The La's for DFS is really weird. Can you make the connection between songs about heroin and sofas?

Has anyone seen that Channel 4 advert with some retro sounding music on it? I can't remember exactly what it's for, perhaps a particular Channel 4 website, but it has a woman who sounds a bit like Dinah Washington singing (or perhaps it is her?) and I think the lyrics contain something like "I woke up this morning".

I dunno if it is retro or not. But it sounds Retro-y...

Visa Advert: Don Thomas - Come on Train

Although the version being used in the advert is the 'Ian Parton Remix'

Anyone? sad.gif

I think the song also features "oh it's a good day" repeated on the chorus. It's hard trying to find out what it's called as those aren't necessarily distinctive lyrics and I STILL don't know what the advert is for. I think it's to do with Channel 4 and I know there is a chef cooking in it.

No wonder, I described the advert completely wrong. I found out it's an advert for Tropicana when I saw it again today, which has helped me track down the song.

The song it features is Kay Starr - It's A Good Day, it's from the 50s and it's only 2 minutes long. sad.gif It's been bugging me for weeks, I should have really paid more attention everytime I saw it on TV and I would have found it right away. laugh.gif

Well, the song is "Living On The Ceiling" by Blancmange. I have no idea what the ad would be - I try to avoid them as much as possible tongue.gif

I spoke to a friend who's a bit of a TV addict about it. He said he thought it was from a health food or get healthy ad - so I Google'd it - it's for something called Berocca, which is apparently a company that sell vitamin supplements.

What is the song used in the new Greggs advert where the dog eats all the guys pasties. The song goes " Maybe tomorrow I'll wanna settle down, untill tommorrow I'll just keep movin on" Also what was the name of the tv series that used to use the same song as its theme music back in the late 80's or early 90's. I think the series used to be about a man and his dog, (not Lassie) it was a pretty cheesy, crap programme so cant remember much about it.

A quick Google of the lyrics shows that it's "Maybe Tomorrow" by Terry Bush. It was the theme for The Littlest Hobo. It wasn't a chart hit; at least not in the UK.
