Top 40 Chart Commentary

Zara Larsson gets herself a second #1 single with 'I Would Like'. It becomes the first of the year following Hurts dropping out of the chart with last week's #1, alongside all of the other Christmas hits. Zara previously went to #1 with 'Lush Life' which spent two weeks there.

NVOY jumps to #2 with 'Make You Mine', a new peak for them. All the songs in the top ten reach new peaks this week actually except for former number ones 'My Way' and 'Extreme' which return to the top ten. The highest top 40 new entry comes from Lotus and SPYZR with Salt-N-Pepa and a remix of their 'Push It!'. It enters at #8 this week and is the first hit for all artists involved.

Also entering the chart for the first time are;
- French producer Petit Biscuit with Spotify hit 'Sunset Lover' (#20)
- Producer BLR (no idea what nationality he or she is) with 'NUNGWI' (#25)
- German producer WHTKD with 'Say To Me' (#28)
- Norwegian R&B producer Cashmere Cat with 'Trust Nobody' (#33) alongside Selena Gomez and Tory Lanez
- Belgian producer Yves V with 'Daylight (With You)' (#37) alongside Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman
- Rap trio Migos (from Atlanta) with Lil Uzi Vert (Philadelphia) on 'Bad and Boujee' (#38)
- German producer Marcapasos with 'Aicha' (#39) whose lyrics are sung in French
