Dexton's Chart becomes 3 years old in May! Here's some interesting trivia to commemorate:
Perhaps the newest entry to the legacy of my chart is Australian singer-songwriter Tones and I. She first entered my chart with her debut hit, Johnny Run Away, which peaked at #3 on my chart. This single was also a BJSC entry for me however it failed to qualify for the final. I doubt she cares though because shortly afterwards Dance Monkey was released. Have you not heard Dance Monkey yet? Some may say that is a blessing but alas you need to get out from under that rock and bless yourself with undoubtedly one of the biggest songs of 2019. Dance Monkey soared to #1 here and spent a grand total of 31 weeks on my chart, 28 of which were in the Top 40 and 15 in the Top 10. An inescapable worldwide smash which set records both of my chart and across the world. Another legacy artist, Avicii, set a record for having the most weeks spent on my chart last year and shortly afterwards Tones and I matched that record! Two EP tracks, The Kids are Coming and Jimmy, both made the Top 20 here too and her newest single, Bad Child debuted at #1 just last week. It's clear that Tones and I is set to have an amazing future on my chart and despite her only having roughly one year of charting here out of the almost 3 I've been posting - she isn't going anywhere. Also note: Childish Gambino released a new album this week, however was only added to streaming services 2 days ago and got lost in all the chaos! I haven't had chance to listen to any of it yet so it will likely impact next week instead! This post has been edited by Dexton: 24th March 2020, 08:10 AM |

Hey Dexton!
Both your Top 2 have entered my chart this week and should become Top 10 hits eventually The Weeknd album is OK, not amazing but there are some great songs on it, and 'In Your Eyes' is probably the best one! Good to see 'Intentions' enter, really wish that would have been the lead single rather than 'Yummy', I think it would have been a much bigger hit. Great chart |

3 years of this chart already! coming up to 10 for me this year ;o
can't say I'm fussed on the new Tones and I single, I'll just be like the rest of the world and never move on from Dance Monkey then (which is top 10 in my YTD still). Caution is rather good by recent The Killers standards, it just about made my top 100 which is great for an indie track. In Your Eyes should hopefully be another big hit for The Weeknd, it's very much a standout of his new album alongside Hardest To Love for me. Say So I also like from your new entries. |

Both are incredibly songs! In Your Eyes could already be joining Blinding Lights as one of his best tbh - definitely a future Top 5 here at least! And officially hopefully Intentions could have been massive if it was the lead, although its still doing very well despite that Thanks! |

Hey Dexton!
Nice to see "Physical" reach the top 10 for you! I also like the debuts for "In Your Eyes" and "Say So" and speaking of the Weeknd his new album is also a great album for me, even though I'm pretty sure it's called "After Hours", not "In Your eyes" like you've put on your album chart, just sayin'. Either way, great chart! |

Im as shocked as you are never thought Id commit to this for so long, especially considering my overall activity on BuzzJack has gone down like 90% in the last year. 10 years is insane! Congrats! Dance Monkey remains to be topped but Bad Child is really great Hardest To Love is great from his album also, in fact overall its a very solid effort bar maybe 2-3 songs |

In Your Eyes is really really really good, Say So is good too (although I somehow ended up watching a string of Doja Cat music videos and they are... strange.) Also thanks! My bad! Thanks! |
