Something is FINALLY happening with Lucie's career - she's releasing an EP on 3rd February! Better than nothing, considering her last album was out EIGHT YEARS ago!
QUOTE British singer-songwriter Lucie Silvas has shared big news on her social networks confirming the upcoming release of her first self-titled EP “Lucie Silvas“, scheduled to be released on February 3, 2015. This extended play arrives almost one year after the release of her latest single “Letters to Ghosts“, first cut from her third album that never saw the light. I’m so excited about new Lucie Silvas music! YASSSSS |

QUOTE Lucie Silvas’ new self-titled EP will be released February 3 on Furthestpoint Records via Caroline. As a special preview, the album track “Unbreakable Us” premiered today at CMJ and can now be heard/shared via Soundcloud. Of the song, CMJ praises, “‘Unbreakable Us’ has subtle traces like intermittent tambourine, rhythmic banjo and the sudden sweeping chorus that mark her as a little left of the Nashville mainstreets she now calls home. Despite her New Zealand by way of London upbringing, her resonant voice sounds like she was weaned in the Tennessee hills..." The EP also features the first single “Letters To Ghosts,” which can be purchased now via iTunes. Watch the song’s official lyric video here. A full-length album will follow in 2015. More details to be announced. Born in London, raised in New Zealand and now calling Nashville home, Silvas has enjoyed massive critical and commercial acclaim since she debuting at age 17—selling over 1 million albums in Europe alone and achieving success as both a musician and songwriter. She has also shared the stage with numerous acclaimed artists, including Elton John, Jamie Cullum, Lionel Richie, Kacey Musgraves, Tom Jones and Jamiroquai. The 5-song EP was recorded in Nashville and was produced by Silvas, John Osborne (Brothers Osborne) and Ian Fitchuk (Mindy Smith, Griffin House). Of the new material, Silvas comments, “While I am so involved both emotionally and personally with each song, individually, on the entire album, I really think the EP is a solid sign and a great sampling of what is to follow on the full length release. These songs all really belong together—more than I ever thought they would. Every bit of everything I’ve got in myself went into this music; the energy, the emotion and the story. Writing and making an album with all the people I love was the only thing that made it possible. I never felt the same freedom to tell the truth about myself before—the good and bad— and that’s the only way I want to make music, from a genuine place. Every artist and musician I’ve been inspired by has influenced the sound of this record and many people that have come in and out of my life inspired the stories.” 1. Letters To Ghosts 2. Shame 3. How To Lose It All 4. Unbreakable Us 5. Roots So only one new track for me Although I'm fairly sure the Shame MP3 I have is only a demo. Wonder if she's reworked Roots from a few years ago or not. She and this press release thing seem very certain that the full album is coming very quickly after too I'll believe it when I see it but it's giving me hope anyway. |

So this was only out in the US yesterday We get it on Monday in the UK. Really annoyed to have to wait longer than expected but what's another week when I've waited 8 years for this already The previews are sounding great though

So I finally found a link to this EP, unsurprisingly I absolutely love it The new version of Roots just improves on the already great original, and Shame is another highlight. Sound-wise, you can hear she's been working in Nashville as there are definite country elements to the songs, but I love it and it works so well with her voice Worth the 8 year wait? I don't know, probably best to judge the full album for that question, apparently coming within 6 months!

Decided to give this a listen as what you're made off is amazing and so Joseph isn't like the only person stanning for her
09 Letters To Ghosts 09 Shame 10 How To Lose It All 09 Unbreakabke Us 04 Roots Absolutely stunning EP (apart from roots). How to lose it all is the highlight on first listen and is an amazing track and I hope roots grows as I wasn't sure on it on first listen |

The opening of Roots is something that works very well live but just sounds odd on the studio version It doesn't bother me too much though, I think it's an absolutely gorgeous track! Helps that I've known it for 4 years
So glad you're a fan of this Ultra, I've pretty much been hearing it non-stop since the other day. Make sure to hear both her albums when you get a chance, they are both absolutely stunning My rate: 10.0 Letters To Ghosts 09.5 Shame 09.0 How To Lose It All 09.0 Unbreakable Us 11.0 Roots |

The wait for her new album is becoming a joke, i woud love to know the real reason for its delay. Unless she comes back with something mega its going to bomb.

I don't think her aim is chart success, she surely knows it's way past the time for that
There's been many reasons for delays I'm sure but I'd imagine the main one is not having any way to release it until recently. She's been hyping it up for the first time though and I'm confident we'll get some news soon! |
