Glad to see 'You Got The Love' flop, and interesting that it's unpopular with others too. I've an irrational hatred for that song - would be the worst thing Florence has put her name to were it not for the Dizzee re-working.
I adore the 'Take Care' cover and regularly return to it, so that strikes me as underappreciated here, though it's got heaps of competition. 'All This And Heaven Too', 'Heavy In Your Arms', 'Heartlines' are 'Seven Devils' also great, but it pains me to see possibly my favourite three 'Ceremonials' tracks in that last section (surrounded by other absolute beauts too)  . 'Only If For A Night', 'Never Let Me Go' and 'Lover To Lover' are all just  . Regretting not voting now!

Also tbf I did bump up the thread letting people know when it was closing and its always been in my sig so Over two-three weeks was more than enough time. Im not psychic I cant tell who is a Florence Fan and not. I also am sure when I had access to plug I said that I was opening a rate so people knew it was coming

Lots of underrated gems in that 21-30 batch: Blinding, Hiding and, of course, Breath of Life are all amongst her best! Never Let Me Go and Lover to Lover are underrated singles too.
Overall, everything seems to be roughly as expected. I'm perhaps a bit surprised at how low Between Two Lungs & Seven Devils are. Really wouldn't have expected You've Got the Love to be so low at the start of the rate either, didn't realise so many weren't keen on it! The Calvin Harris remix of Spectrum is also lower than expected but I'm happy with that considering it is a remix, not matter how much I love it. I guess it is just Florence fans rating so I should have expected it! |

Ship To Wreck Average: 7.975 Highest Point: 10 (Liam, Dandy*, Bjork, HarryEzra and Delincuentos) Lowest Point: 5.5 (DicraDicra) Personal Opinion: I like to call this the ore angst filled sister to Shake It Out because Shake It out is about shaking of the demons that lurk within us whereas Ship To Wreck is about heading down a path of self destruction. The lyrics are so great and catchy I pretty much know all the words now. Im sad to see its underrated on Buzzjack but top 20 is fantastic. 20. My Boy Builds Coffins Average: 7.944444444 (7.94 rounded) Highest Point: 10 (Pavel, SeanGrey, Bjork and HausOfTravis) Lowest Point: 5 (Davidson) Personal Opinion: I do love the lyrical content of the song along with the atmospheric background production played mainly by the harps at the beginning for example.This Florence song may not my favourite overall but whenever I do hear it is a lovely listen I think due to how much of a easy listen it is compared to some of her more louder and their more powerful tracks. |
