BuzzJack Music Forum _ Pop _ Natasha Bedingfield - Roll With Me

Posted by: Prettylittlebry 5th June 2019, 06:35 AM

Firstly, I apologise if there is already a thread, couldn’t find it!

NB has revealed on Instagram that she has finally finished her new album and will be coming soon.
How do you think she will do in 2019’s climate? Has it been too long for her to get any ‘success’?

Either way, I’m excited for new music from her!

Posted by: Bjork 5th June 2019, 07:06 AM

she was so brilliant when she arrived in the music scene back in the mid 2000s, 2003-2004 I think, wasn't it?
it's a pity she lost it cos she was great and was a kinda international superstar, not just uk
songs like Unwritten or These Words were fantastic

don't think she can come back to what she had once (sadly) :/ but new music from NB is always welcome

Given how her last album performed 9 years ago (and wasn't even released in the UK), I think it's 100% impossible. It's a shame though as that was a damn good album!

I blame this for everything

Posted by: pippa 5th June 2019, 04:33 PM

Really cant see Natasha getting anywhere with new material.
She came and went so quickly regarding success.

Posted by: Juliano 5th June 2019, 06:36 PM

I'll Definately be looking out for it and having a listen but I don't see it impacting the charts, maybe low in some countries? Depends on the push I suppose.

Posted by: Eduardo 5th June 2019, 10:25 PM

Is there a place where all of her songs are listed?
She's in so many tracks as an featured artist, whenever I search I find a new song lol

I'm really happy for this new album, I hope she includes this song:

Looking forward to new music - anyone know if she’s signed to a label or releasing independently?

Posted by: Juliano 6th June 2019, 07:47 AM

I really loved her on Last Chance by Nicki Minaj.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 6th June 2019, 08:40 AM

Both her and Daniel faded so quickly despite both having initial big successes.

Posted by: slowdown73 6th June 2019, 09:45 PM

Flash in the pan and likely to stay that way sadly.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 7th June 2019, 11:02 PM

I loved her back in the day.

I think I liked NB the most of her albums.

Female Brit stars go one way or the other after debut era and she went the way of Jessie J and Pixie Lott in the sense their second album and in Jessie’s case third! Had hits on them but the album sales decreased.

Such a shame her success wasn’t sustained.

Did her third album not chart at all in the UK or was it just never released! Crazy it never got a release like a UK version of Leona and Glassheart what never got a US release.

For nostalgia I’d love to see her come back. Dido got a top 3 album this year and I never thought that would’ve happened so it’s possible Natasha could at least go top 20 esp with today’s sales!

We shall see smile.gif

Posted by: Bjork 8th June 2019, 08:38 AM

I think the 3rd album was never released in the UK (Strip Me was it called?)

don't think she was a flash in the pan cos at least she managed 2 top 5 in the US from 2 different eras, that's not uneasy achievement, so surprised then her disappeared

New single ‘Roller Skate’ out Friday.

Posted by: Eduardo 19th July 2019, 02:53 PM

I like it!

Posted by: Juan Carlos 19th July 2019, 03:19 PM

Her new album is called Roll With Me and it will be out on August 30.

Posted by: Prettylittlebry 19th July 2019, 06:43 PM

Tracks 15-18 are just acoustic versions, so it's 14 tracks really.

Posted by: Jonjo 19th July 2019, 07:39 PM

Diabolical.

I can't believe she's being serious. sad.gif

Roller Skate is absolutely awful mellow.gif

I like Roller Skate - future classic cheer.gif

Posted by: Voodoo 27th July 2019, 10:26 AM

The thread title should be changed.

Kick it isn’t great. A bit dull. Is it from the new album?

Posted by: Algernon Monqueef 2nd August 2019, 11:31 PM

Roller Skate is DREADFUL.

Posted by: Monzo 17th August 2019, 06:49 AM

"Everybody Come Together" featuring Angel Haze might be her new single. I heard it on the radio last night in a bunch of new releases. I like it, hope her album will be a success.

Posted by: tommie 17th August 2019, 07:21 AM

"Kick It" has been playlisted by Radio 2, so it seems likely it's the single.

Posted by: Algernon Monqueef 17th August 2019, 10:37 PM

My ears are still traumatised from Roller Skate to seek anythin else oot

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 19th August 2019, 08:52 AM

'Kick It' isn't that bad, although it's nothing spectacular.

'Roller Skate'... well.

Posted by: Prettylittlebry 19th August 2019, 10:41 AM

The official album artwork has been changed

Posted by: slowdown73 20th August 2019, 06:08 PM

Much better cover!!

Posted by: hermespice 20th August 2019, 07:01 PM

How do I get to change the artwork from my iTunes now ??? Does it do it automatically?? Because on my iPhone it’s still the roller skates cover

Posted by: slowdown73 30th August 2019, 09:59 PM

Very disappointing album. Boring and bland. Her worst effort by far!

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 31st August 2019, 06:59 AM

I used to be such a fan, but I didn't even realise it was out this week. laugh.gif

I'll get round to it... eventually.

Posted by: Monzo 6th September 2019, 05:27 PM

I'm shocked nobody cares about this album. It doesn't appear in any of this week's UK charts, not even digital top 100.

It wasn't even in the top 200 in any of the midweeks, so it's a Mel B-sized success story...

Posted by: Algernon Monqueef 6th September 2019, 05:44 PM

Where did it get in the end?

Not top 200 (which might mean less than 700 copies...).

Posted by: Algernon Monqueef 6th September 2019, 05:57 PM

Yikes and that's with streaming

Posted by: Mack. 6th September 2019, 11:28 PM

Ouch, that's really bad especially in her home country.

Posted by: slowdown73 7th September 2019, 05:34 PM

Not surprised it hasn’t done well. No promotion at all and a pretty dull set of new tracks!

Posted by: Atonement 8th September 2019, 11:21 AM

I did like the 'Roller Skate' single but 'Kick It' didn't do anything for me. I'll get to listening to the album eventually.

Posted by: Monzo 12th September 2019, 08:49 AM

In the States Natasha charted at number 36 indie albums. US sales (without streaming): 650. That could be higher than in the UK...

Another one

Posted by: Monzo 3rd November 2019, 11:50 AM

Natasha Bedingfield targets the German market, I guess. First she was side coach on The Voice Of Germany, then I saw her on a Friday night show and now she appears on Classical 90s Dance 3, versions 1 & 2 were top 10 hit albums.
