I feel like Dua Lipa has had her time on the playlist now.
Surprised Sam Fender didn't make it to the A-list. Really enjoying that Celeste track, definitely the best thing I've heard from her so far. Hope they add Niall Horan next week but it looks like they're going to snub it - maybe because it's a ballad/not doing too well? |

Glad to see 'The Box' added, wasn't really expecting to see it here this soon tbh! A few other decent songs added as well but nothing else I'm crazy for ~ (not heard The 1975's new one yet, they seem to be all over the place stylistically this era so not sure what to expect of that, I ended up liking 'Frail State Of Mind' quite a bit so hopefully this will continue their return to form x).
Sam Fender dropped before getting to the A-List this time? ;o |

I agree with you about Sam Fender and Michael Kiwanuka though, they both seem right up Radio 1s street. Very happy with the additions today though, glad The Box has been added as well as Diamonds, Halsey and Celeste. Surprised that Trevor Daniel and Foals have both stalled on the B List, they both seemed like A List material. Finally, M4NGO, I know its not mentioned on the website,!but Ive seen a tweet and looked at what radio 1 have been playing in the last week and Heartless has definitely been removed from the playlist leaving Blinding Lights as the sole Weeknd song.

It is #1 on Spotify, not just top 10 xx but yeah, it's just a song that's got big through memes/TikTok while the label were pushing other songs as the official singles.
Interestingly the other Roddy Ricch song that's rapidly climbing on Spotify ('High Fashion') is actually also an album track, meanwhile the 3 official singles have still done absolutely nothing in the UK  and over in the US a third album track ('Peta') has also been doing better than all but one of the singles.

Radio 1 don't playlist non-singles so their playlisting does indeed indicate it's now an official single (unlike Capital)
