BuzzJack Music Forum _ Pop _ Adele cancels ALL tour dates and appearances

Posted by: Suedehead2 Jun 4 2011, 12:54 PM

Adele has cancelled the remaining dates on her US tour due to laryngitis. I'm inclined to agree with the fan who suggested giving up smoking might help.

I don't mean to be rude, but I hope this is a wake-up call for her to stop smoking. I know it's her own decision but I would try my best to if it was me....Hope she gets better soon.

It's her decision but a voice like that could deffo be ruined by smoking. I'm gonna have to agree as well, she should stop or she won't be belting them out long term sad.gif

I thought she did stop smoking, a couple months back, to save her voice... confused.gif

Adele loves her fags too much to ever give up. She should give up, at least until she's done with touring and all. Don't wanna p*** the US fans off.

DON'T LISTEN TO THEM ADELE.

For about a week and then she started back up again.

That woman better stop the smoking. Even though I doubt smoking causes laryingitis?

It's not exactly going to aid recovery though.

Sure thing, and it isn't good for your voice anyhow. Take P!nk, she can't hit her high notes like she could 8 years ago...

Plus smoking ruins your lung capacity.....

Posted by: Frank! Jun 13 2011, 09:09 PM

ADELE, HAS NO ONE TOLD YOU THAT SMOKING KILLS?!

Posted by: sjoerd.. Jun 14 2011, 01:30 PM

oh stop you guys, that girl is only 22, smoking isn't that bad for her so far!

do you people even think of the amount of stress that girl is under right now? being the biggest selling artist this year around the globe??
she is a soft, sweet girl and being that big in this industry is quite hard!

stress effects your body in alot of ways, even when you don't notice it!

Smoking is bad for her, whatever age...

Posted by: Slick Jun 14 2011, 02:54 PM

Ha. Yeah. He's totally right. She's only 22, therefore something that is proven to lead to many fatal illnesses just DOESN'T effect her. I'm so fortunate to be in that age bracket. Infact, brb, gonna run in front of a car. I'm only 22, I'll be fine.

Posted by: sjoerd.. Jun 14 2011, 07:12 PM

and you are only gonna respond to that?

your arguments are amazing, especially the 'running in front of a car' one!!

Your statement was utterly ridiculous. Smoking affects everyone the same regardless of age.

The car argument is as logical as your argument.

ALL remaining tour dates and promo appearances in 2011 have been cancelled. Such a huge shame, and it's quite selfish of her to not quit smoking because of it.

Posted by: liamk97 Oct 29 2011, 01:02 PM

So no X Factor performance? ohmy.gif Damn! sad.gif

Posted by: Karma Oct 30 2011, 01:52 PM

Such a shame sad.gif hope she doesnt lose her voice.

Posted by: Frank! Oct 30 2011, 09:58 PM

Hope she gets well soon and that it's nothing permanent...

I'm sorry. Selfish? Do you know how hard it is to give up smoking? It's an addiction and one she is probably trying to give up.

Aparently, Adele has been diagnosed with a vocal cord haemorrhage.
It's a trending topic on twitter

cry.gif One of the best voices of our generation...

If you click on the trending topic thing most of the tweets are actually people linking to an article denying that she has it so I'm not overly worried at the mo.

EDIT: Scratch that, they're denying she has throat cancer. The general consensus seems to be that she has a haemorrhage. But apparently it's very treatable so... yeah. I hope she's alright.

Don't start then there's no problem! laugh.gif

Aparently, surgery went well and she is recovering well.

Posted by: Liаm Nov 24 2011, 08:13 AM

I've read she'll apparently be OK in time to do the UK/US X-Factor finals ohmy.gif I highly doubt it as it sounds pretty bad for her but I'd love it to be true! She could be one of the duets too maybe? Although the likely final 3 is Marcus, Janet and Little Mix - none of whom suit Adele...

Posted by: Slick Nov 24 2011, 08:19 AM

That's a pretty quick recovery, is that true? I thought they'd want to give her as much time off as possible considering she is THE voice of the moment and it's just had surgery.

Posted by: RabbitFurCoat Nov 24 2011, 10:31 AM

X-Factor isn't important, I doubt she'll be doing anything before the BRITs/Grammys, they're the ones she won't want to miss.

Posted by: Liаm Nov 24 2011, 04:42 PM

It's now been denied she is performing, which I'm half happy with given she HAS to do the Grammys/BRITs.

Posted by: Karma Nov 25 2011, 02:08 PM

Oh I thought it was confirmed for X Factor Final (UK) ? sad.gif

Did think it was too good to be true.. its still soon after op.
