Definitely Sam's luck will run out, it depends f it's one from each category (I feel it might be) but if it is I think it could be Holly or Rai-Elle for the girls and Sean & Connor or Cutkelvins for the groups, then obviously Matt for the overs, depending on the song choices and when they're put in the running order.

I think it needs to be, Apparently only 6 live show weekends this year. 3 are already gone next week being the 4th and we still have 10 acts, Getting rid of 4 is a must now.

Ir depends on the performances I suppose and whether it's one from each category but I really fell that it's gonna be Grace as a shock or Holly tonight along with 100% Rai-Elle. I can't see Matt going just yet :/ I feel like Sam could scrape by yet again if is bottom 2 and not one from each category, but Cutkelvins or Sean & Connor going wouldn't be a shock at all as I feel both have ran out of steam (well Sean and Connor didn't even put the kettle to boil for the steam)

Aaargh, at least one of my favourites will be going then. In a perfect world I'd choose it to be Grace, Matt, Sean & Connor & Sam, but unfortunately can't see Rai-Elle getting through this one

Ok. If that hasn't sealed Cutkelvins fate, then I dunno tbh. That was actually a very good performance by them. They're not stars in the slightest, but that was so much better than I imagined it to be...

I know its tough between the Cutkelvins and the Price Bros, I just hope the public see sense, as I actually like the Cutkelvins over Rak-su anyday, but I know Rak-su are just heading into the final.

Nah normally week 5, that's not every single year but week 5 has been Maria Lawson, Laura White and I'm pretty sure The Risk who were all the big shock exits and left week 5, but this series isn't even structured the same I feel we're due a shock exit

Haven't watched last night's and won't have time but I skimmed through the songs on Apple Music while I was doing stuff today and I only really liked the Cutkelvins one, and I guess Llod but he's not and never will be my thing to listen to in that way. Rak-Su were alright but the songs are always so generic and basic, catchy but never that fulfilling for me. At least with Grace's she writes about like herself nd her feelings, rather than being a physical manifestion of the phrase "ladz ladz ladz"
Tonight should be interesting, I feel like it could be a shock but it just depends if it's one from each category, did they say last night? Sean & Connor or Cutkelvins and Sam were pretty obviously going to be the bottom 2 anyway, it would never have been Lloyd and Sam, so either way would have been the same result. Buttonight I feel it could easily be Rai-Elle and Holly or even Grace, I suppose Holly would be a slight shock if she were to go. It's farer if it's just the bottom 2 because I hate the fact that say someone could be theoretically second in the vote but still be eliminated, like say it was Matt second but he went over Holly and Grace below him, that's stupid really, but ofc I'd rather Matt went because he is awful. He won't quite be second but I could easily see him getting more votes than 2 of the girls.

I really liked that, but it was a bit cheesy and childish, it felt like it was like The Voice Kids instead of X Factor If the theme was say 70s, fine, but for it to be such a wide theme why give her such an old song when they always emphasise how current and sassy she is? She's definitely going anyway, if it was just one she'd maybe be ok but it's a miracle if she gets more votes than 2 people.

I like the roughness of his voice on that track, it was not his best, I just prefer his performance from last week it was so breathtaking to watch. I just feel its just a safe performance more than anything, plus the track has been used so many times on X Factor. 6/10

Yeah that wasn't his best for me, definitely a step down from the last two weeks. I think that song is just one that you have to be absolutely outstanding to sing, and one you can't really "make your own" without butchering it. Still way better than when Simon Cowell gave that song to Ben bloody Haenow

Proper creasing at the Harry Styles moment
Holly took a while to get into the track I thought, but once it sped up it worked quite well. Definitely think she'd be marketed in a similar way to Ella Henderson.

That production and arrangement was awful, Nicole was right for me, they give her these new types of songs that are meant to be different but her vocal always seems like she's singing a ballad so it can be a bit shouty and just never sounds right if she sings uptempos for me...
Her and Rai-Elle are going I'm thinking.

Don't worry Grace were also cringing each week at how you write each of your songs and the inspiration behind them.
Very vanilla and doesn't make her stand out at all.

Grace - I wasn't excited to listen to another Grace original song. However, I liked her song this time and I think she's 100% safe tonight.

That was absolutely brilliant, definitely her best since Roots imo! It was good to have her sing something a bit more uptempo that still felt like her, of course because she wrote it Best of the night for sure. I think any of them bar Grace could go tbh, I have a horrible feeling Matt will top the vote though :/

Grace got lucky, imo. She had far better performances in previous weeks.
It is utterly pointless having Grace vs Rak-Su. It's happened before, they've both written good solo material (well, Grace has) and this prize is wasted on them.
Also has anyone commented on how Rak-Su's original sounds a bit like the Macarena??

Yeah I agree, they never used to do the same songs in the bottom 2 for example... I'm sure every act has a song they know like the back of their hand that they can sing in these situations, rather than the same song again

I'm glad they got rid of the "hype" build-up montages too, it used to be genuinely impressive stuff but in recent series they had to resort to Instagram followers or something irrelevant like that as a bid to impress the public.

I agree tbh. Ed is one of the biggest pop stars on the planet atm. I’m not a fan of ‘Perfect’ though. As for James Arthur, I see nothing likeable about him or his music at all? Absolutely no charisma either, not sure what the appeal is

Loved Graces song tonight, her original songs are vert memorable, i think at this point id like her to win but will settle for her coming second as i do think she has a great shot at having a career.

Kevin was the best just about in a 7/10 way but didn't wow me I was soooo disappointed by Holly's messy rendition of 'Love Me Harder' in particular as that song is an all-time favourite. Lloyd is my #1 with considerable ease now.

they're basically shooting themselves in the foot by having absolutely no catch-up value at all. you have 10-ish minutes to vote & someone leaves the same night?
why would you bother catching up saturday night on sunday knowing who's gone.. you just watch sunday's instead. it makes zero sense.
and the judges vote & going to deadlock was literally the most exciting part about the show.. WHY would you remove that? it always got them headlines & helped build suspense.

Rak-Su were my favourite act this week. 'Mona Lisa' is probably my least favourite of their original songs so far, but nevertheless it's still another catchy offering and I find them to be likeable as a group!
Lloyd & Kevin weren't as great as they were last week. Lloyd has a beautiful and effortless voice (overall he's still my favourite contestant), and Kevin always sings passionately - but neither song choice quite clicked for them imo. I really hope Lloyd has a brilliant song choice next week that provides "a moment"; I would love to see him make the final! He may not be typical X Factor in the sense of finding a "ready-made popstar", but I think his vocals are undeniable and I could definitely see him having a successful album. Lloyd possibly becoming the UK's answer to Josh Groban is a good call (I think Nicole said that).
I'm really struggling to warm to Grace. I've never been wowed by her voice and I find her unexciting as a performer, but she is a good songwriter and Hesitate is my favourite of her originals so far.
The Cutkelvins' song was quite good, but Shereen continues to serve wobbly vocals... I wish she had better control. Her brother who started singing at the beginning is better, currently.
Eek at Holly. The production on Love Me Harder was bizarre and her vocals were too harsh - the performance just seemed really "off". A huge misfire! Rai-Elle's performance came across as a strange mix of dated & childish. I wasn't surprised to see either of them leaving the competition. That said, both were better than Matt murdering Fallin' He definitely should have gone yesterday, alongside Holly.
The right two acts went on Saturday. I never understood the appeal of Sean & Conor (in fairness the brother who did most of the singing was reasonable by himself, but when both of them sang together they sounded dreadful... and the brother who did the rapping & grinned his way throughout them... just, no). I'd say this was their best performance of the four weeks, although that's not saying much. Meanwhile, Sam was so incredibly out of his depth throughout this whole process... it was overwhelmingly clear why he didn't make it to Six Chair in the first place. His rendition of 'Oops' has to be one of the most amateur contestant performances in the show's history? He was really off-time and he came across like he was (barely) going through the motions. It was certainly high time he left (and I'm still that he stayed over Alisah last week).

Next week's theme will be 'Rule Britannia' so basically any song by a British artist. All acts will go head to head in both nights and presumably there will be a single elimination each night. Will be on 19:30 both evenings. Guest acts are of course James Arthur and Ed Sheeran.

Yeah it's really... limp this series. Like I've missed a show or two and not bothered to catch up because it's so boring and the format is a bit bland, like Kye said because it all happens so quickly on one night, if you miss it you see who's gone on Twitter and what's the point With the results being on Sunday at least if you missed Saturday's show you could just watch the next day before the results and still join in watching the results. That was one of the best parts for me, the eliminations actually felt like an event with the tension of drama of the bottom 2 and judges' vote. Now it's just them getting chucked off at 20:58 and rushed off stage because I'm A Celeb needs to start The standard is really low too, like 2012/2013 low, there hasn't really bveen a contestant all series I've proper LOVED as a contestant, everyone had down moments or I just haven't taken to them. Grace is easily my favourite but she's not got that oomph or amazingness that I'd count her as a proper all time X Factor fave or anything.
I don't HATE watching now or I wouldn't bother, but if i miss a show now I'm not fussed and it feels kinda like habit or that I just have nothing to better to do than watch it. It tends to be Saturday's I miss if i'm going out, but on a Sunday night I'm never doing anything and I don't watch Blue Planet and tend not to bother with Strictly results because I always see the spoiler on Saturday night, so X Factor is just there to watch.

They'll make sure the top two will be Rak-Su and Grace to cement their ideology of what should be the top two come the final. What happens to the rest of them is a toss-up I'd say, though Lloyd is probably a safe bet for the final. Then it depends how they want to treat the other three.
