I wouldn't be surprised if another spin series comes off from that epsiode, it could easily be done, like The Sally Sparrow Mysteries, but than again do we need more spin off series from Dr. Who

I think the "Sally Sparrow Mysteries" would be a damn sight better than "Torchwood" to be honest... Especially if they got Steve Moffatt to write all the episodes for it....

I honestly think that you are in a tiny minority in not rating Freema's acting skills tbh...

I really dont think so Jark.... I'd say it was more 50/50 to be honest....

Sorry mate, but when a strong female character actor is present, Freema just disappears into the background... Billie Piper held her own against a lot of good deal more experienced actors (it takes someone with talent to stand up to a superb, wonderfully versatile character actor like Chris Eccleston that's for damn sure...), Freema just doesn't have this ability, and this has been exposed several times now in the series.... Ditch her, and get Sally Sparrow....

Just that Jessica is an amazing actress (who btw deserves FAR more recognition that she gets, and i loved her last comedy, According To Bex tongue.gif). But yer, i dont think she was that outacted - she did fine, but the story wasnt really as about her as others have been.

I totally agree with you - Carey was good but no better than Freema. The more I see Freema the more I fall in heart.gif

There's two series, honestly buy them if you see them! You won't be disappointed.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are in it too, and Mark Heap (Alan in Green Wing).

Spaced has to be one of my favourite programmes ever. It was brilliant, and hilariously funny. If you've seen and enjoyed Shaun Of The Dead then Spaced is very similar. It is well worth seeing if you haven't already.

I definitely agree the Sally Sparrow Mysteries would be a much better series than Torchwood.

The first series of Spaced was brilliant. I didn't enjoy the second series as much. However, I suspect that was mostly because I hadn't seen the films being parodied.

One thing I liked about the second series was that they parodied scenes from the first series. laugh.gif
