Was the LM Christmas single playlisted!?

They don't playlist Christmas songs any longer, but some do get spot plays.

I don’t think so, they didn’t support his last couple of singles either. I think his last one that was playlisted was Rise but I’m not 100% sure on that

R1 abandoning Jonas Blue seems a bit surprising but not complaining as his songs are mostly v mediocre ~

Great for Dua and The Weeknd being added, 2 of their best songs respectively, but the other adds are pretty meh

'Polaroid' was playlisted after 'Rise' but that was back in 2018, nothing he's released since has been playlisted - although having said that he was involved in 'Ritual' last year which was supported. I don't think it's anything to do with Paloma Faith because her collab with Sigala was playlisted.

im hugely surprised that Jonas or Sigala lasted so long on radio 1s playlist. Older dance acts usually fall away quite quickly. Apart from the likes of Martin Solveig, Calvin Harris and a fewe others.

I've never really seen any of the BBC Introducing artists make the transition over to the main playlist recently. Unless I'm missing someone obvious.

beabadoobee's She Plays Bass was a BBC Introducing track on the playlist in November, before making the main playlist about a month later!

Yeah I checked and that was the last one. Very few make the transition though!

It would be interesting to try and compile a list of them all!

I've done a bit of flicking back, and Sam Fender, Sports Team and Celeste were all Introducing playlist artists in the last 2 years.

Wow Sam Fender, didn't realise he was! That's still a really tiny conversion rate though if that's all there is from the last 2 years.

I imagine there's at least been fair few more - I just had a quick look at a couple of old playlists.

Yeah that's not a great rate. Still hopeful for The Mysterines as they've a fair amount of BBC support from elsewhere, regular play from evening shows and Love's Not Enough is A-List on 6 Music having had their previous two C-listed.
