It was very different and even when it was released it surprised many people.
I believe no one expected Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds to duet with Kylie but it worked magically. Nick Cave has such great respect for Kylie and he has played an important role in Kylie's career. |

The duet was a pivotal time in Kylie's career as Kylie often refers to the song as one of the most important of her career.

I really thought it would have been a bigger hit but her popularity was low at the time, thankfully it did really well here in Ireland and her only hit from that time.

Yep I think people were just confused at who/what Kylie was then. WTWRG actually done really well most places but was essentially a flop here - always frustrated it just missed out going Top 10! |

BBC:
QUOTE Kylie Minogue's decades-spanning greatest hits set has become the most-watched Glastonbury performance ever. An average audience of 3.2m people tuned in to see her play the festival's "legend slot", beating previous highs set by Ed Sheeran and Adele. Viewership peaked at 3.9m during the closing minutes of Kylie's set, as she played Dancing and Spinning Around. The emotional show came 14 years after a cancer diagnosis forced the star to pull out of a planned headline slot. "In 2005, I was meant to be here," she reminded fans from the stage. "Circumstances meant that I did not make it." As the crowd chanted her name in support, the star blinked back tears and had to compose herself before continuing. "I wished things were different - but life is what it is," she said. "We're all here in this moment." The set was broadcast on BBC One later that day, and new figures from the BBC reveal it was viewers' most-popular Glastonbury performance to date. The previous record-holder was Ed Sheeran, whose headline slot on BBC Two attracted an average audience of 3.1m in 2017. A year earlier, the programme featuring Adele's Pyramid Stage performance was watched by 2m people, rising to 3.7m during her set. This year's Glastonbury saw a significant shift in viewership, with audiences increasingly choosing to catch up with performances online. The total number of online requests, including YouTube views, iPlayer requests and live streams, reached 37.5m - an increase of 86% from 2017 (Glastonbury took a year off in 2018). However, TV viewership was down - from 23m in 2017 to 21.1m this year; although that figure is still the second-highest on record. Slay! |

Fair play on those ratings as its showing once again she is still a bug draw.

NME: Kylie Minogue’s 2019 ‘Sunday Legends’ set to be broadcast in full on BBC’s Glastonbury channel
QUOTE Kylie Minogue‘s memorable 2019 Glastonbury set is set to broadcast in full on the BBC’s pop-up Glastonbury channel next weekend.
Minogue performed in the hallowed ‘Sunday Legends’ slot on the Pyramid Stage at last year’s Worthy Farm festival, 14 years on from when she had to cancel her Glastonbury headline slot after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The singer’s 2019 set featured guest appearances from Coldplay‘s Chris Martin and Nick Cave, and the broadcast of her performance became the most-watched in Glastonbury history. This morning (June 18) saw the announcement that Minogue’s 2019 Glastonbury set has been added to the BBC’s dedicated ‘Glastonbury Experience’ channel, which will run next week from 10AM on June 25 to 1AM on June 29 in place of this year’s cancelled festival. Minogue’s set will also be shown during the Glastonbury Teatime Legends show, which will be hosted by Jo Whiley and Mark Radcliffe and broadcast on BBC Two on Sunday June 28 from 6.30PM-8PM. |

Was watching some of the Glastonbury performance last night - such an iconic moment in Kylie’s history.
Glad it’s getting a full re-run, nice bit of promotion! Could potentially give the GH a boost |

Hopefully as I'd love to see sbit back in charts even if it was just for a week as with record shops open sales will increase and it will that bit harder for albums like sbit to get back in the chart.

It could have a chance of a chart return if the repeat gets good viewing figures.

It all helps and I'm sure it will draw a few sales at that price.
