Normally I start up a topic where people can keep their lists of the films they've seen in the cinema over the course of the year...but for obvious reasons I didn't bother this year.
So, here's a place to keep track of any films you've watched this year. I'm on a mission to watch all of the Best Picture nominations but it's going to take a while as our release dates are so much later than the US. Anyway, here's my list - feel free to add yours below! 10th January - Pieces of a Woman 15th January - Ma Rainey's Black Bottom 16th January - Wonder Woman 1984 13th February - Barb and Star Go To Vista del Mar 15th February - Malcolm and Marie 20th February - I Care A Lot 6th March - Raya and the Last Dragon 21st March - Greenland 27th March - Zach Snyder's Justice League 2nd April - The Mauritanian 3rd April - The Trial of the Chicago 7 4th April - Judas and the Black Messiah 6th April - Mank 8th April - Minari 12th April - Nomadland 15th April - Sound of Metal 17th April - Promising Young Woman 18th April - The Father 29th May - Cruella 18th June - Luca 8th July - Black Widow 4th August - The Suicide Squad 11th August - Jungle Cruise 11th August - Free Guy 3rd September - Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 16th October - No Time to Die 21st October - Venom: Let There Be Carnage 30th October - Dear Evan Hansen 6th November - Eternals 16th December - Spider-Man: No Way Home 17th December - Ron's Gone Wrong 23rd December - House of Gucci This post has been edited by Nightcrawler: Dec 24 2021, 02:22 AM |

I'm also trying to go through the Oscar contenders or just in general, the best films of last year as I missed rather a lot! On my Easter break now so hopefully will be an ample amount of time x I've also been catching up on a few random ones that I've always meant to see!
Pre-2020: Lake Mungo Audition Ring Your Name Rango Booksmart 2020 onwards: Possessor Mank The Trial of the Chicago 7 Portrait of a Lady on Fire I would recommend Portrait... to any fan of cinema as a medium used to it's best quality, criminal that it got no nominations this year. |
