Strangely enough, there's already been a Legally Blonde 3, which was released as a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legally_Blondes, and was critically panned for having barely any connection to the first two films.
I rather enjoyed Legally Blonde, in spite of being outside its target demographic, but I can't see them re-bottling that film's magic 15+ years on (I haven't seen the 2nd one, so can't judge if it was good or not).

Reese confirmed on Instagram that this is happening!
I love the first film but I've never seen the second. If this results in another musical adaptation as good as the first then even more reason to watch.

I am so f***ing excited for this. I borderline hyperventilated when I saw the news on twitter. Legally Blonde is my favourite movie of all time, it’s legitimately my happy place.
The original writers are on board too which is very promising

I feel confliceted about this. Obv seeing Elle tackle some of the politics of today would be AMAZE but I feel its been too long since the last.

So a 2020 release is defo off the cards but the writing staff has been confirmed!!
Actually makes me more excited!!! I love Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor is behind Brooklyn 99 which is god tier comedy.
Guessing a 2022 release is going to be on the cards tho it would be perfection if they could release on the 20th anniversary of the original film next year
