Up really made me take notice (I liked If This Is Love but I just thought "eh they'll have split in a year's time" as it didn't seem like enough to push them too much), but it was Missing You that made me stan too!

Naturally, "Up" sparked my interest in them but it wasn't until December 2009 when I got Now 74 for Christmas that Forever Is Over made me really love them. It was one of those "this is my song" moments! I'm a bit guilty of not really following On Your Radar/30 Days though, such a bad fan:cry:

All Fired Up is the first song I heard from them and it immediately shot to #1 for 10 weeks on ny chart. I downloaded the rest of their singles and that was the end of Tim the Sane

If This Is Love - as soon as I noticed Godchelle leading a new group I jumped straight into stan mode. At the time, I absolutely LOVED ITIL but then hated Up, then loved Issues and the rest is history.

Discovered them when I came across the video for Higher on YouTube. Obviously they had never released anything here so I had no other way of discovering their music. I really liked the song which motivated me to check out the rest of Headlines! I couldn't really get into any of the other tracks at that time (not even Missing you ohmy.gif) so I quickly forgot about them. Then a year or two later I saw the My Heart Takes Over (Digital Dog Remix) video on YouTube and really liked it. I checked out the rest of On Your Radar and the rest is history! It took me some time to get into their back catalog like Wordshaker, Chasing Lights, and Headlines! but of course I love them all now.

I read an article about The Sats on PopJustice and was excited to see what they would be like as I liked Frankie & Rochelle in SCJ. From listening to If This Is Love and then seeing them on the TU tour I became a fan. I remember that summer in 2008 when I went on holiday having the album sampler, What Am I Gonna Do and live tour audios on repeat and became obsessed very quickly.

I'm just going to ignore that statement and comment on the fact that our avatars look like they came from the same photoshoot. Only just now realized that. Moluna heart.gif

I always "liked" 'If This Is Love' upon release and then they released 'Up' which showed me these girls have potential to become the new Girls Aloud and really captivate me. Then I found the performance of 'Issues' from the Nokia Green Room sessions they did and THAT was when I properly got into them. It's one of the main reasons as to why I still adore 'Issues' as much as I do!

I could take or leave 'If This Is Love' at the time (love it now!), but it was 'Up' which got me into The Saturdays and was the first single I bought from them. And then 'Missing You' took it to another level as it lead to me getting the 'Headlines' album and then going back and buying their first two albums which I didn't have - I just had lots of CD singles!

Whatever song they sang first on the Tangled Up tour supporting GA. Fell in love with them right away. wub.gif
Rochelle was my favourite initially and then they started being interviewed and she opened her mouth and it fizzled.

The sound of Rochelle's voice got me into them heart.gif

This.

It actually all started when I looked back S club 7 songs and I stumbled on S club 8. I went through wikipedia to see how the junior were doing now and where they were at and that's how I found out about The Saturdays and Rochelle.

I really loved her strong alto R&B-ish tone. It was For Ever Is Over when I first noticed that, I even thought she was doing the chorus. I found out later she had a really weak higher register and it actually Vanessa carrying the chorus. I really wanted to hear more of her voice, so I kept listening to her their music. I remembered how obsessed I was with Vulnerable. I think I discovered them shortly before they released their Ego video and Rochelle didn't even had a big part, so I just waited for them to release their next single, which I hoped would've been One Shot.

Months later I checked in on them again and I saw they released a song called Higher (somehow I ignored Missing You) and at this moment I knew I would never stan for these girls. They had such amazing singles before, and I just couldn't believe in what their sound had turned to. It sounded a bit like childish pop for me, it was so silly and cheesy, I didn't get it. This was Major turn off and I just decided to leave it as it is. It wasn't until the On The On Your Radar previews were released that I tried to find some interest in them again, I quickly went through all their OYR tracks and to be honest the only tracks I liked were Get Ready Get Set and The Way You Watch, the other tracks sounded too dancy for me. Apart from not liking any songs on On Your Radar, I still made the effort of finding any of Rochelle vocals, but I discovered she was still only singing tiny verses. I decided not to listen to them for a while again.

I felt that she was benched all the time despite being capable of carrying a whole song on her own. I always deeply hoped that one day she would do a big note that would blow me away, but after listening to One Shot and other peak Rochelle songs it almost seemed impossible. One day I decide to watch the Faster live chart show performance, I earlier skipped through the video after reading the comments about how amazing Rochelle was, but made one mistake I skipped too much and I missed the legendary note! So another day I decided to come back and watch the whole video, and she just blew me away....

And that was the Story of how Totto became a Rochelle fan or Saturday fan whatever....

Although I do find that she somehow lost that strong mid-range R&B tone. But at least she now more capable of singing higher notes. I would give anything to hear record a proper Rhythm and Blues track, just one time.

I remember seeing adverts for the group and If This Is Love circulating on television, my sister actually recognized Rochelle but not Frankie. I didn't like If This Is Love as it resembled the Juniors a little too much for me. Then Up premiered and I was forever hooked, I actually started following their chart runs from then on. It was incredible seeing each consecutive single chart higher than its predecessor.

I remember watching the making of Work on channel 5 and that's when I find out Mollie was a Britney stan (don't know why I didn't know beforehand). It was amazing.
