Friday Chart Predictions

Little Mix are looking to oust David Zowie of his top perch with their new track "Black Magic", Years & Years should stay safe at #2 with "Shine", "Eyes Shut" could also make an appearance lower down the chart. Sam Feldt featuring Kimberly Anne "Show Me Love", Avicci "Waiting For Love", and improving on last week's position The Chemical Brothers are set for a brand new peak inside the top 40 with "Go".

Years & Years look pretty much certain to bag the #1 album with their debut release "Communion". Also new album releases from Fifth Harmony "Reflection", Groove Armada "Little Black Book" and R5 "Sometime Last Month".

100k+ for Little Mix seems pretty certain, yeah? Expecting 30k/40k for Y&Y but would hugely welcome bigger sales.

I'd imagine Little Mix can manage around 110-120k. Surely their preorders must have been at least 30k?

I'm thinking it'll do similar to Jason so 120 - 130k. I actually think the way the chart is now with weekend effect/streaming combining, it could be close to 100k on tomorrow's midweeks. Going on to not sell much more in comparison later in the week.

I'm HOPING Communion can shock us and sell 40k+, though indie electro-pop isn't generally the genre that sells albums by the bucket-load.

I'm hoping at least 50k+ for Communion, it just feels like the most hyped album of the year.

Little Mix should have a good lead, I guess their sales will slow down as the week goes on though.

Hopefully we get our first set of mids tomorrow at some point, and twitter will be your best friend (Mint Royale) to seek out the info from.

Not sure Little Mix shifting over 100k is a given, sales are at a low ebb at the moment and I'd expect 'Black Magic' to slow down a lot into the new week~

Avicii and Sam Feldt to smash it into the top5 plz wub.gif

Fingers crossed for 'Communion' heart.gif ~ just hope Ed Sheeran's Wembley gigs don't throw a spanner in the works dry.gif

I think Little Mix will hit 100K, probably not much more than that however.

They seem to be selling about twice as fast as Years & Years were at the tail end of last week when they were selling around 6K/day. So a rate of 12K/day + pre-orders seems likely to me. That works out at around 104K (using massive rounding estimates and assuming that Spotify is missing again - not that they are charting there anyway as it was held back!)

I'd like Commuion to sell a lot but it's not that great so I don't care if it doesn't.

In a word, no. There is a chart update on Radio 1 tomorrow, so we will have something by late tomorrow afternoon. Whether the OCC publish a full top 100 update remains to be seen.

Don't know if we have any chart info during the day, been a Monday we are not use to getting one, its not 100% guaranteed. Should have the top 100 tonight though, around 6pm (ish) from OCC.

I reckon it'll be Little Mix and Years and Years top 2 this week. 'Communion' number 1 album. Do we know if the Spotify issue from last week has been looked into?
