Light years didn't do great at all in Germany by looks if it. Great to see lots of love for disco down although I thought under the influence might have done better.

YDNY also had its own German version which would have helped.
The votes are more clustered than i expected for this poll as only 5 songs have managed to pick up votes so FAR!

I vote for Your Disco Needs You.
The only track I'd skip is Kookachoo. All the rest are superb.

Of course if 'YDNY' wasn't on this list, then I would have voted for the fabulous 'Disco Down', which of course is a fantastic standout moment on what's probably her best album to date. Packed with so many off the wall gems and most of the tracks could have made great singles or at the very least had some more music videos, I mean just think at how great it would have been if all the tracks had videos, like some sort of concept visual album (that would have been immense).

'DD' was a major missed opportunity as well as 'YDNY' not getting a UK release, it could have easily been an X-Mas double a-side with 'PS', which could have easily given a higher chart placing than it's ok #10 peak, I reckon it could have easily been a top 5 hit and helped the album sell more and then push out another single during the new year. Hell wouldn't it have been great if this had an MJ 'Thriller' type single releases with about 7 or more tracks being released, I know that's highly unlikely + not logical, but wouldn't it have been the greatest thing ever.

This is how I'd rank the album tracks =

Your Disco Needs You
Disco Down
Light Years
Butterfly
Password [Hidden Track]
So Now Goodbye
Under The Influence Of Love
Bittersweet Goodbye
I'm So High
Koocachoo
Loveboat

There certainly was further single options from the album, and a fifth could have possibly worked if it had received the right promotion.
Disco Down i would see as a missed opportunity, extremely radio friendly, and a catchy strong pop song in general.
Your Disco Needs You is a great but i can see why some may think its over the top camp and possibly too camp to have been a single.
That said, at the time it was rumoured prior to the release of Spinning Around that the lead single was Your Disco Needs You.

I remember reading that apparently the 4th single was between 'Please Stay' and 'Butterfly', but they went with 'Please Stay'.

There was limited edition CD singles of Butterfly available for a short while but are very rare now so that would tie that it was in consideration as a single.

Someday I hope to make some money on my one! Cowboy style is also another rare enough cd single.

Has anyone here the full Kylie collection and own every vinyl, cassette, cd, DVD release?

My Butterfly CD cost me £30 - they easily sell for £70+ now and Cowboy Style was about £8, again they sell for £80-90.

Nearly! Constantly adding to it though - I have all the UK/US/Australian releases - currently concentrating on back ups of UK releases and Japanese editions as they always seem to release CD singles of Kylie still.

The one thing in desperate for is the Mardi Gras CD single of ‘Dancing’ but they currently have a price tag of £600!

I was unaware Dancing was ever available o any cd single format.
Were many pressed?

I would not have a quarter of what you have in your collection. I do have all Kylie;s cd studio albums, and some reissues of albums and deluxe versionS.
I own 75% of her singles in one format or another and have many of her concert DVDS.

I would consider my collection large, have all the vinyl singles and albums plus various versions of studio albums and I also bought all the various greatest hits releases, live albums, remix albums etc. I also have all the dvds, old videos and a large amount of cd singles in addition to cassette album and singles. The only rarities type of releases I have are cowboy style and butterfly cd singles.

It was released as part of a bundle package for Mardi Gras in Australia - Limited to 1,000 and they sell for around £500+!!

A CD single of ‘Dancing’ was also released in Japan which I have as that was a more manageable £18 laugh.gif

There’s one on eBay for £585 at the moment - I’d go as high as £250 which is never going to happen as they seem to all sell for at least £500.

It is alot of money and possibly too much to pay out for what it is.
