In it's 9th non-consecutive week on the Top 40 Countdown by awardinary, British dance duo Duke Dumont & Gorgon City score their first #1 single with the truly uplifting anthem Real Life featuring NAATIONS. It is very rare that a song which has once left the chart would return and go to the top too, but in this instance it has been proven that it can happen. Both Duke Dumont and Gorgon City came on the dance scene in 2014 with their respective singles, three years later, and they have created a wonderful production. Avicii falls one place after just one week at #1, but for a third week there is no change for Gryffin at #3. Climbing up a place is More Than Friends and Dua Lipa slips to #5 in her 6th week on the chart, 3 of which were spent at the top. Track Of The Week this week is from J Balvin & Willy William whose Spanish single Mi Gente impressively contains no English lyrics but has a catchy bass line. It's up two places to #6 this week. Swish Swish enters the Top 10 for the first time to reach a new peak in it's 10th week. Jaded and Charli XCX both climb places in this weeks Top 10 too. The highest new entry this week is at #13 and was a song first released in 2016 in Australia, but a global push along with new mixes has put some new life into this dance record by Pnau and looks set for success in the UK very soon. New entries also within the Top 20 from Kungs feat. Olly Murs & Coely as well as Portugal. The Man. Other new dance entries this week come from Martin Jensen and offaiah. There are 5 dropouts this week and they come from The Killers, NEIKED, RAYE, Ella Eyre and Rag'N'Bone Man. Any comments made this week will be replied to in next week's chart. Please continue to show your support and I thank you for checking out my personal chart this week!

FABULOUS top 10 *.* Just heard 'Without You' yesterday on the chart and was very impressed, same with 'More Than Friends' and 'More Than You Know'. Hey Floater,1. Avicii feat. Sandro Cavazza – Without You [1] (1 week, 1 at #1) 2. Dua Lipa – New Rules [2-1-1-1-2] (5 weeks, 3 at #1) 4. Duke Dumont & Gorgon City feat. Naations – Real Life [18-27-38-X-29-8-6-4-4] (8 weeks) So glad to see them both back in the top 40, excellent collab 5. James Hype feat. Kelli-Leigh – More Than Friends [7-5] (2 weeks) 6. Kesha – Praying [1-2-4-4-6-6] (6 weeks, 1 at #1) 9. J Balvin & Willy William – Mi Gente [29-9] (2 weeks) This is super catchy but I can see how it might annoy people, glad to see quite a few Buzzjackers really enjoying it 10. Jaded – In The Morning [26-10] (2 weeks) Still sounding great and finally getting a proper push it seems 11. Charli XCX – Boys [13-11] (2 weeks) 16. Jax Jones feat. Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don – Instruction [18-13-10-8-15-22-23-23-16] (9 weeks) 17. Demi Lovato – Sorry Not Sorry [9-9-10-11-17] (5 weeks) 18. P!nk – What About Us [18] (1 week) 19. Major Lazer feat. Travis Scott, Camila Cabello & Quavo – Know No Better [13-8-4-14-14-13-15-16-19] (9 weeks) 20. ALMA – Chasing Highs [18-25-39-X-17-24-19-14-15-16-14-17-18-20] (13 weeks) 23. Arcade Fire – Everything Now [38-19-23] (3 weeks) 25. Little Mix feat. Stormzy – Power [14-16-17-9-2-2-5-7-6-10-13-17-25] (13 weeks) 28. Axwell /\ Ingrosso – More Than You Know [28] (1 week) 29. Zedd & Liam Payne – Get Low [34-33-34-39-29] (5 weeks) 32. Sigala & Ella Eyre – Came Here For Love [10-11-18-18-21-21-19-21-24-32] (10 weeks) 37. Yungen feat. Yxng Bane – Bestie [29-32-35-37] (4 weeks) 38. DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller – Wild Thoughts [16-19-23-26-31-38] (6 weeks) Great chart Andrew Glad you're a fan of three great dance songs around at the moment! I hope that you approve of my choice of #1 this week! I truly hope Jaded do get a proper push in the UK. Thanks for your comment this week! Hi! Hi BridgeCow,Amazing number 1 So happy that More Than Friends managed to debut top 20 yesterday!! Nice to see Mi Gente and In The Morning enter your top 10 What's taken so long for More Than You Know to enter? Glad it managed top 40 yesterday, can't believe Axwell /\ Ingrosso only have 2 top 40s Great Chart! I imagine, like me, you must be delighted to see More Than Friends enter the Top 10 today! Glad you're a fan of Mi Gente and In The Morning too! I hadn't really paid much attention to the latest Aswell /\ Ingrosso single until it entered the official chart, but it's pretty decent, and it climbs on my chart this week. Thanks for your comment this week! hi award! Hey Dobbo,Big debut from Avicii there! Good to see him back in the UK top 40 The P!nk song doesn't rank among her best for me but it's impressive she's still able to churn out the hits this far into her career More Than You Know is a decent song but not something I'd actively choose to hear, Sun In Shining remains their absolute best as a duo Ego was a little bit disappointing coming from a huge Ella fan, she needs some more dancey production on her singles as it seems to work well for her on featured tracks! Certainly great to have Avicii back in the charts again. My favourite from Axwell /\ Ingrosso is Something New from 2014. I agree on the matter about Ella Eyre, I think she's really more of a dance vocalist than a solo singer, and I think she should stick to working with dance acts like Sigala and Rudimental. Thanks for your comment this week! hi awardinary! Hiya Dan,amazing to see Without You at #1 here! Avicii is back good as ever, all his new songs are amazing! the P!nk song is okay, I think it needs a few more listens before I can really gauge whether I properly enjoy it. the new Killers song is good, it made my top 100 for a few weeks but never truly got into it. was great to see Axwell/Ingrosso make the official top 40, another good new entry here too. enjoying the Stefflon Don single, hope it gives her a solo hit. cool chart ~ I'm not blown away by the other tracks on his new EP but Without You is the standout single for me. The Killers were one group I always followed in the 00's but my interest has faded away in recent years. Incidentally The Man drops out my chart after a single week. I think Stefflon Don may struggle to do well as a solo artist, even with the likes of French Montana on her single. But we'll see. Thanks for your comment this week! Hi Wardy Hey Josh!Nice new entry from Pink here. It's not my absolute favourite track by her or anything but it's amazing how she keeps coming back with smashes so far into her career. I'm glad it's worked out well for her - I'm excited for the album now!! Loving the new Stefflon Don track too, it's so catchy and she pulls it off with loads of swagger and style. I hope this can be her big breakthrough hit Glad you like P!nk's new single, it's doing surprisingly well here in the UK right now. Would be nice to see a new female artist trouble the chats but I think Stefflon Don will struggle, but I hope I'm proven wrong! Thanks for your comment this week! Hey Awardinary! Hey Dexton,Loving Without You at #1 Avicii's best in a long time if you ask me James Hype, J Balvin, Jaded all climbing which is great I wasn't a fan of Mi Gente at first but it's growing on me each time I listen, and In The Morning is actually entering my chart this week thanks to you (I also heard it on the radio the other day, but mostly thanks to you) Great entries for Pink, The Killers, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, and Stefflon Don Great chart! I think you're right about Without You being Avicii's best in a long time, I didn't really think much of the latter few single choices from his last album. Glad to know I could have a small part in introducing you to Jaded! Thanks for your comment this week! Hi awardinary! Howdy Mango,ne.gif 1. Avicii feat. Sandro Cavazza – Without You [1] (1 week, 1 at #1) Definitely the better choice of song to push over the Rita Ora one although both are decent! Really liking the AlunaGeorge one too arrow down.gif 2. Rag'N'Bone Man – As You Are [24-19-30-40] (4 weeks) Great chart! Sounds like you're a fan of Avicii's new EP. I think for now Without You is the only standout track for me. I hope it can reach a new peak in the coming weeks with a radio push and an iTunes discount. Hoping you're right about Camila's new single, and what a surprise to see it feature on the official Top 40 earlier today! I too had hoped that Zedd's latest single would be bigger, but I see it's still in the official charts so there's still hope yet. Thanks for your comment this week! Hey Awardinary, Hi Harry,Quite a good number one! Glad to see Jaded take a huge leap into top 10 New Pink I am loving at the moment Shocked you like The Man tbh but yes Wardy Stefflon Don and Ella Eyre I like too! Congrats on how well Gryffin/Sinead went down in plug! |

Hi Wardy!
Nice choice of #1 Great to see it doing so well officially as well, since you asked abput if it had been on my chart last week it peaked at #44 a few weeks ago then dropped quite quickly Loving pretty much all the newies this week, Shenseea is a great vocal addition to the offaiah track, Wait is really growing on me, as is Feel it Still which I've found myself singing quite a bit over the last week! Great chart |

hi Wardy!
great #1 Real Life was quite unlucky for me to get stuck at #4 for three weeks but that's how my chart works. Was hoping Avicii would last a bit longer at #1 though but I guess you're not as much of a superfan as I. getting into the Gryffin song a bit now, good choice of BJSC entry. good to see James Hype, J Balvin and Jaded climb within your top 10 too. Chameleon is great, I already got into it earlier this year (made my top 20) so good to see it catching on to your chart eventually. I'm still a bit disappointed with the new Kungs song but it's starting to grow. Can't see it ever being a hit though. Good to see Offaiah make it here although I much prefer the original version. Portugal. The Man and Martin Jensen are also good new entries. great chart! |
