vote to save but it will be vote to evict after this, I hope they don't pull another twist laugh.gif Maybe it's because there's a good few up but it's been vote to evict with this many up before so idk.

Posted by: Mack 13th June 2017, 10:54 PM

What was all about that, yes Chanelle shouldn't have done what she did but nothing for Kieran saying if you'd been a man...... when she removed his hat.

Posted by: Klaus 13th June 2017, 10:57 PM

Yeh it's waaaay too early days to call any housemate disappointing for not appearing much. Some of the best housemates are invisible for the first couple of weeks or so and then are able to shine as new storylines/dynamics develop.

Just a random example but Toya was invisible for the first couple of weeks, she become the power housemate and then became REALLT loud and fiesty and was evicted that week.

Posted by: Mack 13th June 2017, 11:15 PM

About time someone stood up to dipstick Lotan. Not keen on him. Chelsea Singh 2.0 is even worse sounds like him but much worse than Chelsea.

Posted by: Aaron. 14th June 2017, 01:59 AM

I don't get all the hate for Ellie. Don't get me wrong, I don't like or dislike her.. I'm indifferent at this point.. but from what I've seen.. she seems genuine and nice.
That conversation she had with Lotan is pretty much the exact conversation that I've had with someone I had a crush on (very clearly) and it was pretty obvious that it wasn't going to go anywhere with us. In a way I feel bad for her. Girl had too much to drink and looked like a twat. But. We've all been there at some point laugh.gif
Yeah, she will coast to the end and probably stand a good chance of winning. But. You can't blame her for that. She's been nice and treated everyone with respect which will probably see her getting all the way to the end without being nominated.

I'd rather spend my time hating on Joe. Complete and utter twat.

800,000 viewers last night, absolute disaster :/ I can see them cutting this short again if it doesn't improve.

Posted by: jase. 14th June 2017, 07:29 PM

The cast in general is appalling so I'm not surprised tbh

Posted by: Liаm 14th June 2017, 09:25 PM

I think they really should be going in the opposite direction to what they are, Love Island whilst I am not a fan I think has nailed the sort of demographic BB is after and it's not going to help chasing that further by putting in guests like Marnie f***ing Simpson. Not that only Love Island can exist but I don't think it helps that they're trying to go down the trashy reality route, making a thing out of Rebecca and Kieran for example. A radical overhaul would probably just be too much a risk though, and then again even with like 800k-1m it's still a decent amount of viewers for C5 anyway, it's just a bit eek compared to what BB used to be.

(not that BB isn't trashy, but like even if you look at Timebomb, we didn't need all the reality TV contestants who know what they're doing and are all the same generic personality)

Sukhvinder instigates so much drama, I really hope she doesn't go on Friday!

Posted by: No Sleeep 14th June 2017, 09:43 PM

Why did they put the "celebs" in, they cause enough drama on their own. They bring nothing tbh, just dragging it down.

Somebody needs to tell Rebecca to shut her face lol she annoys me so much! She has such a condescending expression and tone 24/7, especially when she was talking to Hannah there. As if she even knew what she was talking about mad.gif I hate the "popular" gang tbh it would be so much better if it was just Deborah, Hannah, Sukhvinder, Imran, Raph, Charlotte and Chanelle.

Posted by: troylovesmusic 14th June 2017, 09:44 PM

Debroah and Hannah are delivering tonight and talking facts the way Deborah dragged Rebecca ! laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 14th June 2017, 09:57 PM

Rebecca seems such a sour cow, don't think she's cracked a smile all series. She's always got something to say but it never seems to be of much substance... Plus she wants to not be defined by Kieran but all she ever does is whine and cry ABOUT KIERAN. I suppose she can't control the editing and the fact that C5 are stupidly running with it, but surely with the nature of their relationship surely she should have guessed that they'd get shit like this? laugh.gif Especially with the show as it is now.

Sukhvinder is an icon.

Posted by: Jack 14th June 2017, 10:04 PM

Sukhvinder had me LIVING this episode. Really team Hannah and Deborah as well, so ignorant to call a black woman aggressive when she's in an argument. No one said that about Kayleigh, Chanelle, Lotan etc when they were shouting for instance.

Posted by: HausofSZA 14th June 2017, 10:05 PM

Liam you have summed up all my thoughts perfectly there laugh.gif

I really dislike Rebecca (and Ellie ofc). The rest I'm coping with now actually. Sukhvinder is back to being major *.* worthy after today too.

Posted by: Liаm 14th June 2017, 10:10 PM

Omg exactly, Kayleigh goes raging and calls someone a c**t for basically no reason and it's fine but Hannah and Deborah defend themselves and they're "aggressive"... Like it was Hannah and Lotan why does Rebecca feel the need to get involved, push it and THEN call them aggressive.

Posted by: Parallel Reality 14th June 2017, 10:12 PM

Rebecca had so much potential to be an amazing housemate too, but she's just so lame lmao. Bless her.

Or when Tom randomly had a tantrum and threw everything off the table. I literally jumped lmao but not a word was said rolleyes.gif

They did the exact same thing to Tiffany. It's so frustrating to watch but I'm glad Deborah and Hannah are addressing it.

And I love Chanelle but she hit Kieran's hat off, yet it's only aggressive when the black girls raise their voice... I don't think at all that it was meant to be racial as such, but I think a woman who seems to have so many opinions on so many things that she harps out every time she vaguely wants to should have the cognizance to realise the implication that they could have. I don't think Hannah and Deborah were unreasonable at all (maybe a bit loud as it went on, but they were pushed to it), especially when you compare it to so many of the arguments this series. Now I know they aren't everyone else but it does seem to echo Tiffany that only now is being a bit angry such a problem...

I forgot how awful they were over Tiffany, the whole "she has to go!!1!" thing laugh.gif

I'm sorry, but the Sisters can go after tonight. Bringing Race into the whole thing was just a ???. You were called aggressive because, well. You were being aggressive. You can go now. Bye.
I unfortunately don't disagree with everyone else's assessment of Rebecca. Just a sniffling brat really? I expected a lot more being a business woman like she is. She handled the Sisters well.. But everything else tonight and in the last few days. Not so much.

Shocked at how little impact Marnie/Gemma/Nicola had on this episode. If they hadn't been there we would have gotten the same episode, sans the odd Kayleigh/Marnie storyline.

Posted by: JosephStyles🐶 15th June 2017, 01:31 PM

See I understood where the sisters were coming from, of course being part of a minority group will lead to unnecessary remarks and I'm sympathetic towards that, but in this case I think it was totally wrong to bring race into it as yelling in someone's face can be considered pretty aggressive, regardless of your race?

This series is a total mess so far and I'm kinda living for it laugh.gif Raph and Chanelle seem to be the only two I'm consistently liking. Sukhvinder in particular sways between likeable and incredibly unlikeable. I actually quite like Rebecca although I wish they'd move on from this "will they won't they" with Kieran.

Ikr? laugh.gif I get that in their warped minds of what makes a good show, putting ex housemates in could be good, but they'd have to at least try. They aren't big enough names that their mere presence drives up ratings, it's still down to below 1 million for what I think is the first time ever on a weekday. I suppose we've got a couple of highlight shows with them in left, perhaps a few more viewers will tune in as word gets out but they might as well at least use them more if they're going to get desperate enough to get them in laugh.gif At least stir a Marnie and Kayleigh argument or something.

Calling her a hoe is legit nothing compared to her calling anyone who so much as looks at her wrong a c*** laugh.gif Belongs on the streets I think probably ties into hoe as a prostitute reference but I think the connotations and potential of c**t offending people is worse. I personally don't care, it's a word, but I do understand not everyone views it as such, but she just throws it around and has to be one of the least classy housemates ever.

What does her size has anything to do with this?

Posted by: Klaus 15th June 2017, 10:42 PM

Really struggling to get into this series, it really needs a more diverse cast (which is ironic given the theme of the series...). Diversity is what helps to actually set Big Brother apart from the other numerous reality shows. Now it has just become an inferior version of its competition which alienates its loyal audience and casual viewers who will just choose the ''better'' reality shows. Most of the housemates this series are just blending into one for me. Apart from Sukvinder and Chanelle, where are the chharacters?

It needs a diverse cast with bigger characters, a greater emphasis on FUN and better tasks. It needs to stop emulating other shows and make itself different, to give people a reason to actually watch.

I actually would be in favour of a 4 In, 4 Out twist...

Posted by: Mack 15th June 2017, 10:43 PM

Watched then switched off after 5 minutes. I don't want to know about Lotan all the time and Kayleigh moaning about Marnie.

Posted by: Klaus 15th June 2017, 10:46 PM

I also still don't get the purpose of Marnie, Gemma and Nicola other than attracting online Tabloid headlines (see Marnie talking about Lewis). Like, why are we being forced to care about them? What do they add? It just disrupts the flow of the show. I find Gemma Collins unintentionally hilarious but the whole thing is just completely unnecessary.

I just know that we'll get an interview with them on Friday's eviction show too. drama.gif

Posted by: Parallel Reality 15th June 2017, 10:49 PM

I thought Imran's "She deserves to be out on the streets" comment was a little harsh, and is a little bit offensive towards rough sleepers (Not that they'd be watching). But on the flipside, calling someone you barely know a "c**t" is rude. Like if one of my friends called me it I'd find it funny, but it'd be a different story if someone I disliked said it to me.

Don't get me wrong, I detest Kayleigh, but Imran's comment was vile. He proved how much of a twat he was the other day when he told Raph to "man up" by getting his own bed/not share with Chanelle, which doesn't make any f***ing sense anyway..

But yeah, the show was just awful. NOBODY CARES about Lotan and Ellie manson.gif

EDIT: It's ironic I say nobody cares because one of those two will probably win rolleyes.gif

Posted by: Liаm 15th June 2017, 11:19 PM

I'd so support a 4 in 4 out, we could lose Ellie, Lotan, Joe and Tom and put in a few normal people who are still big characters. I wouldn't be entirely shocked if they did do it, they're gonna be so desperate to do SOMETHING with the way the ratings are going, and I think they need to realise they don't need to fo in the direction that they're going. But ofc they will, their idea of upping ratings will be putting Lotan's ex in.

I do feel like both Ellie and Lotan will make the final at this rate and I don't know if I can take an entire series of them. I find it even worse than Jeremy and Stephanie, at least Stephanie was a hot mess.

Knowing C5, they'll try and get rid of the likes of Raph and Charlotte so they can bring in some of the ex's/partners of the popular crew rolleyes.gif

Posted by: Liаm 15th June 2017, 11:42 PM

I'm sort of resigned to losing Charlotte tomorrow sad.gif Rebecca and Kayleigh don't seem that liked but they've had storylines this week and a bit of airtime.

If it was vote to evict I'd be almost certain Kayleigh would go, even above Sukhvinder, but with vote to save it's always a bit more ambiguous and I think easier for them to manipulate. They've barely shown Charlotte at all this week so it's hard to see her getting votes beyond the forum sort of crowd and even they'll go for Raph or Sukhvinder over her I'd have thought, mostly.

Posted by: Liаm 16th June 2017, 09:07 PM

It was a bit suss that they didn't tell her to stay or whatever, there's been other times when people have legit gone to leave with people and they've said stop stay in the house, but I suppose it's different when they are husband and wife, as that hasn't happened before. But yeah I expect they've seen them say if one leaves then so does the other so I'm keeping my cynical hat on the hatstand kink.gif They didn't show us to make it a shock but I expect that they've said it all this week and last with the thought that one of them could go.

Seriously though, they've harped on about diversity and a "United Kingdom Of Big Brother" but in just 2 weeks we've lost the older woman, the Muslim and the Sikh, so we're left with a Geordie Shore cast plus Raph, Joe and Charlotte drama.gif

If it wasn't summer and I had anything better to do, I'd give up but I'm gonna keep watching to see if anything changes. If it's still like this in a couple of weeks I think I'll be done.

What a waste, Kieran wouldn't have gotten a single nomination I imagine and Lotan probably only from Hannah and Deborah. At least Raph is safe, with him not able to be nominated as the easy option and Sukhvinde and Imran gone these next nominations will be so interesting, although I feel like the sisters will be the new Imran and Sukhvinder.

I think it's very premature for calling this series a write-off and not worth watching, up until two days ago I think it was widely agreed it was off to a great start entertainment-wise? I don't think two episodes, widely influenced by the VIPs who have left, mean that is going to become the norm.

That said, so glad Charlotte stayed but was bittersweet to lose Sukhvinder. Hopefully the fact the VIPs have left and we are down to just 12 will allow the outsiders - Raph, Charlotte, Chanelle, Hannah, Deborah - to get some more airtime but I do think they need to add someone to their group. I imagine some new HMs will come in now we've lost two unexpectedly.

Sukhvinder and Imran were literally the only reason I enjoyed it so much, yeah it was good up until two days ago when it became The Lotan Show feat. Kieran which we can expect more of now Sukhvinder's out!

It would have helped if they had an actually diverse cast instead of trying to make it an amalgamation of the shite that Viacom peddles on MTV

I think Hannah and Deborah will be up definitely, and probably Rebecca. If Rebecca's up, I can see her going. Mind you, I wonder if one of Hannah or Deborah are evicted, will the other leave too? I think the producers will want to avoid that.

--

I would like them to put in another housemate that will join the 'exiles' *cough*Sue*cough* But I don't think they will and they'll just use it to cut the series short.

I think it will completely descend into Love Island now. Raph/Chanelle/Charlotte and the sisters are our only hope.

Posted by: Liаm 16th June 2017, 09:23 PM

Yeah that's true that it's probably not helped by these 3 "VIP" guests, because both Gemma and Marnie are scripted reality "stars" so it was a bit oversaturated on that front. My reason for definitely giving it a while more is that there is such potnetial in the sisters, Charlotte, Raph and Chanelle (who we've seen a fair bit so far tbf) that should now come out, as these three are gone and Sukhvinder and Imran are also gone. Viacom just need to gtfo and stop making episodes into mini versions of their MTV shows, because they exist, Love Island exists, BB can go down its own lane.

Also agree that they probably won't put anyone else in, it means they can cut the series short without having to do mass evictions or the backdoor evictions they did last year.

Posted by: Klaus 16th June 2017, 11:48 PM

I literally only care about Raph & Chanelle, and we saw neither of them this episode. I wasn't a personal fan of Sukvinder but at least she added something different and she would be entertaining in that respect. I'm in desperate need of new housemates who I hope will be DIFFERENT and not people who could easily fit on TOWIE/Ex on the Beach etc. There's just a lack of characters there. Its not even as though they're all focused on showmances, they're just there.

I would love to be seeing more of Raph, everyone is obviously saying that he talks about all the BB history, which I would LOVE to see even glimpses of that. Its actually ridiculous that they're banned from talking about it laugh.gif

As for eviction, I do think they'll have discussed that they're leaving together but, at the same time, I was expecting some form of BB going 'Can housemates remain at the bottom of the stairs'. Wasn't even as shocked as I should be either, don't know what that says about how much I'm enjoying the series.

But yes, woop woop for new housemates, D I V E R S I T Y please.

Why is everyone supporting Raph when he's a massive Trump supporter and goes against what the majority of the forum on here believes in?????

Posted by: Liаm 16th June 2017, 11:51 PM

Gina was so iconic, I think that series had the right level of (very vaguely, I know) known people like Gina and Dexter being in the papers for stuff about money, because that allows you to think "ooh they'd be good" but it's not like they were already on TV and knew what they were doing.

I've been watching Bea clips since she was mentioned and I think she is one of my fave evil BB housemates. I stanned her so much at the time and ik I must have been the only one, I remember her being absolutely hated but I was a right little shit at the time and thought she was such a queen and could do no wrong because I hated Freddie so much and was biased af. I recall she got something ridic like 88% of the evict vote out of 3 people laugh.gif

Even if Raph had voted for Trump 1. he is an interesting character for doing so. 2. I personally judge on the person and what they are like rather than who they voted for politically. Raph is nothing like Trump anyway.

Posted by: Liаm 17th June 2017, 12:01 AM

That's one of the main draws to Raph for me, he's such a superfan he knows little bits like that, lying to get in the house, so it really does feel like one of us is in that house laugh.gif I hate that they aren't allowed to talk about past series, I always love it on BBUS or BBCAN when superfans mention other countries' editions of BB. Conversely I doubt any of the "popular clique" wannabes even watch *our* version of Big Brother before they're scouted to be plucked from some Spanish holiday resort to recreate Geordie Shore in the confines of Borehamwood.

Secrets and Lies is the one series that C5 really got it right imo, although Ashleigh was so iconic she carried Power Trip borderline on her own for like half of it so that series was good. See I didn't mind Timebomb but it was definitely a mess, it was just "shock twist" after "shock twist" to the point where we didn't get normal nominations for something like 6 weeks and when they came it felt like that was the shock twist instead of a normal part of the show... It felt a bit paradoxical in that they weren't trying at all but were equally throwing everything at it and trying too hard. Marc's eviction was an absolute moment though, third only to Ashleigh beating Jale (one of my fave BB moments ever) and Kathreya getting evicted in her dressing gown after cockily assuming she was safe and crying that they couldn't take any more of her friends. Marc was such an arse and so smug and to see him shockingly evicted over Harry Amelia when he was fave to win really felt like such a win!!

Posted by: Klaus 17th June 2017, 12:17 AM

Agree with all of what you just said their Liam! laugh.gif

I mean there's VERY little choice of people to stan there anyway, so Raph is definitely inflated compared to if he was in a other series. I just reallly am behind him at the moment because he is such a superfan. As has been said tol, he didn't even vote Trump! I just love the fact that he watches BBUS, BBCan and BBAus, whereas at least half of them in there probably haven't even seen one series of BBUK.

Secrets & Lies, as is often said, was incredible because it got the twists RIGHT and nearly every eviction was perfect. Can we continue to apprectiate that Gina was nominated every single week and survived every single week with a vote to EVICT. It's literally the only case where the public haven't been idiots, As I often say too, I really did like Timebomb but it was partially ruined by the producer's panicking and therefore turning it into a hot mess when it could have been incredible (albeit maybe with low ratings). Last year was a really fab series on the whole too, just loads of shit tasks with home truths that spoiled it.

People have opinions that don't match yours, god forbid.

It also is their fault for harping on about a United Kingdom of BB with diverse people but like 10 of them are Viacom reality series fodder. It's not their fault the public didn't vote to save the actual diverse ones, but they're the ones who cast them and are giving them the bulk of the airtime. No wonder this series is hemorrhaging viewers, clearly a lot of the core BB fanbase don't want to watch """"""""""""""""nice"""""""""""""""""" people fawning over each other and crying. We want organic drama from the likes of Sukhvinder, normal people with normal and real reactions to think. Even when the popular clique have fun, drink alcohol and party, or argue, it feels so scripted and calculated like it's a scene from Geordie Shore.

Exactly! They're the ones who cast like 12 housemates who are the same type.

An 'older' woman and man don't attract votes in a vote to save for a civillian Big Brother unless they've been one of the major housemates. If it was vote to evict, they'd have gone nowhere.

Chanelle is quite lucky still to be there though tbh. She needs to be careful otherwise she'll be removed soon.

Posted by: cqmerqn 17th June 2017, 09:01 PM

Go Chanelle!

Posted by: Ryan. 17th June 2017, 09:02 PM

I'm a little bit split, after watching it myself I thought yes Kayleigh's removal probably is justified as her rant went on much longer. But when Big Brother relayed the events to both of them at the end, they both threatened actual violence - Chanelle's "I will kill her" and Kayleigh sharp object comment.

Chanelle was the one who actually was physically violent, arguably started the whole thing and was the one on a warning already, to me it feels a little odd that it is only Kayleigh that has got the severest of punishments.

I much prefer Chanelle any day of the week but I think she was just as much in the wrong that time and arguably it should be Kayleigh on a final warning and Chanelle on her second strike and out.

Posted by: cqmerqn 17th June 2017, 09:04 PM

I think Kayleigh was more aggressive and more threatening

Posted by: Liаm 17th June 2017, 09:10 PM

I think with Chanelle "I'll kill her" is a turn of phrase whereas specifying you're going to get a sharp object is more calculated and obviously threatening. I actually think she'll end up getting ejected though, didn't she get kicked off Ex On The Beach after one episode as well? laugh.gif And Chanelle peaked in the heat of the moment whereas Kayleigh kept on and on and on and got worse, from wanting to smack her in the face to wanting to stab her.

I feel as though it was the comments in the Diary Room that pushed Kayleigh to be ejected over getting a formal warning. Both deserved warnings up to that point but you can't get away with saying stuff like I'd get a sharp object & I'd throw and shove a chair at her. Good riddance anyway.

Now, NEW 👏🏻 HOUSE 👏🏻 MATES 👏🏻 NEW 👏🏻 HOUSE 👏🏻 MATES 👏🏻

Hopefully new housemates can push up the ratings back to normal

Posted by: jase. 18th June 2017, 12:08 PM

I'm excited about getting new housemates but I'm absolutely dreading it at the same time. I really, really hope they don't go down the Ex/Geordie Shore route.

Posted by: Klaus 18th June 2017, 12:15 PM

If they do, then they really have completely misread their audience and the ratings deserve to be horrifc.

Posted by: cqmerqn 18th June 2017, 12:50 PM

How many housemates are we getting?

Posted by: Liаm 18th June 2017, 01:06 PM

If we knew anything about it it'd have been posted lmao

Exactly! As I've said, Love Island pulls in that demographic just fine and I think that's probably what's harming their viewing figures (to be fair, Saturday is mostly lower for BB but 788k is horrendous even for a Saturday). A lot of people who do want to watch that sort of thing will watch Love Island an hour before and not want to watch it again with BB, and those who don't want to watch Love Island probably don't because they don't want a show like that. This is the worst BB has ever been for chasing that demographic and it shows, I'm not going to be totally unrealistic and say it needs to go right back to basics, but as recently as BB14 they got it so right and the last two years before this weren't that bad at all. They just need less reality wannabes and more normal people who are still big characters.

Posted by: Mack 18th June 2017, 02:21 PM

Can you see BB getting a million viewers anytime soon? Somehow I very much doubt it.

Posted by: Liаm 18th June 2017, 02:29 PM

Tbf as it's been in the 900k region a few times I wouldn't say it's impossible, but I think the new housemates will be basically be make or break. I mean look at Kim, Jess and Chloe going in the last CBB, Chloe was a big fixture the week she was in there and obviously Kim defined the entire series and then some. If they get the right people, perhaps a good portion of the viewers who are just dipping in or out or have dropped out might return and be a bit more stable. If it's more reality wannabes I wouldn't be entirely shocked to see the viewing figures get even worse! We'll have to see, you never know laugh.gif

Posted by: Jack 18th June 2017, 03:22 PM

I really think they will just go with Celeb BB from now on tbh, which in all fairness, C5 do really well. Maybe one final all stars civilian series next year to wrap it up?

Posted by: Ryan. 18th June 2017, 03:40 PM

Does C5 usually even get 800k for their late night shows? I imagine not so even what's happening now is better than what they'd be getting otherwise.

Posted by: cqmerqn 18th June 2017, 03:50 PM

Probably not but the cost to produce Big Brother is obviously much higher than what is normally in a 10pm slot.

Posted by: Jack 18th June 2017, 03:50 PM

Catching up with last night and I'm so glad Kayleigh got removed, absolutely repulsive and pathetic excuse of a woman. I'm so glad she has been removed.

For people saying Chanelle should have been removed, where we watching the same show?! Chanelle was trying to have a normal conversation and Kayleigh forced for it to escalate. Glad she got dropped by her agency too, go get in the queue at the job centre.

Hoping we see the back of Rebecca, Tom and Ellie soon. Ganghanded boring no personality morons.

Yeh, the show will be MUCH more expensive than the usual shows. There's the cost of the house, the tasks, paying living rates for housemates I think, the cast, crew, 24 hour surveillance etc

Posted by: cqmerqn 18th June 2017, 04:39 PM

I doubt they get that much from votes either

This! Normal BB has never really found its feet since it started on Channel 5... last year and the series with Gina were decent but apart from that I've always lost interest after the launch show and I religiously watched every series (that I can remember! laugh.gif) on C4. I wouldn't bother with an all star series unless they bring C4 housemates back which they won't. At this point I think the longer this series goes on the more it will hurt the next celeb BB ratings-wise.

Kinda off-topic but where has Tiffany went!? She was one of the (imo THE) best housemates they've ever had but I can't remember the last time she was on the BOTS panel or anything like that. I mean seriously they bring back Marnie but not Tiffany? huh.gif The last time I saw her was on Rylan's short-lived chat show (tongue.gif) a year ago

Posted by: Klaus 18th June 2017, 07:18 PM

Well considering Tiffany lives in the US, its a lot harder to get her on than the likes of Marnie! laugh.gif

I'm sure both her and Michelle Visage would be regulars if they lived here.

I know that lol but I mean they have Americans on all the time, you'd think they'd try a little harder to get her on considering!

Really loving Chanelle, Raph, Deborah and Hannah's friendship - all such lovely people.

I really don't like anyone else at all. Tom and Wllie's punishment for discussing was PATHETIC. Don't let them nominate!!!

Posted by: Liаm 18th June 2017, 09:55 PM

They used to be so hard on it in past series, now it's "go sit in the garden but you can still have alcohol so you can get drunk and make a fool of yourselves or we won't have enough footage of you to ruin the highlights with" :/

I miss the days when they'd like cancel nominations and put them all up as a punishment laugh.gif

I don't think I'm a fan of anybody from the clique really. I wouldn't be disappointed if any of them left on Friday. The only ones I like ATM are Raph, Chanelle, Hannah and Deborah and I'm pretty sure three will be up for eviction (and Raph probably would be too if he didn't have his immunity)

I think BB needs to punish harder for discussion of nominations. Either by making the person they want to nominate immune, putting the housemates who broke the rules up, or just putting the whole house up. But there again, they probably don't want to lose 'the nation's sweetheart' Ellie, or 'the people's housemate' Tom. Seriously, he was a let down during the task and has been rubbish ever since.

Posted by: Liаm 19th June 2017, 01:27 PM

Omg it would be honestly one of my fave moments EVER in BB if Ellie was nominated and evicted, it's more likely now that it's vote to evict but I think she'll still get at least near it :/ Hopefully she keeps declining and nobody has any time for her though. Raph is now fave to win over her, but she's still only drifted to 4/1.

I hate all the "popular" lot as well tbh, Ellie is probably the worst but Lotan is a drip as a well, Tom is a bore at best and an arrogant twat otherwise and Rebecca is simultaneously completely dull but super unlikable. Kieran seems about the best but all we've seen of him is in tandem with Rebecca or Marnie while the producers desperately try and give him a romantic storyline but ofc someone of his good looks has to be defined by how many girls fawn over him.

Posted by: Klaus 19th June 2017, 09:58 PM

I really felt for Rebecca last night. Joe's comments were very hurtful and i would not blame her for the way she reacted. I too, would be gutted if Ciaran was my friend and showed such little support. Rebecca would be better to pull away from that friendship as its toxic for her.

Rebecca, said nothing bad or wrong about Joe's daughter,in fact i thought she couldn't have worded it any better. I didnt like Joe much before last nights show but i like him even less now.

Posted by: HausofSZA 20th June 2017, 09:50 PM

The outsider clique of Hannah, Raph, Chanelle and Deborah are giving me so much life and saving this show right now. Watch Hannah be evicted this week though :'( It has to be Joe though!

Hannah and Chanelle have been STARS tonight rotf.gif

I feel like Chanelle will either be the 3rd or 4th female fan fave or she'll be a shock earlier than expected boot, not like really early but like 2 or 3 weeks before the final when everyone has her nailed on as a finalist.

I really would welcome Joe getting evicted this week.

Posted by: Klaus 21st June 2017, 02:53 PM

That was actually a better episode with us seeing the Chanelle clique get their revenge and mainly get away with it too!

Tom is hideous. I don't know if its insecurity or arrogance but overreacts to everything that is slightly aimed at him. He's the exact person who can give but cannot take it. His actions are just incredibly childish (see particularly the milk thing where god forbid, people thought it was him)

Posted by: pippa 21st June 2017, 04:26 PM

Klaus you summed up Tom perfectly. He thinks it is totally fine for people to say what they want no matter how bad or good it is but if something bad comes his way he has a tantrum. Tom appears to be someone who just wants to be loved by everyone. I would also think prior to Big Brother he would have been popular with the ladies but in the house Ciaran and Lotan are totally over shadowing him in that department and he is put out by this.

Posted by: Liаm 21st June 2017, 04:29 PM

Posted by: Klaus 21st June 2017, 04:39 PM

Yes, definitely agree with both of you there. I definitely think he feels he has to sort of be 'up there' with Lotan and, to a lesser extent, Keiran as if he's on the same level. For me, it was seen most clearly when Lotan and Kieran were comparing pecs (of all things laugh.gif) and Tom joined in and tried to show off, even though he hardly has anything.

After these two weeks of the eviction being on Thursday, it will return on the Friday... but at 10pm. Its been moved so that they can air 'The Best of Bad TV'. Priorities 🙃🙃

I actually quite like Isabelle so far and that's surprising as I didn't think I would judging from what they've shown on BOTS and from the 'blind date' task.

Posted by: HausofSZA 21st June 2017, 09:58 PM

Than tan is ICONIC.

Also her coming in and clocking that horrid trio of "lads" for what they really are within hours. I like her.

Posted by: Ryan. 21st June 2017, 10:00 PM

Isabelle has jumped straight into the right group thankfully, and hopefully Savannah was seeing the light at the end too. The lads clique are now desperate and dire and why did they keep attacking Isabelle's tan when attacking personal appearance was so off limits just yesterday (Tom's height)?

Posted by: Liаm 22nd June 2017, 02:40 AM

Omg my moment of the episode was Tom's look when the camera went to him after Savannah said she fancied Lotan and Kieran but not him rotf.gif God I cannot abide him, and his "bring another lad in make it more fun", he is genuinely that one dickhead who only likes ladz and thinks every other type of personality is below them. Really "ladz" are some of the most boring people on earth, certainly always on BB they are. Ellie is as bad, the second the newbies came in and she felt threatened that a pretty girl like Savannah came in she had to put on the full "I'm well down to earth me" act. As much as I hate her, Lotan is still an absolute dick for swerving her using his ex as an excuse then he's drooling everywhere over Savannah and desperately trying to grab her for their group.

Ugh Joe is vile, I can't stand when people are like "omg they came in late you don't deserve it!1!", half the reason we need and want newbiesis because you lot are SO boring. I warmed to Rebecca tonight as she was having fun and as quite funny, but how is it so life alteringly awful for Joe to say her face is annoying whereas she can judge Isabelle on looks the second she walked in.

As for the newbies I really like Isabelle (YAS at her picking out the "ladz" for what they are), and Savannah has potential as long as she doesn't get drawn in by the ladz. I'm glad those two got in and for how I felt yesterday when they were revealed I feel quite good about them. If both Isabelle and Savannah go to the right side, they could tip the house and make this series MUCH more bearable, so I have hope until Hannah is evicted and one of the new girls falls for Lotan, Tom and Kieran and ruins it kink.gif

Posted by: jase. 22nd June 2017, 12:29 PM

The clique bitching about Hannah

Voting to save her tbh. Can you imagine their smug f***ing faces if she survives?

And I had high hopes for Charlotte. I thought she'd eventually come out of her shell and be Ashleigh 2.0 but she really has nothing to say/is boring as f***, huh?

Posted by: Houdini 22nd June 2017, 04:28 PM

I will be surprised if Joe doesn't get evicted tonight, it's between him and Rebecca as the other two are likely to be safe.

Posted by: Liаm 22nd June 2017, 04:32 PM

I can really only see it being Joe, I wouldn't be entirely shocked at Hannah or Rebecca but in a vote to save I'm sure they have done enough over Joe. Chanelle will easily be safe and top the vote.
