RAYE) - Check (224pts) The creme de la crop of BuzzJack voted over 12 months! 196 songs voted for, but these are your absolute favourites! At #100 is a rare male led rap song that BuzzJack seems to sort of like, it hit #1 out of absolutely nowhere towards the end of last year and honestly, it's pretty good for it's kind of song! Dave is probably on for even bigger things next year as well. At #99 is Eurovision winner, Netta! She is, however not the Eurovision fave this year as 'Fuego' is still to come and is in the final voting stages. 'Toy' was known for it's quirky chicken like noises and it stood out from the crowd and became a very welcomed winner for Eurovision in 2018. At #98 is a song that was released towards the end of 2017 but didn't make it big until 2018, is RAYE's Decline which heavily samples Ja Rule & Ashanti's 'Always On Time', it peaked within the Top 20 and really lead me to believe RAYE was onto big things, but alas it wasn't to be and it remains her biggest hit single to date. At #97 is a somewhat of a shock, it's Years & Years with their big hit 'If You're Over Me' which saw them back to the Top 10 for the first time in years, after 'Sanctify' (which is still to come!) underperformed somewhat. It is perhaps a bit too generic for them, which whilst that may be fine for the public, isn't quite up to BuzzJack's taste. 2018 was the year of the soundtrack with The Greatest Showman, Mamma Mia and A Star Is Born all having #1 soundtracks and the biggest song by far had to be 'This Is Me' by Keala Settle which has become inescapable ever since it was released. It's empowering lyrics and uplifting message makes it easy to see why it was such a hit, strangely enough however, it is not the highest song to feature from The Greatest Showman on this list! At #95 is a somewhat of a comeback from The Weeknd, 'Call Out My Name' which hit the Top 10 but isn't all that memorable imo! I can't even really give an opinion on it! At #94 is Paloma Faith with a song that was heavily used in some car advert I think? It's a pleasant enough song but it's nothing life changing and Paloma is capable of better. At #93, surprisingly, is Eminem with 'Lucky You' off of his latest album which (thankfully?) I am yet to hear but I am personally in no rush to do so. We also have Justin Timberlake's flop comeback single 'Filthy' bizzarely feature fairly high as well as Kojo Funds with the aforementioned RAYE with their '7 Days'' sampling 'Check'. |

I am impressed that Dave made the top 100 (just) tbh! Also surprised to see 'Lucky You' and 'Filthy' in here, maybe they just had weak competition.
I don't think I voted in (m)any of the monthly rounds oops. Will do some votes for the final tomorrow tho. |

I actually never even heard 'Cigarette' oops, seems like the sort of thing that should have been huge based on the names on it but clearly not.

(249pts) 72 The 1975 - TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME (251pts) 71 Bazzi - Mine (252pts) At #80 we have Nicki Minaj with her comeback single 'Chun-Li', it was a Top 10 hit for her in the US but only got Top 30 here in the UK, however it feels like it was bigger than it was and I heard people quote the lyrics all the time, mainly 'they need rappers like me!'. A decent return for Nicki but we all know she is sadly capable of better. At #79 is the only member of One Direction to finish in the Top 100 with their solo material, Liam Payne's summer hit 'Familiar' was a latin inspired bop that went Top 20 but we have yet to have a proper follow up since. I would be surprised to see him get another big hit though personally! At #78 is surprisingly the 'comeback' single from Lana Del Rey in Mariners Apartment Complex which flopped hard, to me it is just standard Lana by numbers and nothing special at all but her fans seem to love it! At #77 is Mabel with her flop single One Shot which sadly failed to even make Top 40 in the UK! She has turned her fortunes around as her current single Don't Call Me Up looks set to be her biggest hit to date and I think it will feature highly here next year! At #76 is Janet Jackson's comeback single Made For Now which unsurprisingly failed to make any sort of impact anywhere It featured Daddy Yankee and was a bop we all deserved with it's care free nature and positive uplifting message but it sadly wasn't to be for Janet! I am surprised to see it high up but I'm not complaining! At #75 is Kylie Minogue[/i] with her 2nd single from album Golden, Stop Me From Falling failed to even make Top 40 even WITH a Gente De Zona remix, who would've thought?!  At #74 is one of the years biggest hits from [b]Drake in God's Plan, it understandably wasn't BuzzJack's cup of tea as it spent an incredible 9 weeks at the top spot and seemed like it would be there forever. As far as rap hits go, I didn't mind it as much as others and have come to appreciate it for what it is over time. I still think 'Nice For What' is still far better and it seems like many of you agree as that is still to come! At #73 is the comeback single from Troye Sivan in the euphoric 'My! My! My!' which gained him his first solo Top 40 hit, even if it was shortlived. I cannot wait to see him live later on next month to perform it live *.*. At #72 is The 1975 with the biggest hit of their current era, TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME. I can't really say too much about it as I don't think I've actually heard it!  Oops. At #71 is new artist Bazzi's debut single Mine which was a big hit for him in both the UK and the US, I personally prefer 'Beautiful' but it was easy to see why it became a hit! |

70 Craig David (ft. Bastille) - I Know You (254pts) 69 Billie Eilish - When The Party's Over (260pts) 68 Lady GaGa - Always Remember Us This Way (262pts) 67 Anne-Marie - 2002 (267pts) 66 Janelle Monáe - Make Me Feel (269pts) 65 Freya Ridings - Lost Without You (276pts) 64 Halsey - Without Me (287pts) 63 Jax Jones (ft. Ina Wroldsen) - Breathe (289pts) 62 Liam Payne & Rita Ora - For You (292pts) 61 Kylie Minogue - Dancing (293pts) At #70 we have Craig David's most recent hit in 'I Know You', an unlikely collab with Bastille. It scored Craig another Top 10 hit and is one of his better songs out of his more recent hits I think! At #69 is newcomer Billie Eilish with the unusual but stunning 'When The Party's Over', a delicate ballad similar to something Imogen Heap or Melanie Martinez would release - it looks like she is in for a massive year with 'Bury A Friend' becoming an instant Top 10 hit for her - I sense a massive year for Billie in 2019! At #68 is Lady GaGa with her 'A Star Is Born' soundtrack song 'Always Remember Us This Way'[/i] which got Top 30 but was overlooked somewhat by the amazing 'Shallow' which is also yet to come in this countdown. At #67 is [b]Anne-Marie with '2002', whilst I do think it's a cute enough song, she has become more and more unlikeable and it's a shame Her Twitter presence is annoying and her album was, for me, subpar at best. I'm actually surprised to see her this high!At #66 is Janelle Monaé with her amazing Prince inspired comeback single in 'Make Me Feel', a sexy bop that deserved so much better. Her album was truly one of the best of 2018. At #65 is queen of ACR avoiding Freya Ridings with the stunning 'Lost Without You', bringing a haunting ballad back to the charts that we rarely get. I do think she will be a one hit wonder however, or at the very best, do a Christina Perri and maybe get one more hit if she's lucky. At #64 is Halsey with her big breakthrough hit in the UK 'Without Me', often billed as her 'most personal song to date', I have been a fan for ages so it was so nice to see her finally get a hit. It's lyrically not one of her strongest, but it's just a solid pop song and sometimes that's all you need. At #63 is Jax Jones with 'Breathe' from the beginning of the year. Jax really can't do any wrong in my eyes - I've really enjoyed every single he's released since 'You Don't Know Me' and I'm excited for whatever he brings out next! At #62 is Liam Payne and Rita Ora's collab 'For You' for the latest Fifty Shades film. I was never huge on it as others were but it's a nice song and it's better than the screechy 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever' at the very least! At #61 is Kylie Minogue with her country inspired comeback single 'Dancing', although it didn't set the charts alight, it had a lot of fans on here and I like the feel/emotion of the song. |

It feels like one of those songs that whilst it was big is pretty forgotten about already, I like it but he's capable of better and still has 'Just Got Paid' to come as well! Talking of generic bops, Zedd with the help of Maren Morris 'The Middle' is at #59. Again, I like it but I think he can do better personally, I've never liked it as much as others have personally! At #58 we have 'Love Lies' from Khalid and Normani[/i] from the 'Love, Simon' soundtrack, even though it barely features in the film itself! A sexy brooding R&B love song that gets better with repeated listens and Khalid & Normani compliment each others voices perfectly! At #57 is [b]Mabel with the followup to her debut single, 'Fine Line' which was one of the most unfortunate #11 placing singles of recent years imo! Thankfully it looks like she's on to the biggest hit of her career with her current single 'Don't Call Me Up' which I imagine will do very well in the 2019 results! At #56 is surprisingly the highest song not to make the wildcard rounds, Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line[/i] with their country inspired hit single 'Meant To Be' which I really have never liked, Bebe sounds horrible on it and the lyrics are among the most basic of the year. I'm surprised to see it so high but here we are! At #55, kicking off the wildcard round results is X Factor flop [b]Louisa with her Dirrty inspired single YES which she infamously stripped and danced for radio label execs allegedly :') It was another flop for her even though it is a 10/10 bop imo. I doubt we will ever hear from her again now! At #54 is Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande with their collab single 'Bed', which I honestly thought would do much better chartwise due to Ariana's name power, but it just didn't happen. I honestly love the song and think it's better than any of Cardi's output last year but that's just me! At #53 is Benny Blanco and Calvin Harris' followup to the massive 'Eastside' (which is still to come) in 'I Found You'. I was really disappointed in it and wasn't surprised to see it flop at all, but it has fans here! At #52 is Little Mix and Sharaya J with their promo single 'Strip' which is honestly so much more interesting than both 'Woman Like Me' and 'Think About Us', it was a shame to see them not really go for it as a proper single. It did bring some good though, it called for Piers Morgan to get annoyed by the video and queen Jesy Nelson to clapback and call him a tw*t on live radio! Just missing out on the Top 50 is Avril Lavigne with her comeback ballad single 'Head Above Water', showing off her vocal range perfectly, it flopped everywhere but it has a lot of fans here! |

Head Above Water is stunning and will probably be Avril's last good song ever judging by the clips of her new album
Bed would have been so much bigger if it was Ariana ft. Nicki, I think. The same goes for Dance to This unfortunately. Weird that they both (and The Light Is Coming) underperformed literally months before her actual rise to world dominance that didn't quite happen after No Tears/God Is a Woman OH and Fine Line is another 2018 song that I'm just rediscovering!  That and My Lover were the perfect 1-2 hit for Mabel, it was a shame that her further singles underperformed but I'm glad that Don't Call Me Up has finally put her back in the top end of the chart!

'YES' coming last out of the wildcard round is well deserved, awful song. 'Strip' and 'Head Above Water' deserved better tho </3 |

50 Carly Rae Jepsen - Party For One 241pts (Wildcard) UK Chart Run: DNC Kicking off the Top 50 is BuzzJack fave Carly Rae Jepsen with her comeback single 'Party For One' which failed to light up the charts despite Radio 1 support It didn't stop us loving it though with her infectious self love anthem, it's what we love Carly for the most!49 Martin Garrix (ft. Khalid) - Ocean 249pts (Wildcard) UK Chart Run: 57-64-53-42-34-29-29-31-25-29-45-49-55-63-72-75-> 16wks At #49 is Martin Garrix teaming up with Khalid for 'Ocean', becoming a Top 25 hit in the UK for them both. I haven't actually heard this song before somehow! It's pretty unremarkable imo, Khalid sounds good on it but I struggle to see what's good about it really. 48 M.O (ft. Lotto Boyzz & Mr Eazi) - Bad Vibe 263pts (Wildcard) UK Chart Run: 71-74-60-55-50-27-23-24-26-23-22-21-22-20-21-20-18-25-29-29-55-60-57-64-58-64-58-64-67-74-> 28wks At #48 are my queens M.O with their highly infectious hit single 'Bad Vibe' which surprised all of us (including me) to go on to become their biggest hit to date, unfortunately it looks like it might be their last due to unfortunate circumstances regarding Nadine. They always seem to pull it around somehow though, so we will see! This is my favourite song of the year, care free, feel good and everything I love about the girls.47 Selena Gomez - Back To You 264pts (Wildcard) UK Chart Run: 39-29-27-23-13-14-16-19-21-24-50-58-70-69-> 14wks At #47 is Selena Gomez with her soundtrack single 'Back To You' from the second season of 13 Reason Why, much like the second season itself, it's fairly unremarkable and she is capable of much better. It's perfectly serviceable and inoffensive but nothing about it sticks out to me at all and is a fairly run of the mill pop song. 46 Jess Glynne - I'll Be There 290pts (Wildcard) UK Chart Run: 16-13-06-05-02-01-04-04-07-13-14-25-30-36-38-53-60-59-66-74-67-X-71-X-40-46-54-59-61-> 27wks At #46 is Jess Glynne with her comeback single 'I'll Be There' which scored her another #01 hit! It's just okay, she knows her audience well and knows how to create middle of the road pop songs that radio will eat up. I'm not a fan at all, but apparently some of you do like it! |

45 Juice WRLD - Lucid Dreams 296pts (Wildcard)
UK Chart Run: 69-53-39-23-18-18-19-17-12-12-11-11-11-10-13-16-31-35-40-42-44-53-64-73-74-> 25wks At #45 is Juice WLRD with his breakthrough hit 'Lucid Dreams' which heavily samples Sting's 'Shape Of My Heart', and became one of the few male R&B/Hip Hop songs this year that BuzzJack collectively agreed on. It was a Top 10 hit in the UK but was much bigger in the US where it peaked at #02 and is still in the Top 50 almost a year later! It'll be interesting to see how he does with future material, but for now, I see him being a one hit wonder. 44 Rudimental (ft. Jess Glynne, Macklemore & Dan Caplen) - These Days 302pts (Wildcard) UK Chart Run: 33-11-02-02-02-02-02-02-01-02-04-05-15-16-19-24-23-25-35-36-41-41-43-40-47-43-47-52-54-58-62-66-75-X-72-X-53-> 36wks At #44 is Rudimental with the help of Jess Glynne and Macklemore to become another #01 hit for them, even though it seemed for a long time they may have to settle for second place due to Drake's unstoppable 'God's Plan'. Again, for me, it's a fairly good song but not anything special and very beige, it clearly has it's fans, but it's not for me. 43 Shawn Mendes - In My Blood 305pts (Wildcard) UK Chart Run: 13-16-19-19-18-20-21-10-18-12-21-23-38-> 13wks At #43 is Calvin Klein king Shawn Mendes with his comeback single 'In My Blood' which managed to become his 4th Top 10 single in the UK. It surprised many by him releasing a heartfelt ballad as the first single from his album, but has become a fan favourite. I'm not a huge fan of his but the song is good for it's kind! 42 Jax Jones (ft. Mabel & Rich The Kid) - Ring Ring 309pts (Wildcard) UK Chart Run: 40-36-29-23-17-16-16-13-12-14-37-46-55-> 13wks At #42 is Jax Jones with his 4th consecutive Top 15 hit in 'Ring Ring' with the help of Mabel and Rich The Kid this time and became a fairly big hit over the Summer months! I know it gets a fairly hard time on here but I love that it's not in your face and is really infectious imo, Mabel makes it of course and is the perfect prelude to her current single 'Don't Call Me Up' 41 Justin Timberlake (ft. Chris Stapleton) - Say Something 290pts (Wildcard) UK Chart Run: 32-24-27-22-10-09-09-11-12-12-15-13-16-21-26-59-68-> 17wks Just missing out on the Top 40 is Justin Timberlake with the follow up to his massive flop comeback single Filthy in Say Something. I kind of forgot this happened so I'm surprised to see it high up here! I prefer Justin when he's doing R&B music, I'm not here for the Country inspired songs at all . |

Wow, I did not hear that news about Nadine from M.O, that's a bit of a yikes.
Juice WRLD and Justin Timberlake both impressively high here! Juice did have a new song entering the top 50 last week which probably has the potential to give him a second hit though I can't see it being near as big as 'Lucid Dreams'. |
