 In a couple of hours, we'll know which countries are in which semi finals for this year's contest. 19 countries will go into Semi Final 1 and 18 to Semi Final 2. The Big 5 and Portugal will also be assigned semi finals which they must broadcast and vote in. All the semi finalists have been placed into pre-determined pots to try and eliminate so called 'neighbour voting' and to ensure a fairer playing field. Statistically semi 2 is much stronger, but I feel like lots of the promising national final entries/internal selections are all in semi 1! Interesting indeed. |
