I just listened to Chasing The Sun for the first time today. I think it may grow to be my favourite song of theirs yet, is a dancier version of Glad You Came, but pretty good!

The vampire concept seems rather thrown in. They posted it on their Facebook page and said something like "We hope you like the surprise ending." I was expecting Example or somebody to pop up, but no, they all got bitten. Woop.

The fact that it's an ep should have increased sales tbh, the price is much lower and the Ep itself has 10songs, most albums that get released have 10 songs.
They've had fantastic airplay, fantastic promotion (Voice,Ellen,American Idol etc). If this album struggles to pass the 200,000 mark, I think this will prove The Wanted are just not a album selling band, One Direction are certainly the most in demand boyband in America, had One Direction not came to America maybe The Wanted's sales will be higher? |

That is a disappointing estimation for them, especially when you consider the huge publicity they've had and that One Direction sold so much more in their debut week. I didn't expect them to sell massively though. I just hope it sells well overall and that the next couple of singles sell.

The problem is they've had one radio hit. It's a big risk to release an album after one hit single for a big star, let alone an up and coming band.

I'm expecting around 32,000+ what is quite poor tbh, One Direction still outselling them
 I'm sure had One Direction had The Wanted's promotion their album sales would be MUCH bigger. |

It's definitely bad in the context of One Direction. They've been quite the phenomenon though. Pre-One Direction, a British pop group getting anywhere near the US Top 10 would have been unthinkable for at least the last 10 years or so.
On the other hand, as mentioned, The Wanted have had fantastic exposure on top television shows. Couldn't have been better really. I don't believe the album was ever mentioned on programmes like American Idol? All the exposure seems to have benefited their single alone (which has now sold over 2 million), but it evidently hasn't translated into strong album sales. Will be interesting to see if they manage to save themselves with 'Chasing The Sun'. I guess they'll survive in the US if that becomes a hit, even if the album is "only" a low Top 10 success. Maybe they've shot themselves in the foot though, after recently slagging off Christina Aguilera. I sincerely doubt 'The Voice' will be inclined to invite them back again after they've called one of their coaches a "bitch" and implying she's ugly. One too many bitchy comments like that and they could find a few doors shut in their faces.

So they've continued with their bad attitude after saying Christina Aguilera is a "total bitch." I honestly can't even deal with their attitudes, just ridiculous.
 And now this: QUOTE I'm a backstage runner at The Voice and I've been telling all my friends about this new boyband acting like divas when they were on the show last week. Both Christina and Adam did NOT like them at all. The guy named Tom in the band asked Christina if she felt more beautiful now that she lost all that weight? We were all shocked! She didn't quite hear the whole question and asked her assistant if she heard what he said? But then Max jumped in and said "She is beautiful no matter what you say" in mocking kind of way. Christina's boyfriend Matt Rutler was also backstage and didn't like what he was hearing. Finally Christina said, "You boys better calm down and focus on yourselves." She walked off really mad when Tom came out and told her not to worry and that "Britney still needs to work on her looks too for X Factor. It must be all those drugs she is on." Christina was so mad! The rest of the evening Christina ignored them. The boys didn't understand why but then one of their assistants reminded them of the stuff they said earlier about Christina's weight loss and Britney's bad looks and drug taking. Nathan (who is also in the band) was really upset those things were ever said but the other guys ignored him. Tom said, "Why is she acting like such a bitch for?"
