Why are David Guetta & Manic Street Preachers releasing Euro 2016 songs now? Euro 2016 starts on the 10th of June.

I was astonished to see Stone Roses at #1 on iTunes this morning - my first thought was 'which one of them had kicked the bucket? I had no idea they had re-formed, let alone were releasing new material! ohmy.gif

I guess I should look beyond the sales figures to the music behind it, a bit more often... rolleyes.gif

Guetta featured highly on the front page 'Hot Songs' section now (Joe & Jake, Frans and OneRepublic are up there too)

Ooh that's pretty good for Frans! Should see him have a nice boost regardless of if he wins or not.

Unless it's the front 4 songs, I find the songs that you have to scroll for don't ever really have as much of an effect.

I thought I was seeing things Stone Roses at #1 this morning ohmy.gif I expect that Choir Song will probably fade away by Monday. OneRepublic track not that bad. I can't see the Manic Street Preachers doing that well to be honest, on the other hand David Guetta's track will probably do better when the footie kicks off next month. RegBoil please go away nocheer.gif

So much new stuff to listen to this week, we're being spoiled!

The Guetta/Zara song is basically 'Bang My Head' with new lyrics - very cheesy generic lyrics at that.

MØ - Final Song: Loving this, wish it can somehow become a hit!

Manic Street Preachers - Together Stronger (C'mon Wales): Never thought they'd do a song like this. Like the Guetta song, it's a bit cheesy but then again I don't think it's possible to do a non-cheesy football song is it?

OneRepublic - Wherever I Go: I'm liking this more than I thought I would, the chorus is quite catchy, and you know it'll be all over the radio for the next few months.

Reggie 'N' Bollie - New Girl: Surprisingly good! Thoroughly fun and enjoyable in a Fuse ODG song kinda way. I'd love this to get to No. 1 just for the lolz biggrin.gif
