So... the last time there were two debuts in the top 2 was when "Roar" and "Applause" debuted at the same time. Both of them eventually reached #1, but can history repeat itself one-and-a-half years later? Three years ago, Carly Rae Jepsen blocked Conor Maynard from obtaining a UK #1 when "Call Me Maybe" held its ground as #1. However, Conor holds victorious as they both occupy the top 2 with their debuts, "Talking About" (his third song to chart, his third #1), and "I Really Like You" (her 2nd song to chart, first #1 for this era). So that means Conor's out of the running for the chart's 50th #1. Will it be Carly? Who knows. Zedd drops to #3 with "I Want You To Know", while Ariana Grande gains another top 5 with "One Last Time" at #4. This is Ariana's 6th top 5, the only one to not reach #1... yet. Wrapping up the top 5 is Tove Lo's "Talking Body", down 3 to #5. Conor and Carly are the only top 10 and top 20 entries. Two more entries enter the top 3, one of them being a debut. Deorro and Chris Brown debut with a new rework, "Five More Hours" at #29 (Deorro's first and Chris Brown's fourth), and Flo Rida jumps up with his new single, "GDFR" (Flo Rida's 3rd and Sage the Gemini's 2nd).

Two new entries jump into the top 40. Taylor Swift, fueled from her releasing all the bonus tracks off 1989, debuts AGAIN with "New Romantics" at #39. The one mover into the top 40 is Alesso and featured vocalist Roy English with "Cool", up 6 to #37. This is Alesso's third top 40. Two other songs debut in the top 50, rounding out the number to a total of 6: LunchMoney Lewis, a producer you might notice from a Nicki Minaj track, debuts with his first solo entry, "Bills" at #49. The other debut goes to Walk The Moon with "Shut Up And Dance", their first entry.

We're seeing a mass clear-out this week, as the greatest gainer only gained 6 spots. The biggest dropper this week is "I Don't F*ck With You", down 14 spots to #48. Ella's "Ghost" remains in the chart in its 29th week, down 4 spots to #42.
