Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 21/06 to 27/06 chart

Jason Derulo seems likely to remain at #1 with what will probably be the lowest chart sales of the year. Entering the Top 5 should be Deorro's 'Five More Hours' (previously titled 'Five Hours', now featuring vocals from Chris Brown) and within the Top 20 should be Britney Spears' collaborative lead single with Iggy Azalea 'Pretty Girls'. Possible climbers include Rudimental's 'Never Let You Go' (following their performance on the one-off revived TFI Friday) and Ed Sheeran's 'Photograph'.

For only the second time this year, their should be a non-mover at #1 album spot in the shape of Muse's Drones. Contenders for the Top 20 include Adam Lambert's The Original High, Giorgio Moroder's Deja Vu, James Taylor's Before This World, Rixton's Let the Road, Sarah Cracknell's Red Kite and WALK THE MOON's Talking is Hard.

'Bitch I'm Madonna' to take advantage of low sales and shoot to #1 following its video premiere!!!!!

In all seriousness, predicting 55k-60k for Jason 25k-30k for Muse.

Posted by: steve201 16th June 2015, 09:00 AM

Id expect Muse to fall quicker than Florence & Mumfords for some reason - maybe below 20k.

Posted by: MrIndependent 16th June 2015, 09:05 AM

Adam Lambert for top ten in albums plz.

I love her but I hope Britney underperforms. Hopefully the worldwide underperformance of Pretty Girls will teach her not to release such shite the next single around.

Posted by: Mart!n 16th June 2015, 09:27 AM

Pretty Girls is as bad as Womanizer to be honest. "Waits for a frying pan"

Adam Lambert's album is probably the strongest of the new releases listed in the opening post, I reckon his album will be top 5 on the first mids, staying there is a different matter by the end of the week, the likes of Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith will probably hog the top 5 on low sales, hopefully his single "Ghost Town" edge into the top 40 just about.

Posted by: ḇreakaway 16th June 2015, 10:19 AM

Pretty Girls is definitely Britney's worst lead single. Still nice to see it in the top 10.

Posted by: AntoineTTe 16th June 2015, 10:29 AM

Using "bitch" in your song title is so off-putting - except if your The Prodigy biggrin.gif

The speed at which Muse sales were fall off last week could men lower than that.

Deorro yasssss. Doubt it'll hang on but I imagine it could be close. How are both doing on Spotify?

Posted by: buzz_person 16th June 2015, 10:41 AM

Quite surprised to see Britney/Iggy at number 5 on first midweeks. A lot higher than I expected. They are slowing down on iTunes now but still maintaining in Top 10 there. Pretty Girls might scrape Top 10 if iTunes numbers hold up/increase and make decent sort of presence on Spotify.

Posted by: Joe. 16th June 2015, 10:41 AM

Eek at Rixton selling only 3k, I'm sure frontloaded too. 7/8k max for the week. Done and dusted.

Zedd started at #5 too and ended at #14. I'm thinking similar fate for old Briterz.

Posted by: SKOB 16th June 2015, 10:42 AM

LOL at Mint Royale saying album chart is dull with 3 new entries in top 5 in midweeks

Posted by: LeeWallace 16th June 2015, 10:47 AM

I'm guessing Rixton will be dropped following the performance of their album? With the amount of radio support their opening sales are very worrying.

Posted by: Nick F1 16th June 2015, 10:50 AM

oh please Brinny stay in top 10

Posted by: Mart!n 16th June 2015, 10:51 AM

Tuesday mids are always a bit obscure, I wouldn't be surprised at some odd new albums at the lower end of the top 40.

Posted by: *Tim 16th June 2015, 10:54 AM

Disclosure are at 78 with Holding On according to that Mint Royale guy

Posted by: Mango 16th June 2015, 11:14 AM

I'm not surprised at Rixton's low sales, I listened to the album the other day and it's really not very good.

Doubt Briggy will hang on to the Top 10.

Posted by: MrIndependent 16th June 2015, 12:02 PM

Is 3.2k for the #5 album on a Tuesday really that low? Sounds about right to me.

I think it's the fact that it's Rixton's opening sales more than the fact it's #5

Well theyve certainly chosen a good release week for both his album and the single (which they also discounted to 59p as well).
I think they would be disappointed if it didnt make top 10, although sales numbers will be pretty poor I guess.

They will be. The only times I've seen sales be missing is due to Spotify or Amazon.

Can't see Britney reaching the Top 10 if she's on 9.6k when Zedd/Selena were on 10.1k at this stage and at the same position. Top 15/20 is a pretty good going result though, considering.

Posted by: SKOB 16th June 2015, 06:02 PM

Why not? I think they are quite normal. Pre-orders are not that high anymore as last year or two years ago.

Sales are dropping like stone compared to last year. Total sales are down 3-400k year on year, so that's visible on pre-orders too.

So it's official then, the UK are more interested in a solo album by the singer from Saint Etienne than the singer from Fun. I have no objection to that.

We haven't had an update since it was played. tongue.gif I doubt it'll do much to help.

Walk The Moon's album isn't performing as well as I thought it would and Nate Reuss's album which I quite like is sadly flopping

Posted by: SKOB 17th June 2015, 05:19 PM

Nate Ruess is not a really star on his own, no matter the quality.. Wish Fun. would come back with a pop banger.

Posted by: ˇbré! 17th June 2015, 05:21 PM

fun. aren't a particularly big name any more let alone Nate solo.

Posted by: Hadji 17th June 2015, 05:28 PM

#51, but you can browse the top 100 mids here:

Posted by: The Hit Parade 17th June 2015, 10:44 PM

Yeah, Fun. are just an act who had a couple of big hits and sold some albums off the back of them. No shame in that but it hardly makes them so massive they can be assured of successful solo careers. That's why Sarah Cracknell is doing so much better... Saint Etienne have never had a Number One but more of the people who do buy their records probably know the names of the band members.

Posted by: mr_aly 17th June 2015, 10:57 PM

I'd have thought Nate's P!nk collaboration would ensure his name is well known enough, although not enough to propel him to solo superstardom, and that was a couple of years ago now.

When I first heard 'Nothing Without Love' I thought that'd be a smash, something really went wrong here.

I heard that Weeknd song in the chart update (new entry at #37), I actually really liked it. ohmy.gif

'Pretty Girls' #8 today!

Yeh great track very Michael Jacksonesque - it should rise the chart with airplay!

Posted by: pippa 18th June 2015, 01:13 PM

The new Britney song is extremely weak, i hope it does not take up residence in the top 10 this week.

The issue as well is he sings through his nose. VERY whiney voice, how did he get a contract?

Any sign of Adam Lambert's Ghost Town in the top 100?

Posted by: Spinning Adam =D 18th June 2015, 07:23 PM

Looks like 5MH will remain at #2, maybe #3. Also with PG #11 already it could descend a little more tomorrow and probably end around #17/#18 thinking.gif
Yay for Kygo top 40! cheer.gif hopefully it can stay there officially. sob.gif to A&I flopping sad.gif

A lot of albums going up, must be the Father's Day effect. Anyhow I'm outta here.

Posted by: Doctor Blind 18th June 2015, 07:28 PM

Britney/Iggy only 133 copies ahead of #14 and losing ground by about 1000 copies/day so will be at least that low tomorrow, possibly 15. Then as low as 21 by the weekend I think.

Posted by: Ethan 18th June 2015, 07:29 PM

Looks like Deorro could be as low as #5 behind Jason Derulo, Major Lazer, OMI, and WALK THE MOON, despite being #1 on iTunes for most of the week~ sad.gif

Fantastic to see the lush 'Stole The Show' enter the top40 wub.gif

Where is 'Waiting For Love' today? Fingers crossed Avicii can make the top40 on streams alone~

Poor brave Fono sob.gif ~ please stay top100 cry.gif

Fifty-two. 8 places higher than this time last week. 824 chart sales below a T40 berth and may just sneak it (probably not though).

Posted by: Rush 18th June 2015, 07:32 PM

I doubt Deorro will be top 3 but I think #4 should be safe. Hope 'Stole The Show' keeps climbing. 'Pretty Girls' is beyond a lost cause sad.gif

Brit needs to move on with the next single ASAP. And put it on Spotify straight away. And do some promo.

Actually Chris Brown looks relatively safe at No. 2, Walk The Moon will definitely be a climber though into the Top 5. “Hey Mama” likely to get a record 5th consecutive week at #10 chart fact fans.

Oh, I thought it had slipped close enough to 3/4 to be overtaken. I would have preferred 'Lean On' to make the top 2 as it deserves the peak a lot more.

It has but its streaming is now rapidly increasing (up to #27 on Spotify thanks to early streaming availability), and thus will stabilise that fall from now on.

Posted by: Hadji 18th June 2015, 07:57 PM

Looks like Deorro will be the fourth person to lose a #1 due to streaming

More than likely. It doesn't help that no fathers will want the album either; I expect a tumble over the weekend.

Adam Lambert is holding up much better than I expected in the albums chart. Good on him. It's a great album.

Posted by: Mart!n 19th June 2015, 10:57 AM

Got a funny feeling Ed Sheeran will finish inside the top 5 on Sunday, pushing Adam Lambert to around 6-8. Shaping up to be a typical Father's Day top 5 albums.

Posted by: Hadji 19th June 2015, 11:06 AM

Ugh at Flo Rida back in the top 40 due to the 59p effect. Glad James Bay LIG is in the top 40 though. Can I also have Avicii's position for WFL please?

Posted by: Aphrodite 19th June 2015, 11:11 AM

Rixton falling fast, paul Simon will benefit from fathers day market and will def hold the same or climb by sSunday.

Posted by: AcerBen 19th June 2015, 11:51 AM

I'm not surprised the Rixton album is doing so badly considering it's been available everywhere else for months. If you were a fan why would you wait? Bonkers decision to hold it back so long. And also confused how that dreadful current single of theirs has had so much radio support.

Posted by: Spinning Adam =D 19th June 2015, 12:42 PM
