Dappy's Rockstar was held back by Gotye's hit, and he would've had a second solo #1 after No Regrets!
Also Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger's impressive yet unlucky 7 weeks at #2! This post has been edited by hotchoc26: 30th October 2014, 06:21 PM |

There's no way Birthday would've beaten Prayer in C to number one. There were different sales circumstances

In 1998 and 1999, there used to be a lot of songs released the same week:
All of these songs debuted in the charts on week ending 03/04/1999:
Flat Beat's first week sales were of 283,000. The lowest weekly sale for a number one in 1999 was A Little Bit More by 911, which sold 75,400 copies on week ending 23/01/1999. It is likely that at least Witch Doctor had higher first week sales than that (though I don't have any data to confirm this) |

Well, Tiesto "'Wasted" never could have been number one so far in 2014. No wasted opportunies for Tiesto...

"Wish You Were Mine" would have had two weeks at number one if "Uptown Funk" wasn't rush-released

we have always said that The Sats do seem to pick the wrong weeks to release their singles
