Another Rihanna reject. Not sure about this one yet, definitely not as good as Cheap Thrills! |

I'm not sure what to make of what we've heard so far or of what's to come. I mean, the album tracks that have been released so far have been nice but, given 'Big Girls Cry' and 'Eye of the Needle' were the promo songs for the last album and ended up being among the very best of the album, I worry that these tracks are also representing the best of the album, which means the tracks we've not yet heard could end up being very disappointing.
Another problem is the fact she's singing from other people's point of views: it just means it lacks the personal emotion which made her last album so great. Obviously she wrote these tracks with other artists in mind, but it's not really a great sign when most of what we've heard are Rihanna rejects - it just poses the question of whether these songs are all that good in the first place if so many have been rejected by just one artist. I don't know, I just feel unsure of what to expect now after I had such high expectations after 'Alive'. |

Still better than anything Rihanna's released in the past 4 years!
I quite like it. |

I love Reaper, great chorus.
I think it will be a pretty strong album, everything we've heard from it so far is at least 8/10 for me, even if there's nothing as good as Chandelier or Elastic Heart. It's a strange concept for an album to publicly flog a package of 'rejects' but then for me Sia's rejects are far stronger than singles by a lot of major artists so I'm not too bothered by that. The songs may have been rejected by Rihanna/Adele because they were just looking for a different sound rather than just not being good enough, Sia-written songs essentially just sound like Sia songs, so the bigger a popstar Sia becomes in her own right, the less I think people will use her songs, for fear of just sounding like a load of Sia tribute acts. I wonder how this album will do commercially, I guess it could debut in the top three following the success of the last album. Quite astonishing for somebody who even five years ago had never managed to break through after well over a decade of trying. |

I think the album will go borderline top 10, or maybe just miss out.

Really? I hope it can sell more than 10k, which will surely be the amount required to debut in the top ten in two weeks time. I reckon No.6/7 at worst.

I can't see it doing initially hugely well in the UK but I really hope she's comes and promotes here some more, the British public seems to really react well to her performances.

I think on the back of 25 we can see it definitely wouldn't have fitted in with the sound Adele was aiming for! |

Another underwhelming effort. |

Who was 'Unstoppable' intended for?
It's alright, fairly mediocre. |

Yeah I'd guess at one of those, I've seen some articles on the song but none of have said who was it was written for.

Well she mentioned Demi as someone who rejected her songs but didn't specify who and I can't really see any others on the album that would be suitable for Demi... not that 'Footprints' particularly sounds like a Beyonce song.

My guess would be Kelly - they did a fair bit of writing for "Piece By Piece" and this screams "Invincible" to me! Probably am wrong though
