Due to popular demand Ultimate Unknown Pleasures is back for 2011.

This year we had four competitions - UP 4 to 7 which were bountiful with new and old music from the fringes. Because of the amount of participants in these type of competitions the rush to absorb and assess 30 new songs by mostly unfamiliar artists can sometimes leave no room for slow-burners or growers. Ultimate Unknown Pleasures is a chance for them to make their mark.

For anyone who does not have one or more of the folders of tracks and would like them please send me a PM with the ones you need. I will reply with the download links by midnight for anyone who sends their message this evening and by mid-day tomorrow for anyone who sends it over night.

As it's NYE tomorrow I wont be near my computer from 3pm until about 3pm on Sunday afternoon. So if you don't get your required links by then I will get them to you on Sunday afternoon.

Voting

Please vote for your favourite 20 tracks (from any of the four competitions) in the following manner - two digits, one space, artist name, dash, track name. It would be great if you could order them - best at the top.

Please send your votes to me by PM to maintain some sort of secrecy and anticipation of the results. Discussion in the thread is left at your discretion. Entrants cannot vote for their own entries.

Voting will close on Sunday 8th Jan at 23.47 pm. Results will commence on Monday evening in a countdown or rate type fashion and not in the usual Unknown Pleasures style. I will present the Top 30.

If the timings don't suit with the upcoming Unknown Pleasures VIII then can the organiser of that let me know.

Any question please ask and if anyone has spotted a huge oversight on my part feel free to bring it up and we'll discuss it in this thread.
