I’m not sure where it came from but I do remember reading that after Melanie C, Victoria was the most keen to stop Spice Girls activities at that point.

Always thought it was Mel B and Victoria who pushed the R'n'B vibe of the album and they were the driving forces of that era. |

And lets not deny the quality of music 😍 Quality control is her main problem tbh. There is a big chunk of songs there that I doubt anyone listens to ever. Her main problem for so many years was making music to chart or to sell than just making good music. I want candy, half of This Time trying to replicate FDOML success, a stage tunes album that she now ignores, collabs like Cool as you, songs to cash in on tv shows like We love to entertain you or that Asia's got talent song. Her best music, NS, BI, The Sea and Melanie C have always come about from just trying to craft a good solid album without the constraints of it must sound like this or that to sell, be included in something or tie in with sometjing else. |

Sorry where does this 'Victoria was done with it' coming from? She, together with Emma, was the most committed to the band at that time?? It is well known that Mel C was the one who did not want to release Forever and did not want to continue supporting the record or be a Spice Girl. That is even documented in their own documentaries. Yes it wasn't the same anymore, but Mel C dictating early in the year that was busy touring her album (her tour finished THE DAY BEFORE the album launch wtf) and not interested in the band was what killed it as they couldnt just go on with Emma, Mel B and Victoria. Mel B was just an idiot for releasing at the same time, but you could tell she wanted to be there, at the very least! Directly from the source herself Victoria says it in her autobiography. |
