The Mole is an American reality game show that originally aired on ABC from 2001 to 2008. It is based on other versions of the original Belgian TV series The Mole that have aired in numerous countries. The Mole was produced by Stone Stanley Entertainment for its first four seasons. It was canceled but was later picked up again after a four-year hiatus. The fifth season was produced by Stone & Co. Entertainment. Netflix picked up the show after a fourteen-year hiatus. The sixth season premiered on October 7, 2022 and produced by Eureka Productions.

Following the same format as several versions of the franchise, twelve players are gathered to complete assignments to earn money for the group pot. However, one of the twelve is the titular "Mole", the one designated to sabotage the assignments and cause the group to earn the least amount of money for the winner's pot as possible. Every few days, players would take a multiple choice test about the identity of the Mole and the Mole's actions over the course of last few days. Once the test is complete, the players await their results in an Execution ceremony. The player with the worst score is executed from the game, while in the event of the tie the player who completed their test the slowest is executed. Contestants are eliminated until there are three remaining players (two genuine contestants and the Mole themself), where they must complete a final test about the identity and actions of the Mole throughout the season. The genuine player with the highest score is declared the winner and receives the group's pot. In the event of a tie, there is a second ten-question test assessed – and a further tie is broken by time on this element only.

The first 5 Episodes launched today on Netflix!

Woo! So excited this is back, The Mole was a MASTERPIECE in the 2000s, the Australian version was simply *.*

Great start back, probably one of the hottest RTV Casts ever. There wasn’t a lot of suss activity, nobody is really standing out at this point.

My guess after Episode 1: Greg or Pranav, but Greg stood out to me the most at sabotaging that first challenge. He would also make for a good diverse Mole to add into the history books.

Episode 2: alright the Prison Break was definitely really cool. A few suss thing’s definitely came up, but at this point it’s about figuring out who’s an idiot and who’s not, but throwing things. Greg definitely stood out to me again. Joi for being a pilot god DAMN she’s an awful communicator.

The second challenge, dead easy - but an interesting twist adding in the Exemption.

My guess after Episode 2: Greg or Casey, but I think I’m going off of Greg being The Mole. Perhaps too obvious?

Episode 3: lol Greg and Joi are so suss in this challenge. You’re a PILOT and you’re not going to go on the Plane. Ok lol. But thank you Will and Jacob for going shirtless on the Boat.
Greg has gone up a bit for me as well, you’re a certified Scuba Instructor, but he never touched the water until the last 4 minutes?! But he is still too obvious.

My guess after the end of Episode 3: Greg and Joi.

Episode 4: Joi SLAYED taking that $25,000 lol whhhhaaaatttttt. There is no way Greg or Joi are The Mole - it’s just WAY too obvious. They all hate each other too, this is so funny laugh.gif

NOT DOM MY HOT CANADIAN BEEFCAKE. Sad to see him leave so early! (which didn’t last long). They’ve had a previous Mole season where the Mole eliminated themselves, but knew there was a chance to return and came back. Could DOM BE THE MOLE?!

I guess that’s a good lesson on how these RTV shows have evolved, previous seasons they would have done anything for the money. Not so much anymore. Poor Dom.

The Bank Heist was very interesting. I would have killed the cash counting task.

My guess at the end of Episode 4: Greg & Kesi

I'm going to give Episode 5 a pass until next week, as Netflix is the worst on ending on a cliffhanger.

I'd go as far to say this is my fave Netflix reality show, soooo gripping and full of likeable people!

Joi is an absolute icon and I hope she wins or is the mole.

Agreed, this has been very good - and very positive response overall. They're already casting for a 2nd Season!

Episode 5: alright they were all really suss during that Train/Running/Car challenge. Joi really can’t read a map, can she? laugh.gif
Oh god and now Joi gets another chance to take money away AND earn an Exception? Queen.
This was the best episode so far and oddly enough, nothing suss from Greg.

My guess at the end of Episode 5: Joi & Avori

Episode 6: not off to a great start with Pranav leaving, he was one of my favourites. I think I’m off Greg being The Mole, he said it himself he’s trying to protect who he thinks is the mole.. it’s a good bluff he’s put up so far.
They all did very well in that rock climbing challenge as well.

My guess at the end of Episode 6: Joi & Kesi

Episode 7:
Kesi has definitely gone up in my estimation as The Mole. This pot is still sooooo low. $69,000?! The Mole is definitely doing a good job.
Shithole Mole? Joi is iconic.

My guess at the end of Episode 7: Joi & Kesi

Episode 8:
Jacob vs Joi is so hilarious. She’s totally right tho, he’s either The Mole or Completely Useless.
I love this Top 6. They just feel right for this season.
Annnddd… Greg is out! I’m not floored, but I did think he was The Mole half the time. I definitely didn’t in the episodes this week… but I wish he would have stuck around to the end!

My guess at the end of Episode 8: Kesi is my final choice for The Mole going into the last episodes. I would like to see:

Mole: Kesi
Winner: Joi
3rd: Avori
4th: Will

I got so addicted to this that I’m desperate for the final two episodes! I can’t see past it being Joi or Kesi but I do lean more towards Kesi.

I have really enjoyed the group overall though and pleased with the ones that remain. The only one I wasn’t as keen on was Dom because of how obvious it was that he wasn’t the mole laugh.gif

Kesi is the most obvious I think. Definitely not Joi and not Jacob. I think Joi was playing a double bluff and I do think Jacob is just useless.

I thought it was Avori from episode 2. Could be Will too as someone who goes completely under the radar? He'd be the ultimate mole, but apart from that backpack challenge, I can't think where he has sabotaged at any stage.

Exactly… Will would be surprising but only because he hasn’t really sabotaged anything so he’d be useless at being the mole. I guess he triggered a laser in the bank challenge but that’s about it!

What a disappointing end to a great series sad.gif

Kesi did a good job, but ugh I hated Will and would've loved Joi to have got the money. She was silly going for Will, he made ZERO sense to be the mole.

Yep I’m really disappointed too. Joi would have been a classic winner but I agree picking Will is one of the dumbest moves of the whole season so she only has herself to blame

I can’t believe Joi picked Will, especially after being paired with Kesi for those last two tasks that contained the most obvious forms of sabotage! She literally caught her removing the ice block 💀

Yeah I agree with the above which is why I don't feel too bad about it all, Will never sabotaged anything and was so desperate for the money throughout - why on earth would he have been the mole?! Ffs Joi, we were rooting for you!!!

I knew it was never Joi and she proved it by picking Will. Just like Jacob, they were both a bit too stupid imo for them to be the mole. I think Joi probably got psyched out in the end, but there was literally no pattern at all with Will throughout, no sabotages etc. so it seemed an odd choice.

Anyway great series, so glad they brought back a classic. Hopefully not too long for a Season 2! My only gripe with the ending is I would have liked to have seen both Will and Joi explain their reasoning for the final choices and when they suspected it.

A bit more of Kesi being the mole, including the Easter Egg clues we may have missed (some as early as the first few minutes!)
KESI'S BIRTHDAY BASICALLY BEING ALL OVER THE PLACE.
I think for me what cemented Kesi as the Mole was when she took the exception and was driving back, playing with the card, and flipped it over in the van. The back of the card said 'The Mole'.

Yes, disappointed with the final result - but overall what a great season.

Yeah agreed it was a really great series despite the end result and think it could get bigger/better in future series. It felt like a really fresh concept despite it being rebooted.

SO upset that joi didn’t take home the win. she was absolute tv gold. will winning was absolute worst case scenario lol.

loved this. my only gripe being that the mole has absolutely no stake in the prize money and never risks being discovered, which kind of undermines the whole concept.

Kesi was the obvious mole for a fair chunk of the game!! I can’t believe Joi was stupid enough to choose Will in the end, especially when she had been working with Kesi at the end a fair bit. Joi played such a good game and then just flubbed it at the end!

I felt like Will would win since the first episode, meh out of pretty much the whole cast I wasn’t that fond of him, he didn’t really play a good game or anything, he was just desperate to win.

This was such a good series, I agree it feels like a fresh and exciting concept despite being rebooted. I think if the Mole could actually take bits of the fund somehow, that would be even better, there’s little things they can retool to make it even better but I think it’s the most exciting and refreshing reality show I’ve seen in quite a while!

This was so much fun. I didn’t believe that Kesi would be the mole but it makes more sense now. Will didn’t sabotage enough in the end and I missed that. Very disappointing unlikeable winner but overall such a great series. Joi had such an amazing storyline throughout so she would’ve been much more fitting for sure.

My guesses were Will, Greg, Casey and Sandy throughout the entire thing, I didn’t quite think Kesi would be that obvious towards the end but in retrospect it makes perfect sense as she was the most meh player without any storyline in the second half at all and she kept surviving somehow :’)
