Good to see Vampire Weekend still getting A-listed this far into their career (even though they'll never chart!)
Also, not sure why a Skepta song needs that long on the playlist in 2024 but there you go.
Boo at just a measly 4 adds and I don't really care for any of them apart from Artemas which is a tune!

Surprised at no Camila and Beyonce!

Posted by: Mangø 29th March 2024, 10:38 AM

Yeah thought they'd add the Miley collab or at least do a 'Tracks From' the album - which they haven't done for any album for a while so I'm wondering if they've scrapped those.
Less surprised at no Camila, they might still add it in the next couple of weeks but I equally wouldn't be surprised if they don't bother (unless it somehow becomes a hit).

Why is The Blessed Madonna out already? mad.gif

The Blessed Madonna off already!? Strange as ‘Happier’ is just starting to climb the charts.

I would say its the playlisting that's dry rather than music in general. There's loads of great tracks out atm.

I know what you mean but there's still plenty they could add if they chose to: Hozier, Kenya Grace, Zayn, Conan Gray, Jade Bird, Olly Alexander (maybe closer to Eurovision). I expect they'll add new Beyonce and new Becky Hill next week and possibly Leigh-Anne though I'm less sure about the latter.

Not for me. I listen to a load of different music and not much is grabbing me right now.

Fantastic to see Vampire Weekend added to the A List 16 years into their career, thoroughly deserved. Also why only 4 new adds?

Nice that some long running C Listers moving up especially the immaculate Maggie Rogers ❤️

Also echoing others with the strange move to remove The Blessed Madonna when it’s coming to be a decent hit!

Hey Mango, just letting you know the thread title has the previous week's playlist date.

Definitely hoping for a Hozier add in the coming weeks, remind me was he playlisted at all last year?

Arielle Free: Mau P - Beats For The Underground
Greg James: Beyoncé & Miley Cyrus - II MOST WANTED
Rickie, Melvin and Charlie: Hozier - Too Sweet

Sorry, been away for a few days so only just seen this but it looks like a mod has corrected it since?

Regarding Hozier, yes 'Eat Your Young' was playlisted last year, it spent 3 weeks on the B-list before being booted off.

Worth saying this playlist only actually runs Tuesday-Thursday after the playlist was abandoned over Easter Weekend.

Intrigued to see what songs move up to the A-list on Friday, there doesn’t seem to be much standing out on the B-list at the minute - maybe Michael Marcagi but that ship has probably sailed now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bryson Tiller and/or Twenty One Pilots being moved up to the A-list next week.
