Sooo looking forward to this season - I think it's going to be the most exciting since 2009.
Williams look likely to confirm Renault test-driver Sergey Sirotkin in that 2nd seat after all the speculation over whether it'll be Robert Kubica, Paul di Resta, Pascal Wehrlein or Daniil Kvyat

Looks like we're on the hunt for a new 3rd driver then!! Not surprised this is how it played out. Kubica is fab for PR for them, and their Martini sponsorship, and then it does appear that Sirotkin was genuinely quicker on the data - does explain why Renault hesitated and pushed for Sainz as part of the deal to allow TR out of their supply deal.

Interesting there from motorsport.com on the McRenault adaptation that reveals a little more detail about the differences in packaging between the different manufacturers and then the impact that has on the car itself. Also explains why the Merc had to run with a long wheelbase last year compared to the Ferrari/Renault cars |

Following proposals Liberty Media have made to broadcasters to make F1 coverage more exciting...
1. Making the start time of European races an hour later in the hope of attracting a bigger audience - so a typical start would be 2pm in the UK, rather than 1pm 2. Races to start at 10-past the hour rather than on it 3. Bahrain to become a full night race rather than start at twilight 4. Improved engine sound from repositioned on-board microphones 5. Make the cars look faster with different camera angles and static cameras 6. Playing a soundtrack of music at occasional parts of the race 7. A highlights reel to play at regular intervals during the live broadcast 8. A potential deal with Netflix for behind-the-scenes footage |

Never hold a Grand Prix there again  4 - Oh wow. big deal 5 - Not the issue. Issue is the fact cars can't follow closely enough to overtake and that its basically a procession behind an overly dominant team lead by an arrogant prick 6 - This is why American's aren't allowed nice things. Stick to Nascar 7 - f*** me. No. Stick to replays of things that were missed because we're watching dickhead in clear air do literally nothing of note, or better yet show them in the first place 8 - As Jake says, this one actually has merit. |

Tbf Baku was the best race by a country mile last year although time will tell whether that was the exception rather than the norm (see Valencia 2012 as another example).
Barhain is usually a bore but the worst offender is still abu Dhabi, shocking that gets the season finale. |

The year before was such a disappointment. Qualifying was more exciting than the race which is why I’m inclined to think it’s more a Valencia than a Canada

I just think its sad that in all the years of "the picks" i.e. BBC/Sky and C4/Sky sharing, the Australian GP has never been live on the terrestrial broadcaster.

Alonso confirmed to be competing in WEC for Toyota this year and next due to the shift of the season to a summer to summer format meaning he'll get two shots at Le Mans.

So grid girls are no longer. Whilst I can see why this has inevitably happened I can't help but think the powers that be really should have been looking into about a million other things with the Sport first...

Not too sure what to think regarding grid girls. Interesting to see if other series get rid of them. First dart walk on girls and now the grid girls. F1 has always had glamour.
