I love Harry. For me, One Direction = Harry Styles. Without him they'll be another Union J or District 3 to me. I can't fault him - great raspy voice, looks fantastic, fab personality, great sense of style. Actually I can fault him - those prison tats!! But I've got used to them and now can't imagine him without them.
1D's money-grabbers have missed a trick; they could make available whole albums featuring each member's voice, and I'm sure it'll sell well. I won't say I'm a 1D fan, but as i adore Harry I recently purchased "Midnight Memories" as I've been longing to hear him let loose on rockier, folkier music. I love the songs he features in especially the ones he starts (he makes the annoying "best song ever" listenable) and I never listen to "Through The Dark" as it appears he has no solo on it. A 1D song without a Harry solo? That's like christmas without turkey... can be enjoyable, but there's always a sense of something missing.

Apparently Harry is learning Hebrew after the director of the 'Story of My Life' video taught him of the Jewish culture. Seemingly all the boys are interested in the culture as well. Interesting.

Apparently Harry wants the group to switch the genre up following 'Midnight Memories' and become more of a rock band (says this article http://www.mstarz.com/articles/24310/20140105/kendall-jenners-boyfriend-harry-styles-one-direction-ditch-pop-music.htm), but Zayn and the others allegedly want to try and keep the pop sound.
Thoughts on this?
I think I would be able to cope with a new sound so long as it wasn't too dissimilar to the sound that they've created in 'Midnight Memories'. A mix of both really works though, so hopefully if this is even true it doesn't come to fruition.

His spokesman has denied it. I know it was a load of rubbish straightway as what he's allegedly wanting is what they've just done with MM anyway!

Harry thinks that 1D are not in the same league as The Beatles...
The 19-year-old star told Top of the Pops magazine: "We all sat and watched the film of [The Beatles]arriving in America. And, to be honest, that really was like us. Stepping off the plane, the girls, the madness. It was exactly the same as when we got there - just 50 years earlier.
"But none of us think we're in the same league as them music-wise. We'd be total fools if we did. Fame-wise, it's probably even bigger, but we don't stand anywhere near them in terms of music."
I'd have to disagree with him there, they're FAR superior and The Beatles are shit no matter how much of a "classic" they are.

That's probably the right answer from a media perspective. If he said he thought they were similar or better, he'd be made out to be big-headed and that's certainly not what he is. I don't like The Beatles either but Harry definitely said the right things there.

Crazed fans have downloaded the app almost 15,000 times since it went live three days ago.
But its maker said if the real Harry does not rate the free game, he will withdraw it.
Jari Huomo said: “I still don’t know if the popularity is a good thing. If Harry doesn’t like the app then I will pull it out the App Store.
“It has been crazy and I expect to hit 100,000 downloads by Sunday. One Direction is the biggest boyband currently, but most of the app games I have seen are not very good.”

The famous friends reportedly jetted off for a luxury break in Jamaica - staying in the former home of James Bond author Ian Fleming.
The property, called Goldeneye, was where Fleming wrote several of the Bond books and was also once owned by Reggae legend Bob Marley.
The three men took the holiday to get some rest before a busy month, the Sun reports, with Corden and Styles both due to take part in next week's Brit Awards.

The cheeky singer, 20, had to rush up on stage at London’s O2 Arena to join Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan.
Supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley presented the band with the award for Global Success but when it came to making their acceptance speech, Harry was nowhere to be seen.
‘Has anyone seen the curly headed one?’ asked Liam. ‘There’s four of us now.’
He added: ‘We’re thanking the fans. We’re straight up thanking the fans. I don’t know where you are, Harry.’
Styles then climbed up the stairs quickly and bowed to the audience.
He explained: ‘I’m really sorry. I was having a wee.’
Host James Corden joked afterwards: ‘Having a wee? Yeah, right. He couldn’t even wait until the end of the show. What is he like?’
He then added: ‘I don’t care what you were doing in there as long as you’re careful.’

Liam Payne, 20, let slip that he had not seen 19-year-old Hazza and his fellow bandmates Niall, Louis and Zayn for three months at the Brit awards on Wednesday night, but Harry says the band needed a long break following on from their 122-date world tour last year.
He said: ‘We’re not breaking up. We’ve spent every day together for months and I forgot what my mum looked like. It’s just holidays.’
And Liam says that although the boys have been apart, they’ve been cracking on with their fourth studio album.
He continued: ‘We have been writing away for the next album and rehearsals are just about to start soon for the tour.
‘We’re not splitting up. We’re on WhatsApp messaging each other all the time, talking about song ideas and just funny stuff from our day.
‘I miss the boys but if you don’t see your family you would go mad.’
And Liam doesn’t have any immediate plans to wind up on The Big Reunion.
‘We don’t want to be on The Big Reunion next year. We don’t want to be on The Big Reunion ever. Well, maybe in 2050,’ he joked to The Sun.

The 20-year-old One Direction star and 18-year-old Kendall are reported to have called time on their long-distance romance to instead focus on their respective careers.
A source told The Sun: 'Kendall has been focusing on her modelIing and Harry is preparing for work on the band's fourth album, as well as their stadium tour.
'The reality is that with everything they both have going on, it's impossible to sustain anything serious.'
The pair first started dating in November after meeting in Los Angeles, and then confirmed their romance with a skiing holiday over the Christmas holidays.
Kendall's recent trip to London, which saw her model during London Fashion Week, was also reported to have been to host a party for Harry's birthday.
However, sources said that the pair's relationship had actually come to an end before then - and the 1D heartthrob did his utmost to avoid any awkward run-ins with his very recent ex.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday: 'Harry purposefully didn't go to the Topshop show or have his planned party so people wouldn't speculate about him and Kendall.'
But despite the pair's time together coming to an end, Harry and Kendall are still said to be on good terms as their split was anything but acrimonious.
The source added to the Sun: 'There's been no major fallout. They're definitely still friends ad haven't ruled anything out in the future.'
Harry is no stranger to a celebrity relationship, having dated stars including Caroline Flack, Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne.
However, Kendall has so far only been in relationships with her high school boyfriend Julian Brooks, who she is reported to have dumped for cheating on her, and Harry.
Despite the claimed split, Kendall appeared in good spirits on Saturday as she attended the launch of her new handbag line with sister Kylie before joining siblings Khloe and Kourtney to watch Miley Cyrus perform at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
MailOnline has contacted spokespersons for Harry and Kendall for comment on the split allegations.

Unveiling his graphic new inking during a shopping spree in Melrose Avenue on Monday, the One Direction, 20, proudly displayed the anatomical heart design on his left bicep.
The image, complete with ventricles and aorta, accompanies another, much more simple, heart image on the same arm.
Harry admitted last year that he regretted some of his tattoos, which include a Holy Bible and a large anchor, in an interview with We Love Pop magazine.
He said: 'There are some that my friends have done and some that are just awful.'
However it looks as though he hasn't been put off from having more as he strolled casually in the sunshine.
Don't get me wrong, I love most of Harry's tattoos and he suits them so much, but it's becoming a bit excessive now.

Edit: Just realised this news article was on Page 1.
The Beatles aren't my thing either, but I'd never say they were shit. Clearly their impact on 60s culture was huge; pretty much an entire generation absolutely loved them, and that's stretched into new generations too. Obviously a lot of people hold The Beatles in a very high regard and there must be good reasons for that. More crucially, the media regard The Beatles as the ultimate musical act as well.
Harry was completely right to say that they're not on the same level/or are better than The Beatles, musically. A statement like that would probably have bad consequences for them tbh, even if a lot of today's generation of teens are very much of the opinion that One Direction > The Beatles. It's best to leave the comparisons purely on the fame side of things.
Besides, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if most of the 1D members preferred The Beatles music to their own, especially Harry.

The heart-throbs cemented their friendship last year after becoming neighbours in London when Johnny was living just around the corner from Harry’s £3million mansion in Hampstead.
The new BFFs sealed their bromance this week when Harry texted Johnny to say he was in LA and to suggest they met up.
Former Oscar winner Johnny has even offered to let Harry stay on his private island in the Bahamas whenever he wants.
A pal of the 1D singer told me: “Harry and Johnny have become good mates lately. Johnny has been on call to give Harry advice and, if he can, help him cope with the pressures of being a superstar.
“They first met when One Direction came round to his LA mansion last summer but it wasn’t until they were neighbours in Hampstead late last year that they really hit it off.
“Harry is in total awe of Johnny and looks on him as his ultimate hero, while Johnny sees Harry as a younger version of himself.
“Each of them has had to deal with being one of the most famous people in the world and have a lot more in common than you might expect.”

But Harry Styles and Taylor Swift were last night reunited for one of the first times since their bitter break up at The Weinstein Company's pre-Oscar bash.
Despite being seated at separate tables at the glitzy affair at the Montrose Hotel in Beverly Hills, the couple were seen having a civil conversation.
An onlooker said: 'They looked totally fine considering all their history.'
Taylor looked stunning in a cream dress with a dark lipstick, complimented by her new bob.
While One Direction heartthrob Harry donned a smart Burberry suit for the night.
At one point during the lavish dinner attended by Oprah Winfrey and Meryl Streep, Taylor's song age wrote for Weinstein flick One Chance was played as Harry sat talking to movie executives.
The last time the pair were in the same room together, things were decidedly more frosty.
Accepting her VMA award for best female video for I Knew You Were Trouble, Taylor appeared to make a jibe at Harry - whom the song is believed to be about.
The singer said: 'I want to thank the person who inspired this song because he knows exactly who he is, because now I've got one of these' as the camera panned on Harry while his band mates sat smirking beside him.'
However, their January 2013 split looked far behind them at the prestigious party.
The A list crowd were treated to a performance by Harry's pal, Gary Barlow.
The Take That star has written all new songs for the musical Neverland, being produced by movie honcho Harvey Weinstein.
As Oprah and her best friend Gayle king bopped along, Mr Weinstein told MailOnline he was thrilled by the music he now plans an All star album with Taylor Swift on board.

Harry is loved by ladies across the globe, but when it comes down to romance, sources have said that it's not so easy for the curly haired cutie to find a girlfriend.
A source told E! News of the Kiss You superstar: "He wants a serious girlfriend, but just can't find anyone he feels can deal with the life that he leads right now."
Will Hazza's next girlfriend be from Los Angeles? He has been spending a lot of time stateside recently and the insider continues to say that life is a lot easier for the hunk overseas because he gets less attention from the media.
The source adds: "He likes being in L.A. because it's easier for him to go out and go unnoticed than it is for him in London."
Despite Harry getting less attention in Hollywood, paps recently went crazy when the stud was spotted getting close to Keeping Up With The Kardashians beauty Kendall Jenner. However, with the pair both living hectic lifestyles, insiders have said that they have decided to call it a day and are no longer together.

The 20-year-old One Direction star is believed to be dating Kills frontwoman Alison Mosshart, 35, after they were spotted getting intimate on a night out at The Box in London’s Soho.
An onlooker revealed: ‘They were very touchy-feely in a booth and both pretty drunk.
‘But they were having a great time together, laughing and joking with a lot of PDA.
‘It was Harry who made the move as he was looking after her.
‘At one point he was stroking her hair as she lay her head on the table. Harry’s knack with women of any age is pretty amazing,’ the insider added to The Sun.
And Alison looked pretty smitten when the pair were seated next to one another front row at Burberry’s London Fashion Week show last month.

Yesterday the group posted a picture of some stick figures on Twitter, apparently drawn by hearththrob Harry.
“In the studio with @Harry_Styles in LA writing a tune, sounds massive. He's gone and done a drawing of us,” the band captioned the pic.
Steve from Kodaline also revealed that Harry is a huge fan of the Irish rockers.
“We played a show in LA and Harry Styles just turned up,” Steve told Ryan Seacrest on his US radio show.
“He just said he’s a big fan, he listened to our music all the time,” he added.
And Steve was impressed with just how level-headed 20-year old Harry was. “You expect them to have bodyguards but he’s just a really cool, down to earth guy,” he explained.
Last month it was revealed that Harry was the first member of 1D to branch out into writing solo material, having apparently penned twenty new tunes.
He has also written a track with singer-songwriter John Legend.

The 20-year-old pop heartthrob threw on in a feathered war bonnet, traditionally worn in battle and for ceremonial occasions, in an artistic black and white snap, which was promptly uploading to the social networking site.
But the image quickly divided his loyal army on micro-blogging site Twitter, in particular receiving criticism from fan account @1Dneews, which boasts an impressive 732,000 followers.
The page, run by four One Direction fans, said in a series of posts after seeing the shot: 'Cultural appropriation is not nice, regardless of context or intent. let's leave it at that.
'I don't think harry is a bad person. i think there's underlying inequality all around the world in current times. i know that i even perpetuate it myself.
'That's why it's even more important to recognize our mistakes and to act on them.' (sic)
But numerous other fans were quick to jump to the defence of the star, explaining that Harry was merely trying the headpiece on and suggesting the page was making a 'big deal out of nothing'.
One wrote: 'Maybe he just liked the way it looked on his head................
'But if anything it's making a deal out of nothing, I know you mean well but there really is nothing meant by it, we all know that.'
To which the One Direction fan page responded: 'I don't think he was trying to be hurtful or offensive.
'I'm just trying to point out the bigger issue, because people are trying to downplay it to protect him. i love harry and i'm sure he's not 'racist' but we shouldn't turn a blind eye.'
One user that helps to run the page even turned against whoever had written the original post, writing: 'Oh so these days you can't wear different things from other peoples cultures without getting called racist? Cool. Idiots.'
But refusing to back down, @1Dneews wrote: 'i don't think you should be able to for the sake of fashion. not that that's necessarily what harry's doing, but in terms of the bigger picture.
'I love you kristy, i'm not trying to start a fight. but being a minority, it's just something that's important to me.'

That is honestly SO ridiculous. It actually makes me laugh that people are so shallow and simply cannot accept the fact that a lot of people embrace different cultures. "Racism" is slowly becoming such a massive cliché.

There has been almost constant speculation about Harry's future plans recently, with claims he is hoping to strive a path on his own. These rumours were compounded when he bought a property in Hollywood recently, as it's been suggested he wants to move into acting.
"Harry prefers LA because he could be a real star over there. He wants a solo career like Justin Timberlake's," an insider told British magazine Heat. "He's already been writing for Kodaline and [The X Factor USA winners]Alex and Sierra, and recording solo demos. He wants to act, too, and he can't get the real gig if he stays in a boyband that 12 year olds like. He loves 1D, but he feels it could limit his longevity. He asked Kendall [Jenner]: 'How many boybands do you know that keep going for more than five years?'"
Harry and Kendall have an on/off relationship, said to be another reason why the singer wants to relocate.
He's been spending a lot of time in Los Angeles lately and apparently has used it to his advantage by meeting major players in the industry.
"Harry's making connections - he's not taken seriously in the US yet and he wants desperately to change that. He has the big picture in mind and his bandmates know it. It's a matter of time before he goes solo," the source claimed.

The Coldplay frontman was doling out advice on Tuesday as a special guest adviser on The Voice when he was told that the youngest contestant, 16-year-old old Deja Hall, was struggling to relate to love songs.
'Deja, she's never been in love, she's always found it difficult to connect emotionally to romantic songs,' coach Shakira told 37-year-old Chris as the girls rehearsed the moving ballad Say Something by A Great Big World.
'What about Harry Styles?' Chris instantly shot back with a smile. 'I mean, me too, by the way!'
If Harry was watching the show, Chris's compliment was soon counterbalanced by a stinging put-down on the boy band by Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine.
After two contestants performed One Direction's Story Of My Life, Adam said: 'That was a song originally sung by boys, sung by a couple of men up there on that stage tonight.'
'Oh no you didn't!' fellow coach Blake Shelton said in amazement at the public put down.

The 20-year-old is reported to have been keen to work with the 'Counting Stars' hitmaker and songwriter for a while but it's only recently that they've managed to put pen to paper and create songs together.
A source reportedly told The Sun: “Harry and Ryan have been working on new material together. They’ve met a number of times before with the band but have never worked together properly.
“There’s a mutual appreciation there. If there’s one person to get the best out of Harry, it’s Ryan. The new relationship will come in handy if Harry does try his hand at going solo.”
If reports are true then Ryan isn't the only musician the 'Best Song Ever' singer has been hooking up with as Kodaline tweeted last month: “In the studio with @Harry_Styles in LA writing a tune, sounds massive. He's gone and done a drawing of us.”
It was also alleged that Harry was working with US crooner John Legend with X Factor USA winners Alex and Sierra revealing that they are considering using a song written by the pair for their debut album.
“Our favourite [song]is one that Harry Styles wrote with John Legend, it's beautiful and lovely,” Sierra told The Mirror.
“[Harry] is actually an amazing writer, he's pitched us a few other good ones and they're really good.”
A source seemed to confirm Harry teamed up with John Legend, adding: “It’s a testament to Harry’s talents that he can work alongside John - who is, without doubt, one of the most gifted songwriters of a generation.”
It's not known if any of the material is for One Direction's next album or if Harry is storing it away if he plans on going solo one day.
Reports have steadily been mounting that the curly-haired one IS considering a life away from the band although a rep for the group has previously slammed it as “complete nonsense.”
Why must it always be assumed that because he's working with artists on music that it's for solo material?

Liam did say the next album would be more 'guy friendly' and attract more male fans, so that suggests they could be going in a direction similar to the like of OneRepublic.
Yet again the Sun will just be talking a load of rubbish

When James Corden tried to catch the star out on The Michael McIntyre Chat Show on Monday by playing the send-to-all game Harry was all too ready with a quick comeback.
Playing the show's send-to-all game, James sent a text to everyone on his contact list to see who replied.
James said, "Me and you, lap dancing. Are you in or out? Come on, let's do this."
However the not-to-be-fooled-with One Direction star wrote back a jokey reply,
"Great, but what is it with you and lap dancing? What happened the last time we did that wasn't pretty."
The singer then let on that he was in on the joke, saying,
"Maybe we shouldn't bring Max this time (are you playing send-to-all with Michael McIntyre?)".
Harry has previously been the victim of similar pranks before. On Nick Grimshaw's Call or Delete game on BBC1 the star agreed to lend £5,000 in cash to a celebrity he barely knew.
The game requires a guest on the show to scroll through their phone book and when they are told to stop, they either have to call or delete that person from their contact list.
Matt Healy from boy band The 1975, had to ring and prank Harry, who he has only met on a few occasions.
Matt began by explaining,
"Sorry I've never rung you before now, I was just wondering, this is going to sound ridiculous, I need £5,000 and I'm in Chalk Farm, I know it sounds ridiculous but it is a serious situation, I'm in a phone booth and a bloke is pointing to a picture of Mark Owen, it's actually quite threatening."
A seemingly calm Harry replied,
"OK, well we're in Bristol. But let me go and I'll get my assistant to call you and she'll sort it out."

Deadline reports that UTA have bought the screen rights to Anna Todd's work, which spans three instalments and tells the story of "a happy, optimistic young girl" who falls for a "guy with a dark side that is addictive"; a character based on Harry Styles.
"Tessa Young is an 18 year old college student with a simple life, excellent grades, and a sweet boyfriend," reads the synopsis. "She always has things planned out ahead of time, until she meets a rude boy named Harry, with too many tattoos and piercings who shatters her plans."
It's racked up 500 million hits on Wattpad, making it a logical choice for big-screen transfer - and now, of course, fans will be desperate to find out who'll play Harry and who'll play the girl.
Maybe Harry can play the role himself? Just a thought...
For now though, the 1D boys are incredibly busy with their Where We Are tour, which kicks off later this month in Colombia before heading all over the world.

A source revealed: ‘This should be one of the biggest weeks of the band’s career with the launch of their UK stadium tour.
‘Instead it has been taken over by this controversy. Harry thinks it was a stupid and reckless thing for Louis to allow to be filmed in the first place.’
It’s also believed that the 20-year-old ladies’ man has been using a different private jet to the group’s smokers because he doesn’t approve of the bad habit.

The North London bride faced the dilemma of a life-time on her wedding day when Harry Styles begged her to leave her new husband James just minutes after she'd said "I do".
As estate agent James, 25, got to his feet to begin his speech at London's Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, he unveiled the video to his shocked bride.
"He stood up and said 'Before I start my speech, I want to test Tash to see how much she really loves me.' The video was projected up and I got such a shock when Harry appeared on the screen, asking me to pick him instead of James," Tash exclusively tells Mirror Online.
In the 30-second clip the curly-haired one looks all upset as he addresses the bride directly, pleading: "You don't have to go through with this."
As Tash had already married James, naughty Harry reassures her that: "Annulments are pretty cheap these days and usually happen pretty fast."
The cheeky singer signs off by telling the bride it's not too late and that he'll be waiting for her in a cafe in Borehamwood if she changes her mind.
"It was such a shock - I had absolutely no idea that James had arranged it," Tash says. "When the video ended, James asked me, 'What do you want to do? Stay or go?'. All our guests were shouting 'go' and James gave me the microphone. The first thing I said was: 'Can you play that again?'" Tash laughs.
Luckily for James, after watching the video a second time, Tash chose her new husband over heartthrob Harry and the couple had their first dance to Michael Buble's Everything, followed by One Direction's You & I.
Tash had been a fan of the fivesome ever since their appearance on X Factor in 2010, furiously voting for the boyband to win. They came third in the end but Tash followed their career, with Harry becoming a firm favourite.
She went along to see the band for their Take Me Home tour in 2013 and even saw them at Wembley on their Where We Are tour in June, the night before her wedding.
Thoughtful James had managed to get the personal video through a film producer friend who had worked with the band. He didn't know what lothario Harry was going to say on the clip, until he got it back.
Now, as Tash enjoys her honeymoon in Halkidiki, with her new husband by her side, she finally has time to reflect on her decision.
"My wedding day was unbelievable and Harry's video was the icing on the cake," she said. "It's made me like him even more, but I know I made the right choice. By organising that surprise for me, James showed what a fantastic husband he is."
Tash got her happy ending, but we're sure there are thousands of directioners out there who would have made a different choice!

Harry Styles has shown his support for the first openly gay man drafted into the NFL after wearing his shirt on stage during a concert in St Louis.
The 20-year-old One Direction singer was seen wearing Michael Sam’s St Louis Rams jersey after ESPN sparked controversy earlier this week for reporting on the player’s showering habits at the team’s training camp.
The network later apologised, saying the package “failed to meet the standards we have set in reporting on LGBT-related topics in sports”.
Sam, who came out as gay in February, tweeted Styles to thank him for the support.

I remember the boys including Harry being all drunk on the brits 2012 afterparty. So Harry is no angel either. although it was rumoured Harry was really pissed at Zayn and Louis when the video leaked and there was a certain distance between Louis/Zayn and Harry/Niall at that period. One thing that i still find weird is is that Harry and Louis were the biggest friends in the band and nowadays there is a certain distance between them.

Then now if you look at it, Harry has a lot of famous friends and is a bit of a socialite now, whereas Zayn & Louis are not like that (plus they're Yorkshire boys, so probably have a lot in common).
Wouldn't surprise me at all in they've dabbled in drugs a little bit.. they're popstars marketed as rock stars. On the celebrity circuit these things are like sweets.

Yeah it seems to be a teaser trailer for the movie, quite a lot of the big budget films are releasing teaser trailers now as it is currently Comic Con in America! (For example, the King Arthur trailer/maybe Wonder Woman trailer are also being released and they are both released around the same time as Dunkirk!)

It is an ensemble cast, so there are lots of characters as opposed to a main character.
There are 3 storylines running, Harry is a part of one of them. There are 3 soldiers who are the main characters in this storyline, of which Harry is one of them. But he is secondary to the lead in this story.

Harry inducted Stevie Nicks into the Rock & Roll hall of fame last night (her second time!) and he called her his idol. Some really sweet pics going around. Stevie referred to him as a member of N Sync by mistake before correcting herself They also performed Stop Draggin' My Heart Around together.
