This is... actually pretty bad. The "o-o-o-orange" bits especially.
Is this what she's pushing as the single (next single)? |

I'm probably alone on this but I can't stop listening to Orange Trees. It's just so laidback and fun. Nothing groundbreaking, but it works.

Insta advert has labelled it the next single.
This is easily the most instant of the tracks so far, so good |

Purely going off the tracklisting from the Apple Music preorder am I right in thinking that all the tracks we’ve heard so far are from the LOVE disc and we haven’t heard anything from the FEAR one yet?
Maybe disc two will be more classic Marina. I can see Orange Trees being a bigish hit by her standards though. It’s basic but it’s catchy and with artists like Marina it’s usually their more basic stuff that’s their bigger hits. Handmade Heaven is still my favourite from the era so far. Album release date wise she’s releasing the same week as both Pink and Catfish and The Bottlemen. I do hope she keeps her top ten streak though. I wonder if the Fear side will be similar to some of the Electra Heart material like Living Dead, Power and Control or Lies? I don't see Orange Trees doing anything though; I think her days of getting a charting single are gone. |

I don't mind Orange Trees, it's quite carefree and effortless. It's really not very stand out though so I hope it's not actually the next best shot at a single from the album, it's nice but kinda just there really.

I'm afraid Orange Tree sounds like a Mabel z-side and a cynical attempt at a trend-chasing Spotify hit a la CHVRCHES recent non-masterpiece with lord of late 2010s tackiness Marshmello. Won't do anything so pointless. I miss the fun and eccentricity of songs like Mowgli's Road, Oh No and #200 smash Power and Control. Having said that, I've only heard it once yet it's kind of lodged in my head. This era seems very, very bland and beige so far though.

I like ‘Orange Trees’ - It’s probably my favourite from this era so far. When I’ve listened to the three tracks she’s recently released, they kind of make me feel at peace/at ease. I think the love side of the album will be full of bops.

The song, like handmade heaven, has grown on me with multiple listens. Not that keen on the ‘o-o-o-orange’ but as tawdry has pointed out.
I think it’s time people stop expecting this to be another family jewels or Electra heart record. Her sound is now much more mellowed out, but still pop and melodic so fits marina’s brand. I am sure the record as a whole will still be great, Marina has never really been a singles artist (at least never translated into one ) |

boo so basically they're repeating the same (failed) strategy used with Froot, releasing 6 trackxsbefore the album but without really pushing anything, won't work again

I don’t understand the lukewarm/poor perception of ‘Orange Trees’, I think it is positive and catchy!! I can’t get enough of it at the moment.
