Theme: Crazy In Love
Guests: Matt Terry and Fergie

Double elimination both nights as well.

Posted by: BrookeOlivia 12th November 2017, 09:03 PM

Hopefully Grace does an original song next week, All her originals so far fit that theme perfectly.

Posted by: D0bz 12th November 2017, 09:03 PM

For real this time? I would guess at Sam, Holly, Cutkelvins & Rai-Elle all leaving then.

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 12th November 2017, 09:08 PM

Raie Elle OUT!!!!

Posted by: Liаm 12th November 2017, 09:11 PM

Definitely Sam's luck will run out, it depends f it's one from each category (I feel it might be) but if it is I think it could be Holly or Rai-Elle for the girls and Sean & Connor or Cutkelvins for the groups, then obviously Matt for the overs, depending on the song choices and when they're put in the running order.

I think it needs to be, Apparently only 6 live show weekends this year. 3 are already gone next week being the 4th and we still have 10 acts, Getting rid of 4 is a must now.

Posted by: Liаm 18th November 2017, 12:15 PM

Girls and overs tonight, groups and boys tomorrow.

Ir depends on the performances I suppose and whether it's one from each category but I really fell that it's gonna be Grace as a shock or Holly tonight along with 100% Rai-Elle. I can't see Matt going just yet :/ I feel like Sam could scrape by yet again if is bottom 2 and not one from each category, but Cutkelvins or Sean & Connor going wouldn't be a shock at all as I feel both have ran out of steam (well Sean and Connor didn't even put the kettle to boil for the steam)

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds 18th November 2017, 01:19 PM

Aaargh, at least one of my favourites will be going then. In a perfect world I'd choose it to be Grace, Matt, Sean & Connor & Sam, but unfortunately can't see Rai-Elle getting through this one sad.gif

Posted by: Nick F1 18th November 2017, 06:25 PM

Can somebody help me to find streaming link ?

What a daft prize dinner with Louie rotf.gif

Posted by: Jason 18th November 2017, 08:21 PM

Yes! Sam finally throw under the bus singing first. Goodbye boy tongue.gif

Posted by: Parallel Reality 18th November 2017, 08:23 PM

This is bad. Sam is well and truly under that bus.

Posted by: Jason 18th November 2017, 08:24 PM

Sam - He has to leave the competition tonight. I'm fed up with him. sleep.gif

Sam - 4.0

Posted by: SGrey 18th November 2017, 08:24 PM

He’s butchered this and should have included Jesy’s note. Diction and production was awful too.

Posted by: Jonjo 18th November 2017, 08:25 PM

Simon is desperate to get Rak-Su to record their own single, isn't he? Lmao.

01. Sam Black - Oops

Eek. Very monotonous. So bland. Oops indeed.

03.0 out of 10

Posted by: Mart!n 18th November 2017, 08:25 PM

That was bad, very karoake, first on, talk about been thrown under a bus, he be lucky to survive the vote today after last week.

Posted by: Nick Jonas 18th November 2017, 08:26 PM

What is this song? I’ve never heard it before blink.gif

Posted by: Mart!n 18th November 2017, 08:28 PM

Double elimination could be looking at the Brothers and Sam Black hopefully.

Rae Elle level bad!!!!

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 18th November 2017, 08:36 PM

Issues WRECKED

Posted by: Parallel Reality 18th November 2017, 08:37 PM

That was pretty good, for Sean and Conor at least.

Posted by: Mart!n 18th November 2017, 08:38 PM

God that was pretty awful, I've got an issue, please go home.

Posted by: Jonjo 18th November 2017, 08:38 PM

02. Sean & Conor Price - Issues

Ok. If that hasn't sealed Cutkelvins fate, then I dunno tbh. That was actually a very good performance by them. They're not stars in the slightest, but that was so much better than I imagined it to be...

Sean @ Conor - I really love this song and their version was really good imo.

Sean @ Conor - 7.0
Sam - 4.0

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 18th November 2017, 08:39 PM

This is a real bad year

Only Grace and Kevin are any good

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 18th November 2017, 08:40 PM

WHAT!!

Tone deaf, screechy yet flat. They should not be there.

Posted by: Parallel Reality 18th November 2017, 08:40 PM

Ignore

Posted by: Jonjo 18th November 2017, 08:43 PM

Yeah just speaking to my sister and I really don't care for any of them this year. I have a soft spot for Cutkelvins, but they'd be like 3rd faves in another year etc..

Ehhhh.

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 18th November 2017, 08:47 PM

Which week is the annual shock week btw - 4th?

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 18th November 2017, 08:50 PM

Well, that kevin prize was a waste - seeing as they are obviously producing their songs now anyway :rollwyws:

Posted by: SGrey 18th November 2017, 08:50 PM

The Cutkelvins. Liked their original but it does sound very generic :/

Posted by: Jason 18th November 2017, 08:50 PM

The Cutkelvins - I'm a fan, but it was their worst performance ever imo. sad.gif

Sean & Conor - 7.0
The Cutkelvins - 5.0
Sam - 4.0

Posted by: Jonjo 18th November 2017, 08:51 PM

03. Cutkelvins - Saved Me From Myself

I really loved that! Probably their best performance yet! So good! wub.gif

09.0 out of 10

Posted by: Mart!n 18th November 2017, 08:52 PM

Easily their best performance to date, loved it 10/10 after that I feel the Brothers are going.

Posted by: Parallel Reality 18th November 2017, 08:53 PM

I can imagine their records would be popular but I just can't take to Shereen's vocals.

Posted by: Jonjo 18th November 2017, 08:53 PM

The song kinda reminded me a little bit of Ella Eyre's 'Ego' a bit.

I get this and it's what stopped it from being a perfect 10 to me! As far as original songs on the show though... that's my fave by a bit of a distance.

It's a shame it won't go top 40 on iTunes whilst Rak-su and Grace will likely storm into the top 3 drama.gif

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 18th November 2017, 09:00 PM

Omg at Matt Terry

Always trust in the British public to make stupid decisions

Posted by: Jason 18th November 2017, 09:04 PM

Lloyd - The best of the night imo

Lloyd - 8.0
Sean & Conor - 7.0
The Cutkelvins - 5.0
Sam - 4.0

Posted by: Jonjo 18th November 2017, 09:05 PM

04. Lloyd - From This Moment On

The first key change was a huge balls up. But again another great vocal performance! He really does excel well above the others in that department this year.

His performance was good, my only problem where do you pigeon hole him, I probably say this every week, he is more suited to musicals/ theatre. Releasing singles in the chart will just go nowhere.

If he won, he'd do best to release albums around Christmas and Mothers' Day IMO. They'd probably sell well for these!

On the base of tonight's performances Sam and Sean & Connor to leave the show. Definitely 1 act from each category will go.

Posted by: Rossco 18th November 2017, 09:21 PM

The Cutkelvins relationship is just not normal! Very bizarre!

5 app votes for Sean & Conor. I'll miss them

Posted by: dandy* 18th November 2017, 09:23 PM

His albums could actually sell, if they market him straight away to Radio 2 (ala Michael Ball/Alfie Boe, Susan Boyle etc..)

Sam is 100% going and Rak-Su and Lloyd are 100% staying. I can't choose who else is going out of the other two? Cutkelvins were my fave, but I have a feeling Sean & Conor have a bigger fanbase than we think.

I know its tough between the Cutkelvins and the Price Bros, I just hope the public see sense, as I actually like the Cutkelvins over Rak-su anyday, but I know Rak-su are just heading into the final.

Posted by: Jonjo 18th November 2017, 09:42 PM

Sam Black went with Sean & Conor

Posted by: Mart!n 18th November 2017, 09:44 PM

Nah normally week 5, that's not every single year but week 5 has been Maria Lawson, Laura White and I'm pretty sure The Risk who were all the big shock exits and left week 5, but this series isn't even structured the same I feel we're due a shock exit

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 18th November 2017, 09:46 PM

Rae elle OUT

Posted by: cqmerqn 18th November 2017, 09:48 PM

So tomorrow is...

Matt
Kevin
Grace
Holly
Rai-Elle

Oh lord... I couldn’t predict it.

WANT to go: Matt and Kevin
THINK will go: Holly and Rai-Elle

Gonna say it will be

01 Kevin
02 Matt
03 Grace
04 Holly
05 Rai-Elle

Could go either way though, wouldn’t be surprised at a Grace exit.

Posted by: D0bz 19th November 2017, 02:36 PM

Correct people went last night although that was Sean & Conor's best so far ironically.

Rak-Su were my fave, bouncing back after last week's horror show and I liked Cutkelvins & Lloyd.

Tonight will be Holly & Matt leaving I'm predicting.

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 19th November 2017, 02:51 PM

Rae Elle and Holy.

Who won the vote?

Posted by: Liаm 19th November 2017, 03:59 PM

Haven't watched last night's and won't have time but I skimmed through the songs on Apple Music while I was doing stuff today and I only really liked the Cutkelvins one, and I guess Llod but he's not and never will be my thing to listen to in that way. Rak-Su were alright but the songs are always so generic and basic, catchy but never that fulfilling for me. At least with Grace's she writes about like herself nd her feelings, rather than being a physical manifestion of the phrase "ladz ladz ladz"

Tonight should be interesting, I feel like it could be a shock but it just depends if it's one from each category, did they say last night? Sean & Connor or Cutkelvins and Sam were pretty obviously going to be the bottom 2 anyway, it would never have been Lloyd and Sam, so either way would have been the same result. Buttonight I feel it could easily be Rai-Elle and Holly or even Grace, I suppose Holly would be a slight shock if she were to go. It's farer if it's just the bottom 2 because I hate the fact that say someone could be theoretically second in the vote but still be eliminated, like say it was Matt second but he went over Holly and Grace below him, that's stupid really, but ofc I'd rather Matt went because he is awful. He won't quite be second but I could easily see him getting more votes than 2 of the girls.

QUOTE(Buttered Muffin @ Nov 19 2017, 02:51 PM) *

Posted by: JosephStyles 19th November 2017, 04:17 PM

Posted by: Ryan. 19th November 2017, 06:19 PM

Posted by: Liаm 19th November 2017, 06:40 PM

Rai-Elle is a goner for sure, such a bad song choice.

Posted by: troylovesmusic 19th November 2017, 06:47 PM

Rai Elle actually sounds great from the preview as does Grace. Holly’s dosen’t sound too great from the preview I think she might possibly be in danger unless it’s better live of course .

Rae Elle ALWAYSS sounds shit as she is a joke act

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 19th November 2017, 07:01 PM

Also, PLEASE don't vote for the winner as they need to know no one is interested in voting for someone to have a dinner with Louis Walsh. He'd rather be sat there with Slavko anyway.

Rai-Elle - 6.0

Posted by: D0bz 19th November 2017, 07:38 PM

Bit of a strange song choice. Not bad, but she's 100% going tonight...

Posted by: Liаm 19th November 2017, 07:41 PM

I really liked that, but it was a bit cheesy and childish, it felt like it was like The Voice Kids instead of X Factor laugh.gif If the theme was say 70s, fine, but for it to be such a wide theme why give her such an old song when they always emphasise how current and sassy she is? She's definitely going anyway, if it was just one she'd maybe be ok but it's a miracle if she gets more votes than 2 people.

Rai-Elle 7/10

Posted by: Jonjo 19th November 2017, 07:42 PM

01. Rai-Elle - Mr Big stuff

She made that song choice work. Quite a few bum notes and shrilling, but I enjoyed it on the whole. A lot more than I thought I would when I found out this was the song choice.

02. Kevin - I Will Always Love You

Nice to see he "made it his own" but it doesn't do much for me. It was nice and good, but that's all for me. He was better the last couple of weeks. I think it might have sealed a win for him though. He seems to be getting more and more popular...

Rai-Elle definitely going after that performance. That song doesn't work at all for the show.

Think she is thinking the same, the close up during his performance of her face was priceless laugh.gif

Posted by: Mart!n 19th November 2017, 07:56 PM

I like the roughness of his voice on that track, it was not his best, I just prefer his performance from last week it was so breathtaking to watch. I just feel its just a safe performance more than anything, plus the track has been used so many times on X Factor. 6/10

Posted by: Liаm 19th November 2017, 07:57 PM

Yeah that wasn't his best for me, definitely a step down from the last two weeks. I think that song is just one that you have to be absolutely outstanding to sing, and one you can't really "make your own" without butchering it. Still way better than when Simon Cowell gave that song to Ben bloody Haenow laugh.gif

Rai-Elle 7/10
Kevin 6/10

Posted by: Jason 19th November 2017, 07:58 PM

I hate all this Simon Cowell manipulation. Kevin is the biggest Crap-Su threat and he knows it. dry.gif

Posted by: SGrey 19th November 2017, 08:03 PM

WHAT EVEN IS THIS? Awfully produced and far too shouty.

Posted by: D0bz 19th November 2017, 08:03 PM

That was brill, loved it.

Posted by: Jason 19th November 2017, 08:03 PM

Matt - He surprised me in a good way tonight ohmy.gif but even so, I don't want to see him going through. kink.gif

Kevin - 8.5
Matt - 7.0
Rai-Elle - 6.0

are these judges on crack?

Posted by: Liаm 19th November 2017, 08:05 PM

Jesus f***ing christ his "vocals"............... What on earth were the judges listening to? laugh.gif It's painful to listen to him straining any time a note has any semblance of power. That was absoluely terrible.

Rai-Elle 7/10
Kevin 6/10
Matt 1/10

Posted by: Mart!n 19th November 2017, 08:05 PM

What an awful performance, it was shouting all the way, just killed a classic track

Posted by: Jonjo 19th November 2017, 08:05 PM

03. Matt - Fallin'

Nah. Completely stripped it away of all it's magic.. wtf? I thought he was going to give it to us "raw"? :/

02.5 out of 10

Posted by: jase. 19th November 2017, 08:06 PM

I actually have a feeling Matt could top tonights votes laugh.gif

Posted by: Jason 19th November 2017, 08:08 PM

Holly Styles really? laugh.gif

Posted by: jase. 19th November 2017, 08:08 PM

Oh dear.

Posted by: Jason 19th November 2017, 08:10 PM

Holly - Weak vocals almost all the time and I didn't like this song choice.

Kevin - 8.5
Matt - 7.0
Holly - 6.5
Rai-Elle - 6.0

Posted by: D0bz 19th November 2017, 08:10 PM

Well that was a flat performance, definitely her going over Matt now.

Posted by: jase. 19th November 2017, 08:10 PM

Holly's so northern laugh.gif

Posted by: Parallel Reality 19th November 2017, 08:10 PM

Holly has a great voice but what even is this song choice?? It’s great as a duet, but - didn’t really feel that.

Posted by: SGrey 19th November 2017, 08:10 PM

Proper creasing at the Harry Styles moment rotf.gif

Holly took a while to get into the track I thought, but once it sped up it worked quite well. Definitely think she'd be marketed in a similar way to Ella Henderson.

Posted by: Jonjo 19th November 2017, 08:10 PM

04. Holly - Love Me Harder

WTF AT THE PRODUCTION? ARE THEY HAVING A LAUGH?? Yeah, last week was a fluke it seems. This is so empty, just like her other performances for me.

04.0 out of 10

Posted by: jase. 19th November 2017, 08:11 PM

Yeah that wasn't Holly's best. I'll be surprised if she doesn't go

Posted by: Liаm 19th November 2017, 08:13 PM

That production and arrangement was awful, Nicole was right for me, they give her these new types of songs that are meant to be different but her vocal always seems like she's singing a ballad so it can be a bit shouty and just never sounds right if she sings uptempos for me...

Her and Rai-Elle are going I'm thinking.

Rai-Elle 7/10
Kevin 6/10
Holly 4/10
Matt 1/10

Posted by: troylovesmusic 19th November 2017, 08:13 PM

Didn’t like that from Holly she sounded ok I guess but the peformance felt flat to me .

Posted by: Mart!n 19th November 2017, 08:13 PM

That track really didn't suit her to be honest, a safe performance overall. I feel Holly is going home 5/10

Posted by: SGrey 19th November 2017, 08:16 PM

Don't worry Grace were also cringing each week at how you write each of your songs and the inspiration behind them.

Very vanilla and doesn't make her stand out at all.

Think two of the girls are going but can't decide which thinking.gif

Posted by: jase. 19th November 2017, 08:16 PM

Not my fave Grace song

Posted by: Jason 19th November 2017, 08:16 PM

Grace - I wasn't excited to listen to another Grace original song. However, I liked her song this time and I think she's 100% safe tonight. ohmy.gif

Kevin - 8.5
Grace - 7.5
Matt - 7.0
Holly - 6.5
Rai-Elle - 6.0

Posted by: D0bz 19th November 2017, 08:17 PM

Hardly call that "uptempo". Not bad but not a standout performance from her either...

Overs winning it tonight comfortably.

Posted by: Jonjo 19th November 2017, 08:17 PM

05. Grace - Hesitate

Not a big Grace fan, but that was her best original so far tbh. She has some nice pop songs, I'm just not here for her fake croaks when she sings!

I'm gonna predict Rai-Elle and Grace will go.

Probably the best performance of the night, that track really suits her voice 8.5/10

Posted by: jase. 19th November 2017, 08:18 PM

Also predicting Matt will top the vote.

Posted by: Liаm 19th November 2017, 08:19 PM

That was absolutely brilliant, definitely her best since Roots imo! It was good to have her sing something a bit more uptempo that still felt like her, of course because she wrote it tongue.gif Best of the night for sure. I think any of them bar Grace could go tbh, I have a horrible feeling Matt will top the vote though :/

Grace 9.5/10
Rai-Elle 7/10
Kevin 6/10
Holly 4/10
Matt 1/10

Posted by: D0bz 19th November 2017, 08:19 PM

Yeah think Matt has a good chance but Grace will still top it just.

Voting 3x Kevin & 2x Matt.

Posted by: Mart!n 19th November 2017, 08:20 PM

I didn't like Matt's performance because it was too shouty for me, so I have to say Matt and I feel Holly is going, it was her weakest performance to date.

So I think Matt and Holly are leaving the show tonight

Raksu time which means MUTE.

Posted by: SGrey 19th November 2017, 08:32 PM

Grace got lucky, imo. She had far better performances in previous weeks.

It is utterly pointless having Grace vs Rak-Su. It's happened before, they've both written good solo material (well, Grace has) and this prize is wasted on them.

Also has anyone commented on how Rak-Su's original sounds a bit like the Macarena??

Posted by: Liаm 19th November 2017, 08:32 PM

This Mona Lisa is the worst Rak-Su song yet for me, it sounds like one of those itunes fake cover versions of Swalla :/

Posted by: kye 20th November 2017, 12:37 AM

^ i can't believe how much they messed with the backing track. like, that's the best thing about the song?!

-

i never thought i'd see the day but i feel like i'm totally over this now.. they need to change the format back. i'm all for change but they've changed everything that was good about it.

they're basically shooting themselves in the foot by having absolutely no catch-up value at all. you have 10-ish minutes to vote & someone leaves the same night?
why would you bother catching up saturday night on sunday knowing who's gone.. you just watch sunday's instead. it makes zero sense.
and the judges vote & going to deadlock was literally the most exciting part about the show.. WHY would you remove that? it always got them headlines & helped build suspense.

Posted by: Jay ☆ 20th November 2017, 05:17 AM

Rak-Su were my favourite act this week. 'Mona Lisa' is probably my least favourite of their original songs so far, but nevertheless it's still another catchy offering and I find them to be likeable as a group!

Lloyd & Kevin weren't as great as they were last week. Lloyd has a beautiful and effortless voice (overall he's still my favourite contestant), and Kevin always sings passionately - but neither song choice quite clicked for them imo. I really hope Lloyd has a brilliant song choice next week that provides "a moment"; I would love to see him make the final! He may not be typical X Factor in the sense of finding a "ready-made popstar", but I think his vocals are undeniable and I could definitely see him having a successful album. Lloyd possibly becoming the UK's answer to Josh Groban is a good call (I think Nicole said that).

I'm really struggling to warm to Grace. I've never been wowed by her voice and I find her unexciting as a performer, but she is a good songwriter and Hesitate is my favourite of her originals so far.

The Cutkelvins' song was quite good, but Shereen continues to serve wobbly vocals... I wish she had better control. sad.gif Her brother who started singing at the beginning is better, currently.

Eek at Holly. The production on Love Me Harder was bizarre and her vocals were too harsh - the performance just seemed really "off". A huge misfire! Rai-Elle's performance came across as a strange mix of dated & childish. I wasn't surprised to see either of them leaving the competition. That said, both were better than Matt murdering Fallin' drama.gif He definitely should have gone yesterday, alongside Holly.

The right two acts went on Saturday. I never understood the appeal of Sean & Conor (in fairness the brother who did most of the singing was reasonable by himself, but when both of them sang together they sounded dreadful... and the brother who did the rapping & grinned his way throughout them... just, no). I'd say this was their best performance of the four weeks, although that's not saying much. Meanwhile, Sam was so incredibly out of his depth throughout this whole process... it was overwhelmingly clear why he didn't make it to Six Chair in the first place. His rendition of 'Oops' has to be one of the most amateur contestant performances in the show's history? He was really off-time and he came across like he was (barely) going through the motions. It was certainly high time he left (and I'm still drama.gif that he stayed over Alisah last week).

Finally fast forwarded to the elimination wub.gif

Gotta hand it to the novelty act, she was composed and conddent whilst Holly showed herself up acting like that and now her last evee X Faccy photos plastered all over will be of her whingein.

THIS

It is absolutely atrocious

X Factor need to go back to their Roots next year, I'm actually starting to consider not bothering with it if it's going to be like this again.

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 20th November 2017, 02:35 PM

I stopped.

I fastforward everything except Grace and I never bother to catch up once finding out who went - excpet Rae Elle obviously

Omg - Holly even had the FAMOUS line, 'this isn't the last you'll see of me!!' - only One Direction were ever right about that when they said it!!

Next week's theme will be 'Rule Britannia' so basically any song by a British artist. All acts will go head to head in both nights and presumably there will be a single elimination each night. Will be on 19:30 both evenings. Guest acts are of course James Arthur and Ed Sheeran.

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 20th November 2017, 02:38 PM

How do they go head to head?? laugh.gif

Surely they do that every week? Lol

Posted by: danVember 20th November 2017, 02:39 PM

I mean all six acts will perform on the same night..

Also there will still be a prize fight apparently, between the top 2.

Posted by: Buttered Muffin 20th November 2017, 02:40 PM

Oh right - I was confused by the advert as well like, wtf?

The should have just said all acts will be singing both nights as they are head to head each week!

Yeah it's really... limp this series. Like I've missed a show or two and not bothered to catch up because it's so boring and the format is a bit bland, like Kye said because it all happens so quickly on one night, if you miss it you see who's gone on Twitter and what's the point laugh.gif With the results being on Sunday at least if you missed Saturday's show you could just watch the next day before the results and still join in watching the results. That was one of the best parts for me, the eliminations actually felt like an event with the tension of drama of the bottom 2 and judges' vote. Now it's just them getting chucked off at 20:58 and rushed off stage because I'm A Celeb needs to start laugh.gif The standard is really low too, like 2012/2013 low, there hasn't really bveen a contestant all series I've proper LOVED as a contestant, everyone had down moments or I just haven't taken to them. Grace is easily my favourite but she's not got that oomph or amazingness that I'd count her as a proper all time X Factor fave or anything.

I don't HATE watching now or I wouldn't bother, but if i miss a show now I'm not fussed and it feels kinda like habit or that I just have nothing to better to do than watch it. It tends to be Saturday's I miss if i'm going out, but on a Sunday night I'm never doing anything and I don't watch Blue Planet and tend not to bother with Strictly results because I always see the spoiler on Saturday night, so X Factor is just there to watch.

It really dosen’t make sense them doing a prize fight during the Semi Final especially with two leaving as well . As you pretty much know it will be between the two acts that win . huh.gif

Posted by: RobBob 20th November 2017, 04:59 PM

They'll make sure the top two will be Rak-Su and Grace to cement their ideology of what should be the top two come the final. What happens to the rest of them is a toss-up I'd say, though Lloyd is probably a safe bet for the final. Then it depends how they want to treat the other three.

So if there’s a prize fight still does that mean 6 perform Saturday and1 eliminated 1 wins so only 4 perform sunday ?
