Voted! The Semi 1 qualifiers were mostly great to be fair!
No idea what happened with the Semi 2 qualifiers, apart from about five songs they should have almost wholesale been switched around with the DNQ's imo. |

For the most part I'm pleased with the Semi 2 qualifiers! It was a great set of songs overall and sadly when only 50% of them can progress, there's always going to be a fair few casualties. I think it's very encouraging to see relatively low-key countries or new countries doing well though.

Almost about to vote. Need to listen to my top 20 or so again and then get the final order in place!
Paulini is f***ing incredible though. It's what Cascada should be doing now/what they should have sent to Eurovision a couple of years ago (as great as 'Glorious' was!) her voice reminds me so much of Natalie's |

I think there was an anti-dance bloc for a change (loadsa ballads made it through) cos the dance tracks all became much of a muchness with nothing to make them stand out, giving those that sounded different extra votes while the votes were spread thinly elsewhere.... |

Not really an 'anti-dance bloc' but semi 2 was pretty much full of POP HOE countries who tend to not be very receptive to some genres, especially the whole chilled dance / deep house style of late. Not saying there's anything wrong with that of course, different people will always have different tastes, but Above & Beyond et al were (PROBABLY, this is a generalisation) never going to appeal that much to the likes of Ramrynia, Bellamia, Unovia, New Lexico, Sandebörg, Sandénia etc. etc. 'Cassiopeia' really got the short straw in that semi, I would watch out for it in the Rejects competition as I'm pretty sure it would have been top 10 in the final had it not had such a nightmare semi! |

I've become worryingly obsessed with 'Boomerang' - consecutive wins pls

I've run into the problem of not being able to satisfactorily order my top 3 as they're completely inseparable and all fully worthy of the 12 (it's 'Wolves'/'Alchemy'/'The Space Between Us' over again). Three more 10/10 (on the very liberal Bré scale admittedly) moments in here as well and I could have voted for another five songs, although on the other end of the spectrum there was a lot more deadwood than I realised in this final, it seems like most of the weakest songs of the month (ESPECIALLY from semi 2) coasted through.
Sending my votes shortly anyhow. |

Have to agree, on the whole, the semi final 2 qualifiers were well below par! Still find it hard to believe 'Cassiopeia' DNQ'd tbh |

I actually really enjoyed the qualifiers as a while even though 5 of my notes didn't make it through. Still thought I was a dead cert for Q this month sadly
