Could do two sets on a medium weight, and then one set on a heavy weight laugh.gif

Apologies for the late reply, been really busy lately with work! drama.gif

Yes it is indeed! What you do is say, work out how much free time you have thus calculating how many days per week you can work out. You would then spend the one day bulking (use heavy weights and less reps) and the other days on high reps but low weights. Although if I were you and can bulk easily, I would first do the bulking phase for a couple of months (or how big you want to get), before then switching to toning thus defining your muscles by doing cardio as well! happy.gif

I'm still gymming.. but I think my fitness/health is not where it needs to be. Only problem is that I'm trying to put weight on (and it's working) so doing extra cardio to get fit burns all the extra.. so catch-22 situation really for the time being.

Have you tried interval training? In theory a minutes sprint at high intensity and a minutes jog. Has the same lasting effect on your body as lifting heavy weights, plus you don't burn tons of calories.

There's a very simple way of pitting on weight - get older. It worked for me laugh.gif

Sounds amazing mate, what's your best time!?

I agree that training does release positive endorphins which relieve stress. Genuinely feel better about yourself after a good workout.

Gonna start doing a bit more exercise and eating a bit better from March, found out I'm going on holiday in September and want to trim down a bit (as I definitely won't be getting any action looking like I am at the moment! laugh.gif)

Remember, no such thing as 'toning' - you can bulk and gain muscle or cut and lose fat and show muscle already gained.

Furthermore, one CANNOT lose weight/ fat AND bulk at the same time. Whoever says that is LYING unless they are a. on steroids or b. a complete beginner.
