I am hoping Chelsea win the final so that Abramovich gets what he always wanted (a CL trophy) and gets bored and moves onto his next plaything leaving Chelsea in the $h!t
Much as I loathe the bast*rds I am happy to see them win a CL if it accelerates the departure of Abramovich onto his next play thing |

As I said weeks ago, the final is taking place in a stadium renovated with £125 million of Roman Abramovich's money in 2002 to bring it up to top international standards. .... and remember what happened with the Italian Serie A two/three seasons ago.... Like a British boxer fighting a US World Champion in Las Vegas, I knew we had to thrash Chelski over two legs to beat Chelsea in the tie, as the rub of the green refereeing decisions would go Chelski's way, and indeed that is exactly what happened. so I suppose Abramovich paid Riise to head into his own net and for Reina to make a mess of saving Drogba's rebound, no way he should have been beaten at his near post |

so I suppose Abramovich paid Riise to head into his own net and for Reina to make a mess of saving Drogba's rebound, no way he should have been beaten at his near post Drogba's goal was pretty unstoppable, it was hit with so much power and it was a very well taken goal. Like I said, I think Chelsea going throigh was poor more play on Liverpool's behalf and being unlucky with some decisions and injuries, but these things happen in football. Liverpool have just got to get over this now and build for next season. Is disappointing and we could be here for ages debating on certain incidents, but the fact is they went against Liverpool and nothing can change that. Despite what people say as Liverpool being a one man team (well now two man apparently) I think we're a decent side with a good manager. There's still major room for improvements (wingers and full backs needed ASAP) but we've proved that we're easily one of, if not the best team in European football over the past four seasons. Just need to concentrate on the league now. |

Chelsea may have got the rub of the green overall, but was any decision as major as the penalty situation which too Liverpool to the semi's and the non red card that took them to the quarters. I think on the whole Liverpool can't complain about refereeing decisions when they've had the rub of the green too, and especially in the league (vs Everton, Aston Villa, Wigan (although Reina had stopped playing), Blakburn, Arsenal...)
As for 'Rafa Out', I can see where they're coming from. Last season they finished 3rd and reached the final of the Champions League. They were never going to finish top 2 but were always going to qualify for the champions league. He said he needed money to spend and he got it. Millions upon millions of £ were spent strenthening his squad brining in Torres, Babel, Skrtl, Benayoun, Lucas, Voronin and other youngsters for the future, unless I've forgotten anyone he only sold 3 players, two of which I'm guessing were make weights (Bellamy for Benayoun, Garcia for Torres)... Now he's had this money he's only made the semi's of the Champions League and had to take it to the last 8 games of the season to really look like fourth was theirs. Not once did they ever look like breaking the top 3.... If Sven Goran Eriksson has deliverd failure to Manchester City this season, then surely Rafa Benitez has delivered atleast the same? Benitez has made some poor buys I agree, but at the moment I think it's ludacris for supporters to want him out of the club, as to WHO would you bring in as manager? Mourinho is the only person I could possibly see and I don't like the idea of him being Liverpool manager. Benitez hasn't delievered yet in the league, but it's a case of finding that killer quality and turning wins into draws. It's only been in the 2nd half of the season where we've began experimenting with this 4-2-3-1 formation and it works against the smaller teams, but not the top teams yet and this is purely down to the fact we don't have the players for the system. We have no wingers (well decent ones) and no attacking fullbacks which is what you need for the formation to work. He's made some poor buys (but which managers haven't? all the other Top3 managers certainly have) but that's the risk you take sometimes. Also you've got to take into contention all this off-pitch stuff which really is one great big mess and before Liverpool can move forward then they need to sort all this out or else they'll never be able to compete with Chelsea and Man Utd in terms of funds. |

I love how peaople have been saying things like 'All English final? Both teams are full of foreigners!' trying to find some pathetic excuse...
Both teams will play more English players than Liverpool or Arsenal would, more than Barca would play Spanish, more than Inter would play Italian... |

the guy presenting You're On Sky Sports made a right mistake last night naming all of Liverpool's English players, he started with Steve Finnan

Nothing annoys me more than people saying the games "fixed" LOL It quite blatently isnt. Chelsea outclassed Liverpool overall, and as much as i detest to say it, deserved to go through.

Over the two legs Liverpool were the better side, i'm not just being biased but just about everyone i've spoken to agrees with me. Chelsea just have that extra bit of quality and it showed at times when they were able to put their chances away and Liverpool didn't. Fact is Chelsea should never have got the away goal at Anfield, but they did. Cech kept Chelsea in the tie in the 1st leg. Still nothing to be down-hearted by, Liverpool will pick themselves up and Chelsea had to beat us in a semi-final sometime. |

I'll be the first to say congratulations to Rangers for making the final Funny bit is Zenit St Petersburg are their opponents, and they're travelling from Russia to Manchester, and Manchester United/Chelski are going the other way for the CL final
