It makes no sense why they've removed Louis Tomlinson after just 2 weeks on the C-list when (a) it's doing alright in the charts, (b) they A-listed Niall, and (c) it's meant there's now a spare place on the C-list. Surely they could have just kept him on for another week?!

Anyway nice to see that they're still regularly updating the playlist all through the festive season, with plenty of new additions today biggrin.gif

Surprised Louis was dropped so quick, it's not as if the song is performing badly on iTunes or Spotify! Ouch at Olly Murs also!

Dua Lipa biggrin.gif hopefully 'Be The One' becomes a good hit.

good to see Nadia Rose on the playlist too.

that is very strange about Louis Tomlinson, it seems like the sort of thing R1 would really get behind plus it's a big hit unsure.gif

WTF R1.... So you quickly rush onto Louis, give it an instant add to the playlist and it get chuckled off there after 2 weeks. mad.gif

Oh well it's at least good to see Dua Lipa, Bastille, Beyoncé, Crystal Fighters, Nadia Rose & M.O added and Naughty Boy & Machine Gun Kelly moving up.

Quite shocked we have an updated playlist this week when so many would be off work in radio 1 - I cant imagine the playlist meeting was too long - maybe that's why there are quite a few errors/shocks with Louis seemingly big hit taken out before its even got started (how much airplay can it have had these past 2 weeks with xmas tracks etc??)

Good to see Childish Gambino/Circa Waves/Naughty Boy/Seana Paul moving up. hopefully The XX gets A listed in the next 2 weeks before the albums out.

Also great new adds for Crystal Fighters (shocked they are supporting a 2nd single from them), The Amazons (could be a big year for them) & The Big Moon (Formidable has been played lots by Annie Mac and has the potential to become a big indie anthem).

Sad Flame by Sundara Karma isn't A Listed - the albums out next Friday, looking forward to listening to my first new album of 2017!!

I think Louis' removal is a mistake.

Maybe but tracks not on the playlist can still be played - would have to check the 'most played' list on Sunday or the hour by hour played tracks to see if its reoccurring!

Some of those songs still on the A-list need to go. Craig David??

I also never understand why they drop songs from the A-list rather than have them shift back down to B or C first.

They used to shuffle down and still do sometimes on radio 2, its a good idea but stifles newer songs taking precedence I'm happy with them leaving the full list but continuing to get plays.

Cause R1 was always about new music first, so by the time a song reached the A-list and spent a few weeks there, it was already old news and didnt need to go back down the playlist.

Surprised they've dropped Olly. The song isn't doing great but the album is hugely popular.

Really hope their continued support of 'Water Under The Bridge' can turn it into a hit.

Baffling at how they've removed Louis, I can only assume it was an error or due to his fall in the charts? However, it is good to see Nadia Rose get playlisted, hopefully Tight Up can be a hit for her.
