There are plenty of potential new entries on the singles chart, but this is 2016, it's anyone's guess as to what will actually make it in. We could see brand new entries from Ain't My Fault by Zara Larsson and #WHERESTHELOVE by the Black Eyed Peas feat. The World, as well as climbers from The Ocean by Mike Perry feat. Shy Martin, Trouble by offaiah, Millionaire by Digital Farm Animals & Cash Cash feat. Nelly, Toothbrush by DNCE, Side to Side by Ariana Grande feat. Nicki Minaj and False Alarm by Matoma & Becky Hill.

On the album chart, will any of the new releases from Ward Thomas, Freddie Mercury, Izzy Bizu, Sophie Ellis-Bextor or Wretch 32 among others be able to steal the top spot from Barbra Streisand?

Breakdown of the week
- Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted.
- Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm.
- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.
- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.
- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)
- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).
- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.
- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored.
- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

I predict the new entries will be BEP, Zara, Ariana, DFA/Cash Cash & perhaps Matoma. Can't see Offaiah quite bridging a 20 place gap just yet & as opposed to the majority of songs around atm it looks like Mike Perry needs to increase on sales rather than streams as it's not even top 40 on iTunes.

Sir Jamie T objects to this egregious snub!

Anyhow, very interested to see what the album chart will be like; good chance it'll either be Barbra or Ward Thomas #1, holding out hope for Jamie T to grab a Top 5 position! Wouldn't be surprised if the Freddie Mercury/Carpenters (which is another of the 'Nation's Favourite' things that apparently has a programme on ITV tonight) albums both did well also

That BEP re-recording must be the worst thing on Earth that has ever happened. Ewww!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why not just encourage people to buy the original and put the profits to charity? This is just SICK. It's not even on all outlets so what's the point of charity song you can't listen to or buy? laugh.gif

Hardly a surprise given he has had several compilations out over the years and that has always been stretching it given he only had 1 Solo Studio Album ( and the Album with Montserrat Caballe).
Also £12.99 is a little overpriced.

Surely The Carpenters have got to be a strong contender for #1? Jumped from #177 to #1 on Amazon after the TV show along with huge increases for all their other albums plus went Top 10 on iTunes.

The £1.99 Google Play promotion of the 'Suicide Squad Soundtrack' might be enough for them it to take the compilations #1

And Britney coming for that 2-46 chart run ohmy.gif

It's one for the fans I think, like the forthcoming Beatles album. The sales won't be brilliant but both will sell enough to satisfy the fans and make money for the label... though I'd be surprised if The Beatles album didn't make the charts.

The Beatles album will chart, pretty sure it's already top 10 on amazon, as for Freddie Mercury last I checked he was around 12 on amazon

Freddie all ready down to 56 on amazon , another example of an Album that should be priced more reasonably and is just attracting the die-hard fans initially.

Given that boost then yeah I think they've got a pretty good shot at #1 (also when I was in Morrisons the other day it was the only of the new releases I saw on display, though that might be different for other places)
