Thanks to John Legend, #9 ended up closer to #1 than #10 18/24 of his votes were -4 or -5, and only one was positive (a +1). All the other songs received at least one +5 - The Pogues most of all with 7, followed by Wizzard and Mariah with 4.

I have not compiled an EOY yet but I'll probably work on that soon ~

Pahaha at the figure for John Legend. That has to be close to an all time low total and/or average? Richly deserved, begone Alexa inflicting completely pointless and borderline offensive cover versions on unsuspecting victims. Hooray for The Pogues comfortably winning (and winning for the second year in a row) also, perhaps the tide is turning against Mariah on BuzzJack what with it recently winning the Lounge's big Christmas songs rate by a decent margin as well ~

PS yes please at there being an EOY for 2019 even if it's just a stats dump - I'm fairly sure I remembered to vote every week this time!

Anyways, back to normality and back to a mostly pretty eh top 10 (though there have been worse).

'No Guidance' got a -99 this year, but otherwise I think John Legend has the worst score of 2018-2019, and probably the worst average too.

There's worse in the deep archives though. I've been gradually working on an all-time archive spreadsheet (I started from the 2009 beginnings 6 months ago and it's currently up to 2014) and there were several scores below -100 in 2013-2014 (due to high numbers of voters), the worst being a -129 for Enrique Iglesias' 'I'm A Freak' (with 39 voters). Average-wise, 'Leeds, Leeds, Leeds (Marching On Together)' in May 2010 did -4.63 - that's 12 -5s, two -4s, two -3s, and nothing higher. You were a -4 so you were one of its biggest fans Helping Haiti's 'Everybody Hurts' also did -4.14, Shout For England's 'Shout' did -4.00 twice, and among 'normal songs', Chris Brown's 'Turn Up The Music' did -3.94 once which is marginally more dismal than John Legend.

So I think the key to getting a record low is if Chris Brown covers a football song as an Amazon exclusive

I tend to assume it's just nobody's favourite Christmas song (except for your +5 ). 21/24 of its votes were between +2 and -3 with none at the bottom, and last year was only slightly worse.
