Since I can safely say Dannii's AATW album and singles have basically been, a complete dissaster. The question is,
where does she go from now? My personal oppinion is that she leaves the label. Gets signed to a decent label and takes time making a good solid album. Hopefully another label will pick her up. Use producers that have proven to be successfull for her. Make songs that will be played on the radio like her Neon Nights singles were. Have aggressive promotional campaigns and sing LIVE. Have consistant single releases. But most importantly release original pop/dance songs. Non of this "Vs" and "featuring" etc. Anyone else want to add? I'd like her to give the album one last push with another single (Love Fight) and then assess the situation after that, but she definitely needs a more stable recording contract, AATW don't know what they're doing with her and we've had about one single every year.
And better promotion too, I'm sure record companies must bribe radio to give airplay to a lot of the rubbish I often hear on there. |

I still say release "Love Fight" but I know for a fact it wont help the album at all. The album is finished with now sadly so

On one hand, 'Love Fight' is single worthy and as we're not likely to be hearing anything from her for a while after this project is done and dusted, I'd like to see it released.

Very true. Guarentee she wont release anything now for about 4/5 years. i think we have another "Girl" episode on our hands. One day she will just appear after we've all forgotten about her with a killer dance floor track like she did with Riva (hopefully)

If she can bounce back after all her major flops in the 90s, I'm not too worried about this period, she just needs a big hit to get her back on track which we will get one day.

I agree but it's just really....*tearfully* sad that after all this time she still has to do this. Make comebacks then dissapear only to comeback half a decade again with another comeback. Why can't she just get it right? Even though "Girl" was a commerical failure it was followed by "neon Nights" - That's 2 good albums and to a fan like me she is a success because of it. Im happy aslong as she is releasing good music. I just want her to sell enough to to justify her future releases. I've given up on the "success" thing. The fact that her finest song "Disremembrance" even missed the top 20 shows that she can make good music that just doesn't go anywhere.

The 'Girl' material wasn't very commercial so I can see why a lot of people didn't take to it as much, but I recall in the early 90s she struggled to make the top 40 with some of her releases . At least she's in a better position now.

The album had some really weird stuff on but the singles were very commerical. Maybe not "Disremembrance" I don't know. I know its biased because I adore dannii but I think the "Girl" album was really ahead of its time in terms of sound. She even used xenomania before they became producer wh0res and I know I am not the first person to comment on this. Its a shame when good work goes unrecognised.

although i think love fight is a great track and im not totally convinced now that it will do that well, but if any single has a chance of doing well love fight is the best choice.
I cannot see her diseappearing for 4 or 5 years either,if she does she will be back in 2 years at most, but with what???well she does need a new and stable record company, lots and lots of promotion and most of off a few killer hits,i think she should aim for a solid pop album, with dannii its very hard to know what will happen as she is one of those artists who is never guaranteed a good hit and she cannot afford any mistakes which adds future pressure should she land a new recording contract with someone else |

obviously in a perfect world she would either release love fight or get another label but as ive said i really dont think any label would take the risk even though i would love them too. I have no idea where she will go now but im definetly curious to find out

a majot label may sign her up,after all as much as i ahte saying it when kylie left or parted ways with de con many poeple said no major label would sign her as she had her day, then look what happened,so you never know,i know it was different with kylie as she had a previous 10 years successfull career before it went wrong for a little while

plus danni has been through about 3 labels so the chance of getting a 4th is very small.
