If there had been a Volume 2 of The Sound of Girls Aloud..., ... what would be your track listing? |

I was thinking about the direction they could have taken with a second Greatest Hits album if they'd not decided to go with the 'Ten' years theme, but instead released a Volume 2 of 'The Sound of Girls Aloud'. Here's what I've come up with!
Standard CD | Deluxe CD1 - The Hits, New Songs & Live Hits 1 The Promise 2 Call the Shots 3 Something New 4 Sexy! No No No… 5 On the Metro 6 Can't Speak French 7 Every Now and Then 8 The Loving Kind 9 Untouchable 10 Beautiful Cause You Love Me 11 Walk This Way 12 Sound of the Underground (Tangled Up: Live from the O2 2008) 13 Love Machine (Tangled Up: Live from the O2 2008) 14 Biology (Tangled Up: Live from the O2 2008) 15 Something Kinda Ooooh (Tangled Up: Live from the O2 2008) Deluxe CD2 - Fan Favourites & Rarities 1 Some Kind of Miracle 2 Graffiti My Soul 3 Wild Horses 4 Girl Overboard 5 Memory of You 6 Where Did the Love Go [Unreleased] 7 Our Lips Are Sealed [Cover version/Unreleased] 8 Wicked Game [Cover version/Unreleased] 9 What a Feeling [Cover version/Unreleased] 10 Bored Stupid [Unreleased] CD1 - Including all the singles released after The Sound of Girls Aloud, the two 'Ten' album tracks, and a selection of live versions of older hits... instead of including the original versions, because in this alternate universe the original TSOGA would have been kept in print, alongside Vol. 2!. The live tracks pad out the track list a bit with recognisable hits, but technically they'd have offered 'something new' considering that the 2008 tour audio hadn't officially been released in 2012. CD2 - Similar to the Ten deluxe CD in that I've included some fan favourite non-singles (I went with one track per album era), but my fantasy track list also includes some unreleased songs! I was disappointed in the Ten era that they didn't give us any unreleased songs like they did in TSOGA era. I listened to my order of tracks 1-11 earlier, and thought that it flowed quite well (although I stuck Walk This Way at the end because I didn't think it slotted in well anywhere... but I do think as a #1 single that it at least deserved to be included on a hits album). P.S. I almost included the live version of I'll Stand By You as well, but I listened to it earlier and they sound so ropey on it |

I love your tracklist, Jay! I'd definitely have invested in that *.*
I'd have quite enjoyed a standard 2CD set perhaps CD1 - The Sound of Girls Aloud, Vol. 1 (unchanged, as it was!) CD2 - Vol. 2 (stealing Jay's tracklist for songs 1-11 because I think it's great *.*) 1 The Promise 2 Call the Shots 3 Something New 4 Sexy! No No No… 5 On the Metro 6 Can't Speak French 7 Every Now and Then 8 The Loving Kind 9 Untouchable 10 Beautiful Cause You Love Me 11 Walk This Way CD3 - this is the deluxe only disc 1-8 - the same 8 deluxe songs from the original TSOGA 9 onwards - a selection of unreleased material! Just like what Jay had above. This way, you'd be buying a complete package of Girls Aloud material, the compilation would already have a #1 peak from 2006 and we'd only be adding more sales to its lifetime total. The only downside is the lack of opportunity for some fan favourite album tracks! |

^ Ooh I do really like the idea of it all being compiled together in one set! *.* I wish that existed!
My main qualm about Ten is that I didn't like the track list flow... I thought it was an odd choice for it go backwards by era, but in the order the singles were released in... The Loving Kind and Untouchable just seem too high up that track list! |

I love this track listing. You’ve reminded me just how many amazing songs they had. Girls Aloud were truly awesome ...
Girl overboard is easily my favourite song not released as a single. I can remember hearing it the first time on the bus back to Wales and gagged Ah Tangled up... And that tour in 2008 - don’t think I’ve seen anyone as many times as I’ve seen Girls Aloud |
