A thread for the album and all assorted news!!
Harry will be both hosting and performing on Saturday Night Live on 16th November, which means he'll be singing TWO songs, and we can expect what will likely be a promo single before then! Perhaps it's Watermelon Sugar??
Harry has confirmed that he turned down the role of Prince Eric so he can tour next year! (then played it down as he's not announced it yet )
Titled Fine Line, out December 13th!!
Fantastic artwork
I'm intrigued by this, which is more than I could say about his debut
Hyped *.* not expecting this to do much though with that release date yikes
Dua's releasing her second album on the same day
I think Harry will still do better than Liam despite being released a week closer to Christmas, but it is a daunting release date. Dua releasing too! I'd like to see them both surprise and smash big time upon release, I guess it's feasible given they're both likely to have strong promotional campaigns in the lead up, plus I'm confident they'll do well in the New Year anyway.
I think what I saw with Dua may be fake
Interesting and striking artwork!
I made no secret of the fact that his debut album era left me cold, but I love Lights Up! I'm cautiously optimistic that his second album will be more of what I want from him.
Certainly a bold release date! Not sure what is likely to be his main competition that week. Could Dua stand to do better? We'll see!
That artwork
I was thinking that’s a bad release date.
Had the single came like a month early they could’ve pushed for a November release but that’s literally like Xmas chart week isn’t!
I think it might peak in position in the new year but he’ll sell more than what Liam will.

It's looking like Harry will become first member of 1D to perform at Glastonbury (though tbh Niall is probably the only other one who will play it at some point) - James Arthur won't be happy
The artwork is striking, he is really changed his style for this campaign.
Pre-order live on iTunes at midnight local time. What we know of the tracklist thus far:
1 Track 1 [3:28]
2 Track 2 [2:53]
3 Track 3 [3:27]
4 Lights Up [2:52]
5 Track 5 [4:19]
6 Track 6 [4:00]
7 Track 7 [3:12]
8 Track 8 [6:02]
9 Track 9 [3:41]
10 Track 10 [3:09]
11 Track 11 [3:17]
12 Track 12 [6:17]
His first album I wasn't fussed by, but as someone else said above, I like Lights Up and love the album cover etc. So looking forward to the album.
Him and Niall are slaying it atm
That's a seriously great album cover!
Pretty sure Dua said on Graham Norton that her album's out next year, so won't be out the same day as his?
Harry has been confirmed to be headlining the Saturday date of this year's Jingle Bell Ball, alongside Stormzy! Other artists playing are Rita Ora, Jax Jones, Jonas Blue, Ava Max, Aitch, Lauv, Young T & Bugsey, Regard and of course Liam Payne!
UK tour date confirmed
Harry's on Graham Norton on 6th December, filming the day before! Naturally I've applied for a ticket
Stormzy has announced his second album for the same day - it'll be close for #1
I'm pretty sure Stormzy will be #1... unfortunately. He is too big.
Tracklisting announced!
1. Golden
2. Watermelon Sugar
3. Adore You
4. Lights Up
5. Cherry
6. Falling

Exciting!!!!
WTF was Harry wearing on Jools Holland's show? He could have got all of 1D in those trousers.
With the single sto date getting a warm reception, his second album looks likely to be greeted with success.
Wow impressive promo for him! The One Direction guys have really tacked America well with their solo work!
For those getting confused

More detail later xo
A great second album tbh. 'Treat People With Kindness' is quite the bop
Just completed my first listen - what a great album! From the new songs, ones that stood out to me were 'Cherry', 'Falling', 'She' and 'Fine Line'. 'Lights Up' continues to be such an earworm!
Absolutely fantastic album! I wasn't sure he'd be able to top his debut - but he has for me! Can't wait to see where his career goes next.

Brilliant!
It's a serviceable album with some great tracks but he needs to work on his lyricism and storytelling — some of the songs feel a bit empty. His identity isn't quite fully formed yet either — so much of it is clearly inspired by other artists, to the point where he's essentially just doing his own version of their work.
I do think he has the potential to be a really great artist in the future though as all the foundations are there.
I think I agree. It just kinda washed over me after my few listens of it, which is a shame as I really enjoyed his debut. I'm really surprised by the mass hype around it and the generally positive reviews for it. But eh. I guess it's just not to my tastes.
Over 4k ahead of Stormzy in today's mids, gonna be a tight race
Stormzy is today and tomorrows price crash in hmv! It's £6.99. I think he has some hmv signings still too (I think). I imagine they're gonna be the difference.
I think Harry will be a big selling #2. Stormzy will stream better and I think he’ll overtake. Plus if the signings rumours are true as well that may well help him. But Harry is much bigger WW and he’s slaying everywhere tbh what a star! I was nervous of him releasing Xmas week but he’s shown what a strong fanbase he has.
sales wise he is smashing it!! And I think he’ll sell well in the long run too. I’ll be listening to the album at some point this week
Number 1 for Harry in a very tight battle with Rod Stewart at Number 2 and a little fraction behind that is Stormy.
Harry has sales of 28.5k which is a fantastic start.
What sales did his debut album open with?
I'm reallly enjoying this album, I think it's much stronger than his debut. Totally agree about him borrowing lots of different artists styles and he's not really sure exactly what type of artist he is yet. That said, there's nothing wrong with that at all. You can certainly tell out of the other 1Ders, he certainly has the most money behind him, the production values are a world away from Liam and Louis for example.
Falling surely the standout for a next single? Although Treat People With Kindness is my favourite.
Now this is what you call an album... so much diversity sonically... lyrically it's all a bit one note but it's a great record... 'Falling' is so beautiful, it hurts.
I have not yet purchased the album but plan to do so in the coming days as i like everything i have heard so far from the release.
Harry has really come through with his follow up album after also delivering a strong debut.
The scene is now set for a successful third album when the time comes.

Second week at #1 on the Billboard 200!!!!
It's the last #1 album of this decade AND the first #1 of next decade!!!
This is a huge American success for him and well ahead of his debut.
It really does feel like he's establishing himself a LOT more as a solo artist this time around. Good on him!
Amazing I’m totally gobsmacked. Well deserved though he is certainly the most interesting one to come out of One Direction solo wise. Also #1 albums in two different decades in the USA is pretty awesome!
Better tha the first album.
I've listened to this a couple of times and I am really impressed at how good it is! It's a great progression from his first album. Cherry is genuinely my favourite of the album tracks, it's stunning!
Fine Line is a much better album than his debut which was also enjoyable.
Fine Line should out do the success of his debut in the UK.

A little late but I listened to this the other week (Joseph forced me to I initially just checked out the album tracks that charted on the Hot 100 and I enjoyed all of them, that left only 5 songs I hadn't heard so I thought I might as well hear the rest) and it's actually a pretty good album, 'Falling' and 'Golden' are particular highlights although 'Watermelon Sugar' is still my favourite song from it and from Harry in general. There's nothing on here that I absolutely love but it's mostly consistently solid. The 2 proper singles are actually among the worst songs on the album for me... (although my overall least fave was 'Treat People With Kindness', the backing vocals on that song are not the tea).
First 1D related album I've ever listened to in full, who'da thunk.
Nominated for Best Male and Best Album at the BRITs!!!! Amazing He's only the second X Factor act after Leona to be nominated for the latter
PERFORMING at the BRITs!!!
Just listened in full and wow this is so so so good!
So much variety on there and he sounds so confident and sure of himself.
The only other solo 1D album I liked prior to this was ZAYNs material but this is brilliant and I’ll definitely get the actual CD now.
Falling was a highlight from the tracks I’d not heard yet and Golden. But there’s not a single bad track on there. One of the best albums I’ve heard in a long while and Male artist wise it’s probably my fave album released last year alongside Lewis.
Really hope UK wise this can sneak a week at #1. It really deserves all the success it’s getting and the Brits nominations. Hoping it can even get Grammy nods next year.
It would be great if it could sneak 1 week at number 1 even,
Happy to see this has now went GOLD in the UK.
It has maintained a very steady chart life to date.

Wow Australian sales are so low, I dont just mean harry I mean in general.
Falling is a stellar single that has slowly built its success.
A top 10 placement would be deserving.
Number 3 this week, first week back to where it started.
I'm almost ashamed to admit that I've just listened to this album for the first time. I have LOVED the singles from this era so thought the album was worth a go. I was so impressed. He's got such a unique voice and he's crafted his own distinct sound brilliantly; it's nice to know that the singles aren't just flukes.
I WISH I could find a ticket for his 2021 tour somewhere; I am becoming a proper fan of Mr Styles.
I hope you manage to get a tour ticket Slick, I cannot WAIT to go seeing the secret show in London last December was electric and that was in a smaller venue, cannot wait to experience the album in an arena atmosphere.
The album is still such an exciting listen, too. The singles have been picked perfectly but there's so much to enjoy across the other tracks, it's varied but so cohesive, and I love that he's given some good thought to the tracklist as well - Golden and Fine Line are superb choices for album opener and closer.
I've listened to this album for the first time thanks to more time during lockdown and I'm really impressed! No skips at all and such a cohesive sound without ever dragging Bar the singles I'm really liking Canyon Moon, Golden, Treat People With Kindness and Fine Line! What's the first album like in comparison to this?
The first album laid some of the groundwork for this, I think. It's not quite as strong an effort (and there's nothing as epic as Sign of the Times on there) but I think it's worth a listen, if only to hear the progression from album 1 to 2. Other highlights for me are Two Ghosts, Sweet Creature and Ever Since New York
Here's someone else who's decided to listen to the album for the first time. I have to say I'm impressed. Even the odd song that seemed a bit weak at the beginning gradually built up into something decent. The three final songs are particularly good. Well done Harry
Suedehead listening to (and ENJOYING) a Harry Styles album, I never expected that We love to see it though!
I absolutely love this album (and Harry). I wasn't really a fan of his first record, but this one is incredible. Falling in particular really hits me, though it was Adore You that encouraged me to listen to it last year.
Yeah the level of quality is remarkable, his second record is so so good.
Harry on his own is better than One Direction ever were as a group!
As a solo artist he is appealing to an older age group.
He's appealing to all ages I think - the fangirls haven't deserted him, they're still just as on board as they always were, but he's definitely attracted new older fans along the way!
Fine Line has helped achieve critical acclaim too.
This campaign has been a masterclass in marketing and how to toe the line between a classic album rollout and one that is more suited to the streaming era.
^ Absolutely! If more artists could take Harry's lead instead of pretty much abandoning the era following album release, that would be great.
Predicted to go back in the Top 5 in the USA.
Lil Baby (Quality Control/Motown/Capitol) 65-70k, <1k

Both albums could reach UK platinum status around the same time if current sales of both albums remain the same.
Stays top 10 for its 38th week here in Ireland dropping 1 place to number 8.
Number 8 in Ireland this week and its 42nd consecutive week top 10 here.
Fine Line will be certified platinum by Friday week
It’s crazy how 42 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of the UK albums chart a mere 6/7 years ago would’ve most likely equated to sales close to a million, yet this is only just achieving Platinum. Is it time to lower the certification thresholds?
Out of the irish top 10 for the first time this week. Hard to know if lowering certifications would be fair as sales are low for a while now until they back dated it a bit but, I think lowering certifications could be a good move though but id recommend increasing certification on singles, a million seller these days is nothing now where as before it was a huge achievement.
FINE LINE - 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION VINYL BOX SET
£72.95
https://shopuk.hstyles.co.uk/collections/music/products/harry-styles-fine-line-1-year-anniversary-limited-edition-vinyl-box-set
That is very expensive but no doubt will sell.
The label trying to make up for the tour money they didn't get.
been really loving the title track recently, he really leaned into the indie influences — sounds like bon iver at first then heads into the national territory w the climax. so gorge
Golden is set to impact US adult pop radio formats on 26 October 2020 as the album's fifth single; I’m guessing it’s a worldwide release too with the music video out soon.
Back in the Irish top 10 again this week at number 9 after slipping out last week.
Is Fine Line confirmed platinum?
Is Fine Line confirmed platinum?
Yes - feel free to check the pinned chart runs & sales threads for any questions on those!
Fine Line retuning to the top 10 again is great for the album.
I think Fine Line will manage good sales in Q4.
Nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album in the Grammys! Watermelon Sugar is nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance and Adore You for Best Music Video. Sadly no record / song / album of the year nods but these are still Harry's first Grammy noms!!
Harry Styles re-arranged the tracklisting for Fine Line "100 times"
How songs are positioned on an album does make a difference and I welcome Harry putting in so much effort deciding it.
It's such a shame this didn't go to #1 with it being the best selling album of 2020 so far!
Good to see its sales up now in the busy december, this month will help push t closer to 350k.
Fine Line on over 350,000 sales and still Top 20 is such a stellar performance.
Harry's debut is also pushing nicely away from 300,000.
Fine line is also back in the Irish top 10. Fine line has plenty of legs left in it yet aswell, it will easily manage 400k now. It's great that fine line gas also helped to push up sales of his debut.
#2 in the mids! Fingers crossed this can reach #1 this month - I imagine Taylor will be safe for #1 this week but Harry could easily make it at another point as the release schedule is pretty dead (aside from January 15th).
SO EXCITING! #2 this week would make me very happy even if #1 is even better - I never thought it'd go above #3!
Happy that this is on course to outpeak #3 - it definitely deserves to do that! Fingers crossed for #1 at some point.
I know its probbaly only going to repeak due to very low sales but it has sold so well and had a great chart run it deserves to get a new peak.
After a long wait, Fine Line could achieve a new chart peak.
This album totally deserves to get a new peak! I would really like it to get to #1 it really deserves it but if not a #2 at least is better than #3. Sales are so close though it's only 61 copies ahead of Future Nostalgia and 89 copies ahead of Confetti either one of those could easily overtake.
The label should try and support the opportunity of a new peak and possible Number 1.
Sadly down to #4 now but the gap is tiny!
The top 4 could sway any way now among the 4 as the week closes out.
#3 in today's update, it still has a chance of #2 (sadly not #1)...!
And its 9.99£
The label should lower the price.
Def should lower the price to try and get those extra sales, really hope it can grab the number 2.
Its starting to look like fine line wont be repeaking after all , i think 3 will now be its highest, fine line has been consistently selling 5k+ for weeks now and he looks to be on track to make 5k sales this week aswell.
It's closing the gap on Little Mix so it has every chance tomorrow
I would greatly welcome a new peak in tomorrow's chart for Fine Line.
Woohoo a new number 2 peak.
Great stuff. I hope Fine Line can dark horse its way to a week at #1 at some point, but it even being #2 is very pleasing! The #3 peak just didn't feel right for such a big album.
Genuinely pleased for him getting a new peak at #2 suits the album more than #3 ever did!
I really wish this album to be Number 1 at some point.
Harry and his mgmt have done a perfect work with the album and its campaign. So only one thing they need is a luck.
With low sales and lack of new releases, Number 1 is not fully ruled out.
That said, the label need to try and help it there.
Fine Line should be a contender for Number 1 this week.
Not a chance, its number 5 with Little Mix at number 4 on 1,981k and Barry Gibb number 1 on over 8k, most likely to stay number 5 but could take number 4.
I meant 1,981 sales, my typo.
Number 5 this week and sales once again keeping close to 5k.
The king of consistency.
The success of Fine Line really helps set Harry up for an interesting third era and I think he will take his time following up Fine Line.
I enjoyed seeing his debut benefit greatly from the success of the era and there are positive signs both albums can easily reach 400,000 each.
Fine line is looking good for top 4 this week,
It's 4k behind #4, no chance of overtaking anything ahead. In fact, it could even end up at #6 with Chip overtaking.
Ya i just saw the sales update today and 5 will def be its highest with 6 looking possible.
When Fine Line was released none of us envisaged it would be Top 5 over a year later.
Fine Line sales slightly increased last week from previous weekly totals.
i mean hes really surpassed expectations, especially considering 'Lights Up' and 'Adore You' didn't really feel that BIG...
Adore You
NE (19/12/2019) | 11-12-26-7-9-12-15-14-10-10-13-10-14-17-13-13-16-13-13-17-28-23-18-17-22-23-22-51-54-54-68-66-70-81-77-79-86-90-94-99-x
Weeks: 40
Sales: 991,600 (rounded figure to 11/02/2021)

Gobsmacked that Adore You wouldn't feel that big - it's almost at 1m sales and had an absolutely gigantic chart run...
(And even Lights Up will be platinum before long)
it felt like a bigger hit in the US to me... AY I mean.
It was.. a very similar sized hit in the US
i think because he's british and it was hanging around the US pop radio for a long time... like 'falling' didn't really happen in the US as this one lingered for so long.
I think that's more just US radio in general, they didn't even bother with Falling as a single over there (the US singles are Adore You, Watermelon Sugar and Golden only)
HSHQ just tweeted that Harry's performing at the Grammys and deleted it...!
he's confirmed to be performing! Hyped to hear what's he'll do <3
Tweeted again!
Very appetising platform

66 weeks after release and the album still has Top 10 status
Looks like it will be staying this week aswell.
72 weeks later and fine line climbs 1 place to 8 here in Ireland this week, such longevity in the Top 10, This will easily manage 100 weeks in the top 100.
Fine Line in danger of losing its Top 20 consecutive run as it is currently placed at Number 20.

Hopefully he can win at least 1 award. Im also hoping Fine Line can hit 100 weeks in the top 40, i knew he is a few weeks off yet but i think its very possible.
Adore You won its Ivor Novello award!!!
Great result for Adore you. I hope fine line can hold on in the top 40, its had 93 weeks so far, its 46 in todays mids but hopefully it can be top 40 on Friday, id love it to have 100 consecutive weeks top 40, if it doesnt happen so be it as the album has done so well but hopefully it can hold on.
Fine Line back in the Top 30 last week.
Not sure i fit will manage 100 consecutive weeks top 40 now, it was number 40 last week on its 97th week and lots of new albums coming weekly now so it may fall short.
43 today so hopefully he can claw his way to the top 40 and get his 100th consecutive week there.
Harry's #FineLine has spent 100 weeks charting in countries like Australia, Sweden, Ireland, UK, Italy, New Zealand, US, Canada, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Norway, France and Portugal.

most of the charts will update next wednesday and he will reach the 100 wks
Delighted he managed it in the uk as it's been touch and go the last 2-3weeks, here in Ireland I knew it would happen as hes been holding around top 25.
Wondetful result for Fine Line.
It will be hard to sustain this week with so many new releases.
Ya big week this week with tons of new releases but you never know, ideally 104 weeks would be reached given him 2 years in the top 40 but the album has done so well and 100 weeks top 40 is a great result. Fine line should easily be certified double platinum mid 2022.
Is that in recent one? Wasn’t it eligible for the year before when he won for watermelon sugar?

Harry is well on course to achieve 2 years in the top 40 this week without the run been broken, he is 33 in todays mids so he should safely hang on in for fine lines 2nd anniversary.
After 106 weeks consecutively top 40 fine line slips out of the top 40 this week to number 41.
This was the week I was least worried about it slipping out of the top 40 in!
It will remain on the chart for a long time to come.
Double platinum this year too.
Fine Line is back in the top 10 here in Ireland this week at number 8,
The tour announcement has helped the album rebound nicely in the UK too.
#12 in the mids today!
The longevity of the album performance with more ahead is wonderful.
