Biography

M.O
British girl group M.O. (not to be confused with Danish singer/songwriter MØ) rode the early-2010s nostalgia for all things '90s, evoking the look and close-harmony pop-R&B sound of U.S. trios like TLC and SWV. The group was formed in London in 2012 by Frankee Connolly, Annie Ashcroft, and Nadine Samuels. Wise to the vagaries of the music industry and determined to be true to their own musical influences, the group members wrote, choreographed, and self-financed their own material, working with a succession of hip underground beatmakers.

They first came to prominence on the popular online urban youth video channel SBTV, performing an acoustic version of Brandy and Monica's classic hit "The Boy Is Mine" with Lady Leshurr. Further appearances were followed by a slew of singles including "Hot," "Wait Your Turn," "Ain't Got Time," and "For a Minute," each of which racked up hundreds of thousands of YouTube hits and repeated plays on BBC 1Xtra radio. In 2014, M.O. signed a publishing deal with Universal, and had their first taste of chart success with the single "Dance on My Own." A pair of EPs, Good Friends and Who Do You Think Of?, followed in 2016, and the title track of the latter entered the U.K. charts.

Chip
Jahmaal Fyffe (born 26 November 1990), better known by his stage name Chip (previously known as Chipmunk), is an English rapper from Tottenham, North London. In 2009, he released his debut album, I Am Chipmunk, featuring four songs which peaked in the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, including the chart-topping "Oopsy Daisy". In 2011, Chipmunk released his follow-up album, the American hip hop-influenced Transition. It included the single "Champion" featuring Chris Brown, which peaked at #2 on the UK Singles Chart. - Wikipedia

Paloma Faith
Loyal
The Architect (Zeitgeist Edition) | 2018

6th Single
Released: 12th October 2018
Label: Sony Music Entertainment UK

Video

Biography

Paloma Faith (born Paloma Faith Blomfield; 21 July 1981) is an English singer, songwriter, and actress. Faith is known for her retro and eccentric style. Faith met her managers Jamie Binns and Christian Wåhlberg in 2007. Her debut album, Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? was released in 2009. It is certified double platinum in the UK. The album contains her first single, "Stone Cold Sober". The album also contains certified singles — "New York" and "Upside Down", both of which achieved a silver certification in the UK. The album earned Faith her first BRIT Award nomination in 2010.

In 2012, Faith released her second studio album, Fall to Grace, which debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. The album was critically well received and surpassed the success of her debut, earning her numerous award nominations in 2013. The album has been certified double platinum in the UK, and is overall the fourth best-selling album of the year in the nation. The album produced her first top ten single, "Picking Up the Pieces", the top twenty cover version of INXS's "Never Tear Us Apart" and earned her two BRIT Award nominations for Best British Female and British Album of the Year. Faith released her third album, A Perfect Contradiction (2014), which stands at her most successful album to date, also receiving a double platinum certification. The album spawned two top-ten singles on the UK Singles Chart — "Can't Rely on You" and "Only Love Can Hurt Like This" — with the latter topping the charts in Australia. In late 2014, Faith collaborated with Sigma on the track "Changing", which debuted at number-one on the UK Singles Chart and became Faith's first chart topper in her native country. Faith won Best British Female Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards in 2015, after being nominated for the category a previous four times. "Ready for the Good Life" was also released from the album, which featured as the official soundtrack song for Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie (2016). Faith's fourth album, The Architect was released in November 2017. The album debuted at number one in the UK, becoming Faith's first album to debut at the top of the charts, selling 40,000 copies in its first week of release. The first single from the album, "Crybaby", was released in August 2017.

She has also made feature film appearances in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Dread, the 2007 remake of St Trinian's and Youth. In 2016, Faith was announced as a judge for the fifth series of The Voice UK, but only remained on the show for one series due to her pregnancy. Faith gave birth to a daughter in December 2016.

They should be on set for a #5 debut. Not bad (and I can see the song holding up well) but not brilliant either.

Biography

Cadet
South London grime artist Cadet (aka Blaine Johnson) grew up alongside fellow MCs Konan, Krept, and Redz as part of the notorious Gipset gang. The teenage crew gained a considerable following across social media toward the end of the noughties with their videos of freestyles about gang life and London living. Using music as their escape, the members all focused on their careers, with Krept and Konan eventually signed to a major in 2013. Cadet continued to plow his own path, and in 2015 delivered freestyles for underground London-based music channel OSM Vision, and suddenly saw his profile skyrocket. Switching his tone from gang-related tales to emotional lyrics about life and its tribulations, Cadet found a new audience for his raps. In 2016 Cadet dropped his first mixtape, The Commitment. The self-released album saw him teaming up with the likes of Donae'o and Tis Rome. Continuing to deliver freestyles for various online music channels including SBTV, the rapper built up a respectable following. Cadet released a follow-up album, The Commitment 2, the following year. Featuring a number of singles -- including "Instagram Girls" and "No More Letters" -- the album cemented Cadet's rise from teenage tearabout to full-fledged grime star. - Spotify

Deno Driz
Social media sensation who rose to fame via his schoolyard singing on Instagram. He rose to stardom when his impromptu cover of Geko's song "Over and Under" went viral on Instagram in March 2016. He is a member of the music duo AJ x Deno. They released the song "Ride or Die" in 2017. - FamousBirthdays
