Yeah, I think moving from Epic to Mercury also did nothing for her. I don't think it had anything to do with her finally revealing that she had lied about her age - if anything, her greatest hits sort of performed disappointingly in an era where greatest hits were big sellers. It sort of signalled that interest was waning tbh and she needed to do something to recapture the public's attention and Heavy Rotation just wasn't it.

Also, I don't really think it was the right time for a Greatest Hits. In my mind, she had like 3 properly well-known songs among the GP before the Anastacia era. There wasn't exactly much incentive for anyone to buy that who didn't already own the last album.

She should've had a 4th album (of material that was up to scratch) ready to go by mid-2006!

Me neither, just her singles. Most of which I liked.

Well this one is almost objectively her very best, they do all have their moments though (yes, I even believe that of Heavy Rotation!)

For shame so far, only Not That Kind. I await the rest but she’s so bad at releasing anything these days, I’m not holding my breath.

I loved I Can Feel You & Absolute Positively back in 2008. Not sure what the test of that album is like though.

I haven’t listened to it in a very long time but I do remember this being a pretty consistent album. Probably very much of its time now but it was a deserved success

My mum has the album which I heard lots when I was younger. Will have to listen again as I very much enjoyed the singles from it.

20 years since release. God, I feel so old. But what an album.
